Hello, I use Windows 7 with a Gateway computer. On the "new tab" page I pin sites, but, they are removed sooner or later for new sites. When I pin a site , I expect it to remain . So, even if I do not visit a site for a long time, is there a way to keep my pinned sites from being displaced ? Also, instructions say, "to show more or fewer top sites" to hover until the edit link appears. I try hovering all over but can not get the edit link to appear. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you

In the last 2 weeks I have had issues with 3 different websites. In all 3 cases I was filling in an online form. In the first 2 I filled the form in and clicked submit and was ejected. In today's case I could see that 2 lines of text were overlapped. I could find no way to click the underlying yes/no circles. I have attached a screenshot of what I get. After several attempts with suggestions from support, I tried Microsoft Edge and had no issues. Therefore, I concluded that the fault was not in the websites. I have tried changing font size with no improvement. Help!!

This just started occurring on my PC when I use Firefox: why is the background of the address bar orange/yellow with diagonal stripes and there is a robot at the start of the web address? I'm concerned it may be a virus or the web browser is being remotely monitored.

Please refer to the attached image. Thank you,

firefox has deleted most of about 150 bookmarks, and one of the three bookmark folders. I check the troubleshooting site and it said that the bookmarks could be recovered from a backup using the RESTORE function, but this has not worked. Any advice on how I can recover the bookmarks? I used Firefox 87.0 and Windows 7 on a desktop.

Thanks -- Steve

Okay, enough of my rhetorical questions, here is my real question:

With my install of 78.8.0, my tabs moved above the location bar again. How do I get them back to below?

Hello, I have my Firefox bookmarks separated by folders according to the theme. Every time I use the 'search bookmarks' option, firefox shows me all the hypotheses based on my search but hides the folders and doesn’t show me in which folder the bookmark I looked for is located. This way, I always have to do a search because I still don't know what folder it is in unless I remember it again or browse through all the folders until I find it. Is there any way to do this? Thank you.

Why don't all websites automatically resize to fit the firefox window (when 'normal' size). Several updates ago - webpages stopped 'resizing'. Webpages that formally displayed fine, are now too large (the indicator shows 100%, but I must reduce it to 80% to display as it did before). I have - and have always had - my bookmarks sidebar 'open' and websites resized depending on the amount of space available. This no longer happens. Reducing or enlarging the bookmarks sidebar only 'slides' the webpage R or L to view the additional info (like using the scrollbar on the bottom). This only happens on some websites (e.g. Home depot) - but other resize as normal (e.g. Motley Fool). Is this a Firefox issue or the website developer issue?

thanks

Please bring back the ability to add notes below each bookmark.

I asked this question in previous years, but now ESR has become incompatible with too many applications. I'm using Firefox 60.9.0 ESR with the bookmark notes feature for web site security prompts but:

  • Most banks do not support release 60 ESR
  • The Honey pricing app stays blank with ESR
  • Camel Camel Camel does not work with ESR

I now have to use Microsoft Edge to for these connections and then go back to Mozilla if I get asked a specific security question. There has to be a way to stay with Firefox, but the market is forcing me back to Microsoft Edge.

Please bring back the Firefox bookmark Notes field.

This is a difference I noticed when changed from Chrome to Firefox. When I search something in the search bar, and instead of pressing enter I middle-click on a predicted text, it automatically switches to that new tab, deleting all my text when I go back to the initial tab. Here is something similar to my problem: https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/915873#question-reply Is there a way to fix this? You can try for yourself and see the difference between Firefox and Chrome. I want to open multiple tabs without having to retype the question again.

So, having been with Firefox since the end of Netscape Navigator... I have had one major irritation that is as follows:

Why is it not possible to simply save a cookie somewhere in a little piggy vault, and forgoing any other setting, and will save that cookie (specifically my banking cookies).

And be able to clear other data when closing the browser without losing said cookie(s)

no need for response, I am not interested in reading another, well, check a, but not b, or if you use r, then uncheck x.... I am not out to recreate a bomb, just wanted to simply get into my bank
