When I open Firefox I get a message telling me "Failed to read configuration file. Please contact system administrator". When I click OK Firefox opens normally and seems to be fine. Not sure what is going on here. Any ideas why this is happening and how to get rid of it?

hi I would like ask about green icon .Before I did this by security.secure_connection_icon_color_gray in about:config But in Firefox 106 did not works .There is any way to set this ssl green padlock.

I recently had to restore my computer. Doing that I have to get the new firefox which I now have version 102. Updates disabled instantly. I was on version 88. On version 88 this feature was not on it and version 102 now has this feature and I do not like it.

The feature I am talking about is if you open the downloads panel and view the downloads list and right click on one of the downloaded files in list there is now an option to Delete. I accidentlly hit this and thought it was just deleting it from downloads panel. Nope it deletes it from computer permanently, not even to recycle bin. Click Delete its gone for good until download it again.

And this delete option is right above the option remove from history, which I use a lot.

So I want to know how to disable this delete option? Thanks

I cannot stay Signed In on Zoom's website (and I used to be able to). When I hover over the Information icon, I see a message that I have to enable Functional Cookies (see attached). I have cleared my cache and explicitly allowed Zoom, but no luck. I don't have this problem in other browsers.

I have Firefox set to reopen my tabs from the last session when it starts up.

However, I delete, open, and reuse/write over the address of many tabs, as anyone might, during a session.

When Firefox reopens my last session, it starts all over again as if no changes had occurred in the tabs during the last session, even though the browser has been open for hours or even days and, as I said, many tab changes have occurred.

This being frozen in time with the same startup tabs is time consuming and causes other problems, as all progress with work and things I'm researching is repeatedly lost an I must start over.

How can I get Firefox to open the tabs from the END of the last session and not the beginning?

(Note: Firefox used to open the tabs from the end of the last session with no problem, but at some point switched to opening tabs only from the beginning of the last session).

On Windows 10 with Fire Fox i like to use the right click to show the drop down menue 1 Save image 2 save page to pocket - and 3 - select all ,. And the next one in the drop down list is Take A Screen Shot .And this is what is not working for me anymore . Changed the Exrtension .screen.shot .dowmload ----to false with no change still the Take Screen Shot fails to work Thank you . Trevor

like a dick i tried to sort it out myself and i no nothing aboout computers i deleted loads of stuff thinking its old i dont need it from downloads...i was having truble with vids not playing just the spin thing or it does start but slow or judery ... now mozilla cant update ...as theres nothing there

It crashed with update and a troubleshooting mode of Firefox to have already performed that firefox crashed at the time of start and did not open out. I have the volume control all the way up. I turn the volume control on videos all the way up. I have just updated Firefox. The sound is too low. Is there an add-on? It used to be OK, not now.

I want to be able to open any links I choose in new tabs/windows, either with MMB or context menu. Many sites use JavaScript to thwart this - only allowing the link to open in the same tab. aboutconfig settings make no difference for these sites. Disabling JavaScript also fails as inevitably the offending website then won’t work at all. I have not been able to find an add-on which achieves my aim either.

It’s particularly annoying when there are a large number of links and I want to open all of them in new tabs. The only way I have found is to copy the URL of the offending page into a number of new tabs and then click the links in each tab.

I recently accessed Firefox Monitor. Living in Australia we had a large Data Breach from Optus (Phone carrier) in Sept last year. Yet it was not litsed in your list. Please advise

Does anyone out there know of a replacement for the Tab Groups replacement app? I have not updated Firefox past the v.55 only because I don't think it would work w/ any newer versions. I have found this to be the very best app I have ever used as I need to do a lot of research online and need something that will show all the windows and tabs on one page so I can easily go back and forth to a particular group quickly. Without this, I would have to spend hours finding the info and would only have one window in which to work. Ideally, a replacement would be able to use all the window/tab info I now have. Is there some way I could use this in some sort of legacy mode? I have several legacy apps, but can't readily recall how to do so. I think I tried this w/ the Tab Groups app and it didn't work, but am not certain. Suggestions much appreciated! Thanks, Wolfgang

I do not have any mobile device to sync with Firefox. HOWEVER, I would like to sync with Outlook.com from Microsoft. Centurylink my ISP provider was off-line for quite a while so they could create a better email program and when they finally came back online, last week, there were a list of things in computer language that I am supposed to do but do not understand. Like you, whenever I want to ask a question I have to send it via email then the response is the same thing listed in their instructions, NO HELP at all. Now, on a daily basis, I am receiving emails from Microsoft Outlook stating "Please update your credentials for the account Rhonda89@q.com." "It looks like we don't have permission to get email for Rhonda89@q.com."

The daily emails from Microsoft Outlook started on October 24, 2022, about the time Centurylink Email came back on line, I think. They did not send any messages advising us of this. I happened to find the information when I looked for it online.

I am still attempting to reach someone at Centurylink for help...lol

In the meantime, is there anything you can do to assist in this endeavour.

how can i change text color for downloaded themes  ? as the photo this recommended theme wold be better if i can change colors of the text on tabs.. couldn't find a recommended extensions to do this job

I set up 4ows of shortcuts on the home page. Almost ever shortcut had an icon. Now all of the icons are gone except for youtube, ebay and amazon. Not sure what happened to the rest of the icons. Has this happened to anyone else?

Firefox fully updated for fully updated Windows 10 21H2 on HP Envy, 16 GB ram, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz. Only trouble known is that suddenly FF would not operate the Ancestry.com properly after years of everything operating just fine there. Finally swapped browsers to Chrome. That works 100% ok. My problem is that I want to use Firefox not Chrome.
