in the bookmarks page on iOS devices, Why can't we swipe back to the previous state and we have to press the previous arrow, Is it an issue or just something else?

Would want to make this post along time ago but I thought users and developers would notice it.

I have Firefox on my desktop and iPad and both are synced. I love Firefox on my desktop but, honestly, I have to continue to use Safari on my Ipad because the iOS version of Firefox is nowhere near as good. One of my biggest obstacles to converting to Firefox on my iPad is trying to save bookmarks so I can access them on my desktop. When I bookmark a page on my iPad I cannot find it's location on my desktop. Can you please advise where Firefox places bookmarks that are saved on my iPad. Thanks

I finally decided to download Firefox for IOS on my Iphone. once it downloaded I told it to sync, including Bookmarks. When I select Bookmarks from the menu (hamburger) I only see the entries from my Bookmarks Toolbar. The vast majority of my Firefox Bookmarks are in my Bookmarks Menu. Did those not sync, or are they on my Iphone but for some reason they aren't being displayed? If it's important, my main computers are Windows based (one is an old Windows 7 running the latest IESR the other is Windows 11 running a current version of Firefox for Windows) If I'm looking in the right place, my Iphone has Firefox 124.2.

I would LOVE to see the option to either

• save bookmarks to the last selected location
• or to set a different default location than „mobile bookmarks“

The background d is that I usually never want to save to mobile bookmark folder, and almost exclusively use the bookmark bar or even a specific „sort“/„inbox“ folder in it.

Is there a way to achieve this on iOS already?

  For couple weeks , following any external link/reference, such as all 'unsubscribe' links from Apple Mail messages, Firefox opens but homepage rather than to the link/url argument (and url field shows blank, not display the extrrnal link's url address in url input box.
  Support history shows an identical problem in Ff ~117 reported (Aug '23, I think)   (if the condition of Firefox not currently running is same, which I haven't yet been able to determine) and apparently resolved then ( 2 replies, but thread is not visible because FF Support has it recorded as "Archived").

Hi - after deleting then reinstalling Firefox on my ipad I found that all my bookmarks had disappeared. I’ve tried re-syncing bookmarks to no avail, and tried to follow instructions to find my profile (‘about:profiles’, enter) but just reverts back to the same page so can’t progress, tried settings/troubleshooting but no sign of my profile folder let alone ‘Application Basics’. Are my bookmarks permanently gone? Any advice would be much appreciated (I should say I’m not the most computer literate so very probably there’s something I’m not doing right!) - many thanks, Cheryl.

I have set up two bookmarks, both for the same financial institution, one for my wife, and one for myself. It appears that the system has copied the card numbers from the first one, and put them into the second one, so that we can only get access to her cards, not mine, no matter which bookmark we use.

I have a similar problem with saved passwords. They go into the directory with whatever name the organization uses, which isn't always useful. "login.live..." appears several times, and I have to sign in to each of them in turn, to find the one I need. How can I re-name them to something useful?

I find the process of adding bookmarks really difficult. I have a ton of them and I need to keep them organized, so I have to add them to the correct folder when I make them. So on mobile, I have to go to the menu, tap add, quickly tap the "edit" button before it goes away, navigate out of mobile bookmarks to desktop bookmarks, scroll past every single folder and subfolder I have (there are a lot) and finally get to save my bookmark. Then, when I find something else I want to remember in the same category, I have to do the same 6-step process because the browser doesn't automatically navigate to the last folder I saved to. If anyone knows of a way to make the process shorter I would be very grateful.

Help! I’m trying to access my saved articles in airplane mode while traveling. This used to be no problem but new app last year won’t let me. Tell me the secret of how to do it! Thanks.

I installed the newer version of Firefox on Feb. 4, 2024, and nothing from the older version carries over to the new version. How do I migrate bookmarks and history from an older version of Firefox to a newer version, please?

You know, I really need to import my bookmarks from safari to a more secure browser like a privacy browser and I don’t know why I can’t just do that. Where is the option to do that? I mean this feature is so important, if not critical.

I made a ton of bookmarks on safari and now I’m like I need certain bookmarks on a private secure browser like this one.

I have a website that I, apparently, saved (no idea why or how) which appears when I accept [Recently Saved] option in [Customize Homepage]. I know I can hide it but I want to get rid of it completely. I have deleted history, and bookmarks but cannot find anything that I can remove about saved sites. I cannot even find the saved sites on my Mac.

Any indications as to how I can proceed, please?

I can’t get the app on iOS to download without a messed up bookmark setting, which means the settings button will not open! Please offer a solution? I installed and reinstalled, plus I’ve tried to delete files folder etc, but the iOS download is holding onto the old file system, which I messed up. I purposely restarted a brand new account, after five to six years of using my old account, but that changed nothing. The bookmarks aren’t even holding on to Mozilla Firefox desktop site book markers?
