I have been a long time user of the Firefox app on my iPad and never needed to setup 2 step authentication back when it was first installed. I also have Firefox on my iPhone and PC using them without a issue. I know both my user-id and password for my Firefox account. I removed the app from my iPad thinking I had a connection problem, reinstalled it and now when I attempt to login Firefox instructs me to "open your authentication app" and get a 6-digit code to enter for verification. At this point, I am lost. After some searching online for a Firefox authentication app, I think I figured out that Firefox uses the Google authentication app. So, I downloaded the Google app. Well, those instructions (or lack of) are even more confusing. This app ask me scan to a QR code or enter a setup key to get started with adding a account. My question now is, where do I get either of these? There are no instructions in this regard. I gather i am simply unfamiliar with using authentication apps.
I am at a lost on how to proceed. I need some uncomplicated instructions on how to overcome this hurdle and get access to my Firefox app on my iPad back!
