Phone and Firefox up to date. This is NOT immediately after iOS update nor after a Firefox update. I have settings confirmed that should keep me in private browsing. Triple checked this. Even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and reestablished proper settings.

I’ll be browsing in a private browser, will re-open Firefox and SOMETIMES, not always, I’ll be in a non-private browser.

What gives??

Hello, I have Firefox installed on my iPad 5, iOS 16.4.1. I only use it in private browsing mode. Frequently after closing Firefox, and then opening Safari, I find that one of the pages that I viewed in Firefox is also now open in Safari. I have no idea how this is happening. Does anyone know? Thank you

Hi, while I was browsing in private mode I opened a link to google maps. I was expecting to be navigated to the google maps website but instead it opened the maps application. This means no private mode anymore since now history is kept in google maps. I was expecting complete privacy by default whilst in private window. Is it though any configuration I can apply so it will stay in the private window?

I bookmarked an article I was reading on incognito. I read it about 1-3 time, in incognito, before deciding I didn’t need it anymore. I deleted it and a few days later was typing something along the lines of the article in the non-incognito browsing and the title up. I typed it into my history and it came up. I deleted it from my history yet it keeps showing up. I have deleted it multiple times and have deleted my history twice.

‘I have an application that creates a complete website on a PC. Five years ago I could copy it to a smart phone and browse in it with almost any web browser. It uses simple HTML. Now all browsers require an on line connection. The side contains 20 years if private information. I need to access it out of range of cell phone towers.
