Because the economy, inflation, and lower incomes are still a major problem, many users like myself need to continue using old computers that can only run Windows 7. So we need Firefox ESR 115 to continue being supported with updates for at least a couple more years.

So, as has been announced, FireFox 115 ESR will get updates until septempber 2025. This deadline has been extended multiple times. What factors are being taken in consideration when deciding whether to extend support again? With server 2008 updates you can get windows 7 up to date until 2026, sort of. Ending support in september would still be sad, because people too stubborn or not willing to upgrade probably still wont when support of firefox ends. I am a firefox on windows 7 user myself too, and it would be sad if they dropped support. Ill have to use a backported fork by the community

So thats my question, what factors matter in terms of extending 115 esr support again?

I am trying to upload a document on the Supreme Court portal (UK) but it won't work I am told because my browser has to allow pop ups and cookies. Where can I get Firefox to so allow?

I copied my home page from my old installation to another (new computer) - yadda.htm

I found out that the bookmarks toolbar is Installation Specific (boo) and that the export/import process on Firefox for the toolbar (according to Google) is hidden, convoluted. and a complete enigma (to me - can't be easy for anybody, really)

Could you please tell me how I can add to my new bookmarks toolbar from my old browser/installation without having to recreate them from scratch at my new installation?

Whenever I try to access Gemini at gemini.google.com, I keep getting a plain white screen with faded, almost hard to see elements that don't do anything even when typing in the input field. (see attachment 1)

I can access Gemini at Google AI Studio (https://aistudio.google.com/) but the UI is also broken on that site, with wide fonts that overlap each other, making text hard to read (see attachment 2).

Firefox version used: 115.28.0esr (64-bit) OS: Windows 7 64-bit

thank you for your time & expertise:) Can you please help me understand what would happen if firefox stops supporting windows 7 users. Will i still be able to use the browser - just with less security? I will probably have to give up using a computer if I cant continue with Windows 7 so I'd even be prepared to pay an annual fee to keep the support going. I have restored my homepage to Firefox many times, but every time I restart Firefox, it changes back to Google. I even have my search engine set to DuckDuckGo, but it keeps Google as my search engine! I've emptied my cache and data too. How can I stop Google from hijacking my homepage? Thanks, Wally.
