Dear Sir,

In Firefox Focus V8, I clic on the menu, select add to home screen, write the name and clic Add. But there is nothing on the home screen. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S10+ with Android 10. Firefox is set as default. Firefox focus got only 2 permissions : storage and phone. No permissions denied. But i don`t find and can not add the permission to write to the home screen. I can not set as admin apps. I can not give the full network access or install shortcut permission. There is no option to set Firefox Focus to change system settings. I tried with Firefox Focus V8.11.3 and also with a root acces.

Best regards, Chris

I have been using Firefox Focus as my primary browser on Android for a couple of weeks now and the one feature I truly miss is the Reader View. Any chance of incorporating it into a future release? For now the easiest workaround is to open the page in regular Firefox and use the Reader View there. I've also tried sharing the page to Pocket but both of these options are not as convenient as simply clicking on the Reader View button in the Title Bar.

Any comments or suggestions?

For Android Firefox Focus browser, if I use the popular Microsoft-SwiftKey brand keyboard, it is limited to the Privacy browser choice, but that is too narrow, I should be able to pick a different Swiftkey keyboard theme because the forced Privacy browser for SwiftKey only offers hard-to-read fonts on the keys with poor contrast and tiny size font and a distracting pictorial overlay in the center. If this cannot be remedied then FF Focus needs its own keyboard and themes to pick from.

I suggest that Firefox collaborate or purchase EFF on the HTTPS Everywhere add-on and make it a part of Firefox which comes preinstalled. Best practice should be part of the product since many untechnical and/or old people seem to be confused about add-ons in general.

Hi, I am trying to contribute to open source software (firefox focus in particular, since I am familiar working with Java). I clone'd the repo from github: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android

I opened the repo in Android Studio. How do I now configure it to run / launch firefox focus? I tried looking for documentation to get set up, but the Readme on the link above just mentions to "Import the project into Android Studio".

Here is a link to a screenshot of when I try to run it as an android app: https://preview.redd.it/mdyg1vcvcxi41.png?width=1073&format=png&auto=webp&s=bdcf5f6f51d59c9b107b459a0e2fc76dd6db059f

I cannot select any module, and I tried to launch a specified activity (MainActivity) but run is still grayed out.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Are there plans to add support for security keys (U2F, FIDO2), like Firefox for Android has? I use security keys to protect some of my accounts, and Firefox Focus doesn't let me use my key via NFC.

Thanks!

I like having my bookmarks synchronized from desktop to mobile device. I want as much privacy as is reasonably possible from Big Data but am not terribly concerned about Mozilla (please keep that trust!). I would like to be able to log into my Firefox account while using Focus. Are there any plans for this? Is Focus just not meant for that at all? Is it, so-to-speak, an alternative to TOR -- providing an maximum of privacy, in which case being logged into any account might not make sense?
