I opened Firefox this morning and all of my pinned shortcuts have disappeared. Shortcuts are enabled in the settings. I checked the browser.newtabpage.pinned pref on the about:config and all of my pinned shortcuts are not there

You just made an update that added a bunch of random garbage to the new tab page under a "stories" widget that I neither want or need. You included a setting that allegedly turns it off, except that it keeps turning itself back on no matter how many times I turn it off or where I access the setting from. One of the major reasons I switched to Firefox was because it didn't push things at me, like trying to decide which news stories were important for me to see the way Windows and Google are constantly doing. Firefox isn't a news source, it doesn't employ journalists, it's a browser. All I want it to do is open up websites and save bookmarks and if you're going to keep adding all this extra garbage cluttering up my new tab page, I'm going to use another browser that doesn't.

I click on the website page and scan through things then close that website. Then I get on the search engine page an icon of that website I just looked through added onto the search page as an icon. I do not want this. I know how to add websites I frequently visit so its not that. It must be a setting somewhere in my Firefox settings. How do I switch this off?

There are a lot of news sources on the home page which require registration or have a political bent that I do not want to see. How do I remove a source such as CNN or The Guardian from displaying. I do not want to see their content ever.

You can block types of contact you follow on the tab content page but you cannot block specific sources of that content. For example, I don't want to see any content from NBC, so how can I block that source?

Hello. When I open a new tab page, all 6 panels below keep scrolling right like their not loading correctly. I have tried everything to make this go away since it is very distracting. Any ideas of how to fix?

On my Firefox Home Page, I selected two rows of PINNED shortcuts. Each time I open a webpage that webpage is added not only to the two selected rows of shortcuts, but "keeps" EVERY webpage selected after filling the two selected shortcut rows. It is not only annoying and inconvenient, but s l o w s work time to a crawl around these shortcuts ... few, if any, are helpful. If I want to re-entry an UNPINNED shortcuts, I go to history and select the one I want. WHEN is Fire Fox to solve this seemingly simple but annoying problem?

Even when I open a new tab in Firefox, the focus remains on the address bar. I'd like to know how to fix this. When I open a new tab, the address bar gets the focus, which I find inconvenient. Is there a way or setting to prevent the address bar from getting the focus and instead focus on the search box in the middle? I've searched online and tried the "settings in about:config" suggested in the search results, but it didn't solve the problem. Is it impossible? Firefox 153.0.3 64it

Hi after the 152.0.6 Firefox update I cannot get rid of the round Firefox logo on my home screen and new tabs. I have this toggled off in settings and toggled false in about:config. Why aren't these updates tested before release to the public
