Lost my original FF profile when I created a new 2nd profile. Opened FF. clicked profile icon. in drop down menu, I clicked on " create new profile". Set color, skipped most of the rest,then "set default browser to Firefox" using the button in FF dialog box, NOt Windows settings. Found and clicked on box " choose profile at startup". CLosed all instances of FF. Opened FF, box saying choose profile does not show my original profile, only the new one.

Help? I need to get back to my original profile, and keep the new one as choice at startup. How do I do this?

Whenever I turn the free 50GN Firefox VPN on, regardless of the set VPN location, my connection immediately cuts. I've tried refreshing Firefox, raising and lowering my security and DNS over HTTPs settings, clearing DNS cache, and updating Firefox, but none of these attempts fixed it. I can tell its the VPN since everything will load again after I turn it off.

When I had my DNS over HTTPs set to default, it used to say I was connected to cloudflare, but after trying the VPN with it set to off or custom, it now says "DNS over HTTPs is off" when set to default. When I turned on the VPN while the default setting was on, it gave me an error message regarding cloudflare that I can't remember or recreate now that the "DNS over HTTPs is off" at all times. It will only say I'm using cloudflare on the custom setting.

I had a similar issue to this issue a couple months ago, but I resolved it by putting my security settings to default. This time, it seems to be a bit more complex than that.

I’d like to report a serious issue with Firefox lately. The browser has been performing very poorly and frequently becomes “Not Responding.” In many cases, websites fail to load properly or get stuck indefinitely, even though my internet connection is working normally.

I’m experiencing these issues on the latest version of Windows 11 with the latest version of Firefox. This has become quite frustrating and significantly affects my daily browsing experience.

I hope the Firefox team can investigate these stability and website-loading issues and provide a fix soon. Firefox used to be much more reliable, but recently the overall experience has been very disappointing.

My Youtube video stutters every 6-10 seconds. When I turn off my HW acc off, this issue happened. Turning the HW acc on solve it, but the thing is if I have my HW acc on another problem came up, which is my Firefox will starts to blink. Anyone has a solution for this?

The recent changes to the right-click menu on YouTube are a backward step. The menu is now cluttered with options I don't use, while the useful “Open in New Window” option has disappeared. I regularly use this function and having to use Shift+click instead is unnecessarily inconvenient. Please consider restoring “Open in New Window” to the context menu. Not every new feature is an improvement, and sometimes the simple, familiar options are the ones users actually want.

when i use Chrome or edge to access yahoo email I can write & edit. when using Firefox browser; I cannot write & edit/highlight/change text colours etc before sending. tried deleteing & re-installing Firefox . please help. Driving me crazy rsvp

I am trying to restore my firefox bookmarks and passwords from a back up I saved. I am signed into firefox in my browser, I go to restore back up and firefox restars and my bookmarks appearm but I'm signed out of firefox. When I sign back in, my profiles and bookmarks disappear?

My browser window (not my private browser window, however, is starting to show text in web pages as a reverse Hebrew font. I can't figure out why. Translations are turned off and it happens on a lot of different sites. There is a screenshot attached. How can I make it stop!!!

After the last update, shortcuts disappeared from the Home screen. I tried adding them manually, but nothing happened.

After a update 154.0.1 and 155.0.1, 64 byt Firefox dod not keep the open tabs once started, but the bookmarks. After searching in Firefox help, neither I could not find a previous bakup folder, before the update data, so I cannot restore the history it manually, so I do not know what to do. FF 154.0 will not create a backup file. Trying to create an initial backup to my D: drive (2 TB Samsung 990 Pro M.2 Gen 4 NVMe SSD with 86% free space). WIN Pro 25H2 Operating system, Intel Core i7-14700K CPU; 64 GB DDR5 - 5600 MHz Corsair Vengeance DRAM.

No matter what I do I can't get the initial backup to complete even though the D:/Restore Firefox folder was created. I consistently get this message, “Hmm, there was a problem with the backup. Please try again in a few minutes.” The message result of browser.backup.backup-debug-info is:

This issue only pertains to the Chinese language and is not a website problem. In the startup settings, when the option to open previous windows and tabs is enabled, after keeping several web pages and re-entering the browser, Firefox will attempt to open the previous tabs. However, if a new tab is selected at this time, the search bar should normally display 'Use Baidu to search, or enter a URL,' but in reality, the characters for 'Baidu' appear as garbled text. This bug consistently occurs in this version. This issue only appeared after I automatically updated Firefox a few days ago; I have never encountered this problem before. Weathersa.co.za recently launched a new website. There is a function to select towns for a forecast. The select function is not working on Firefox Windows. It seems that Privacy Badger may have issues with the site on Windows. If I turn all ad and track blockers off the site works correctly on Firefox Android. I cannot get it to work properly on Windows. Has anyone else has this problem, Suggestions to resolve this please

Please create a new version of the browser app that supports the ability to use FileSystemAPI on directories, this is essential for working with a BeatBuddy project and SD cards that are saved on my computer using the online editor. Chrome already does this.

When searching for any type of URL or page on Firefox, unexpected things have been occurring. The most common action is that the Recent Browsing page opens up instead of the page I was seeking. I can get to that page by clicking the tab, but it obviously should not be happening. Sometimes, I only see a completely blank page in white or gray. Again, I can get to the page by clicking the tab. A momentary blink occurs regularly when going to a new page.

I have cleaned up any unused or unimportant extensions and add-ons, since that was suggested as one cause. So far I have not taken a suggestion to clear all cookies and cache because of all the beneficial browsing that deletes. I have also not totally deleted the Firefox app because I am not sure a reinstall of all of my bookmarks, the homescreen with my 32 preset URLs, etc. will come back.

So I am looking for advice on what steps I should take to resolve this, in order of first taking the least destructive and problematic actions. Thanks, Joe

I purchased a new computer and I saved all my bookmarks from my old computer, as directed in the instructions into a html file and put it on a flash drive. When I go thru the suggested process to import these files from the flash drive, they do not go into the main 'bookmarks toolbar folder in the bookmarks drop down, they install as a separate file in the last section at the bottom as a separate file. Every time I attempt to import the html file of old bookmarks, it goes in the 4th section of the bookmarks drop down as a new folder called ' bookmarks toolbar'. Example: if I import the html file 10 times I then have 10 new 'bookmarks toolbar' folders in the 4th section. As I had before... for several years... I want all my book marks in the drop down tab in the 3rd section (see attachment) 'bookmarks toolbar' which sits just above the 'other bookmarks' file... not in a folder below in the 4th section. Help...
