Firefox for iOS Support Forum

I did search for this a few times on here, only found 1 post where someone had a similar issue, but it was not solved.

I have a 12 Pro Max running iOS 16.3.1 running Firefox 111.1 (29556), and since well before that version (about a month now), I have had a persistant issue where "Night Mode" (that is, for webpages) is ALWAYS toggled on.

Dark mode (that is, my iPhone uses darker colors instead of white) is enabled on my phone, and settings do say to follow the Dark mode setting on my phone, but up until a month ago it would only do that for themeatic styling of the browser (tab bar, menus, etc) and not force night mode on every page. On pages that already use a dark styling, it is creating a horrible white inverted mess.

I can toggle night mode off, but as soon as the tab is closed, it will revert to rendering a page in night mode by default.

Is this just me? I have searched around forums and found I seem to be the only one with the issue. I've since switched to Chrome on my phone, but I love FF, it's my main driver on desktops. I'm not having this issue on my iPad Pro (also using iOS dark mode), which makes me think something with the phone settings is getting weird.

When I minimize Firefox and then maximize it launches another window. Why does it add a new tab? I want it to stay on the last tab I was at, but instead I need to go back to the all tabs view and close out the new unwanted window.

How do I take a website url and have it show on the homepage as an Icon? Safari has an add to home screen to do this but I don't see any equivalent in Firefox.

I doNOT want Firefox on my iPhone 12 ios 16.4 to background app refresh! I donot have the it slide turned on either. The Firefox background app refresh is turned OFF! I am typing something using the Firefox Web browser and I go off of it to look something else on a different web browser,as I am already typing something on Firefox web browser. And go back to the Firefox browser where I am typing and it is GONE!!

So how do I get Firefox browser to stop refreshing? please help me, I donot know what to do.

I followed the instructions here:https://blog.mozilla.org/netpolicy/2021/10/28/implementing-global-privacy-control/ to update my firefox browser settings as instructed and set the settings to true, restarted firefox & checked on a GPS tracking website checker to see if the settings were working correctly and despite this the GPS tracking still shows as off?

If I bring up Firefox on iOS it creates a second tab with my Home page in it. Why does it do that? When I have a single tab and I navigate to some arbitrary site and then temporarily switch applications I don't expect, when I return to Firefox, that - pop! - here's another tab with you Home page on it! This should not happen. I am getting really tired of deleting second tabs. Please fix.

I recently started using Firefox on both desktop (Windows PC) and mobile device (iPhone). I rely on my bookmark organization a lot. One thing I noticed is that there's discrepancy in name of "Other Bookmarks" (called "Unsorted Bookmarks" on iPhone) folder placed on desktop Bookmarks Bar (I only use Bookmarks bar and this folder for all my bookmarks).

Is it safe to assume this is merely a temporary and cosmetic discrepancy and this folder will be renamed to "Other Bookmarks" on iPhone too? Or does it have some special properties? Last thing I want is Firefox unsorting my carefully sorted bookmarks...

I'd really like keep one set of synced bookmarks between all my devices and accessible completely from Bookmarks bar on desktop. Is this OK thing to do?

i like firefox and like to use it. BUT when i hit share, it wont let me share on messages. i have to go to chrome. when on mdvip, it wont let me select doctor recipient. have to go to chrome. small problems but i am just using chrome more and more.

On Chrome I get the usual helpful shopping view. On Firefox it is not rendered properly and all I see is a partial image and green check marks. The product name, prices, star ratings, shipping and and Seller name are not visible. It doesn't respond to changing the size of the window or the Fonts. It is improved in trouble shooting mode but that does not tell me where to start to fix it. Thanks

The site bar isnt working in a landscape mode on Ipad Pro 11”. Whenever I click it would just deselect. It doesn’t happen in a album orientation.

I tried reinstalling but it didn’t help

I opened a large PDF on Firefox (among other tabs open) while checking insurance coverage. After scrolling through the PDF a bit and switching tabs, when I went back to the PDF tab, Firefox crashed. Now it opens to a white screen every time I try to open Firefox and crashes shortly afterward. I was hoping I could close tabs, or clear history, but cannot access anything. I’ve cleared all active apps and tried restarting the iPad a few times. I also tried updating the FF app. Is there any other way to get FF running again, or at leave, recover my bookmarks before I uninstall/reinstall?

On my iPad I switch back and forth between Firefox and other apps quite often (using the "App Switcher" or some older method.) But every time I return to Firefox it opens a new tab. I want it to return to the tab I last had focus on, i.e. the tab that I was last looking at and interacting with. This is new behavior over the last few months. Is there a setting that can disable this "feature"?
