Captcha not loading

I'm trying to log in to jjwxc.net, which requires a captcha to do so, but not only is the whole site's formatting a mess, if I didn't know the captcha existed I wouldn't even know it hadn't loaded, because there's not even a failed load icon. Trying to log in without the captcha just results in reloading the log in page. Below are screenshots of the site as it should appear, on chrome, and as it does appear on firefox. (I'm also using a dark mode extension, which I have checked has no effect on this matter)

None of the images are loaded either, but I can get the site running in the mobile browser. In fact, when I first logged into the site on the mobile browser the captcha came up, and I was also somehow able to log back in on mobile despite the captcha not appearing since. I won't question the magic and just thank my luck. However, as you can see, the site is in chinese, which I unfortunately do not speak, and the mobile browser does not support in browser translation extensions like TWP.

After logging in on the mobile browser the site then loaded properly, so I have some hope that the desktop browser may do the same if I can log in (I don't know why that would work, but I can only say what I see). I don't know why the mobile version would load the site better than the desktop version either, but here we are.

The captcha itself seems to be called shumei captcha in the code (view-source:https://my.jjwxc.net/login.php?action=login&referer=%2F%2Fmy.jjwxc.net%2Fonebook_vip.php%3Fnovelid%3D5157485%26chapterid%3D21)

I tried turning enhanced tracking protection on and off, clearing cookies and cache data, and disabling all extensions, non of which made any difference. Is there anything I'm missing that could fix the captcha?

¬ In case anyone's wondering why I don't just use chrome since it obviously loads the site fine, the site seems to have made some changes to the security on the paid chapters which are apparently incompatible with chrome, and brings up a message that the user's browser is outdated and too slow, the irony of which is not lost on me considering that out of chrome, edge and firefox, chrome is the only one that reliably loads the site - yet the message explicitly recommends the user transfer to edge if using internet explorer. No offense, btw, Firefox has a great interface, I know it boasts security over speed, and I like the extensions and all, but I can't exactly rate it five star when it won't load the one site I really need it for. I want to like this browser, but I need it to work for me first.

I am running Firefox 107.0.1 (64 bit) on a Dell Inspiron i7 10th gen with 12 GB RAM. Windows Edition Windows 11 Home Version 22H2 Installed on ‎11/‎1/‎2022 OS build 22621.819 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22636.1000.0

Recently have had new issue with websites, like the NYTimes, which run live video embedded in the site. The entire screen will go black and cannot be retrieved. But the system is not down, I can toggle to another application, and then when I go back to the Firefox, I can "save" it by quickly selecting a different tab. If I wait a few seconds, however, the offending tab will crash again. The other symptom is that after this happens, the entire screen in any application seems to be unstable, with transient fuzziness of the fonts, just a for a few seconds, whenever the focus of the screen is moved or changed.

This problem does not occur in "Troubleshoot Mode", but I have gone through all the recommended step by step eliminations of possible plug ins, extensions, Norton, firewalls, refreshes, start up cache clearing, cookie clearing, to no avail. Cannot find discussion of this problem in Support. I do not experience the problem if I run the offending website in Edge. Any suggestions most appreciated, txs!

I am a WordPress website developer and I am trying out the Elementor page builder. When I edit a page in Firefox the Elementor app hangs on loading. Wheb I try to edit the same page in Chrome or Edge Elementor loads as expected. I confirmed this with a different website on a different theme. I performed all optimizations on https://happyaddons.com/fix-elementor-editor-not-loading-issue/and checked all system requirements on https://elementor.com/help/requirements/, but no avail. I cleared the Firefox cache, turned off protection for the site. But with the same settings and environment the pages do load Elementor in Edge and Chrome. Any ideas what else I can try to make this work in Firefox? I use all the newest versions of WordPress, themes, plugins, and the browsers Firefox, Edge and Chrome. Running Windows 11 on a brand new laptop.

Firefox has just started crashing on startup every time I try to open it out of the blue with no changes to anything in the browser. I've tried opening in troubleshooting mode, still crashes instantly. I've refreshed, revo uninstalled and cleaned everything firefox related off my system and reinstalled but still have the exact same issue with a fresh install.


I managed to get the crash log from the backed up folders when it reinstalled. Any suggestions?

I have 3 monitors on my Windows 11 PC set to extended mode. I would like to display Firefox across the 2 adjacent screens on the left (leaving the third screen on the right for other display). I want to run one web application, one tab, no other websites, etc in this Firefox displayed on the 2 screens. Of course that is easy to setup, but when I close Firefox (either using the X or exit button), Firefox initially reopens on both the original screens, but then reverts to the left screen only. Is there anyway to set Firefox to always open across the 2 monitors please? Thank you, Bruce

I've had this issue for a while; I'm don't know what's causing it, as it's a very vague error that can be 'missing extension' to 'true needs to be 0xFF instead of 1 for bool values'.

I grabbed the source, and built a copy, and was stepping through accessing a custom built chain; I got a different error, this time I got SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER. Which just means I didn't add the root cert to firefox(?) Yes, after adding the root, it connects just fine. Which lead me to think 'great next firefox it won't be an issue'... but wait, 107.0.1 release does have the error still; so, I checked out FIREFOX_107_0_1_RELEASE and built that. Again it worked....

So what can be the difference between building a debug release branch version and the released version of firefox that causes a difference interpreting certificates?

I have no issues with chrome or edge (although I did fix a issue with chrome that chrome stopped working, and I fixed 1 to 0xFF for a boolean setting in BASIC_USAGE extension, and then chrome was happy again.

https://bingodemos.com/ as it is currently configured fails. With SEC_ERROR_EXTENSION_VALUE_INVALID error I don't see a way to even see the cert chain, with the above unknown issuer, I can at least see the certificates with more information.

I am unable to log on to my Synology Diskstation 220+ using the Firefox browser. The device is accessed through my local IP address. I have no trouble using the Microsoft Edge browser. This problem has existed for several months and I cannot figure it out. On Firefox I have checked the ad blocker and disabled it. I tried clearing the cache. I would appreciate any ideas people could suggest. Thanks.

I am often frustrated to find that with some sites I can see the Save this login? prompt, and I click to save it, only to find later that the website name and password do get saved, but the username/account name is NOT saved.

I can see this saved login with a search by website name, and it will display this with the text "no username" in parentheses in the username field. And I can edit it to add the username manually, to make it more useful. This does not happen with all websites...

This has been true for a couple of years, so I don't know when I first saw this.

I see a few archived posts about this or similar problems but they are not too helpful. I prefer NOT to install add-ons to fix basic functions, or to download and run javascript to modify things that are not available as a user setting, to be lost when new versions come along.

Is this a Firefox bug?

Is there a way to correct this?

Firefox Info: Version 107.0.1 Build ID 20221128144904 OS Windows 11

Specs: i7 13700k 32GB DDR5 Ram GTX 1080ti

Basically, I'm dropping frames when I'm tabbed into a game, in my instance it's World of Warcraft, but it could be with other games too. I suspect it's something to do with Windows 11 as I didn't have any problems in Windows 10 with my older computer.

Some trouble shooting steps I've taken is I've disabled all extensions, ran the browser in troubleshooting mode, and finally done a Firefox refresh and I still have the same problem.

So I have my FireFox settings set to always be in private browsing mode and it hasn't caused me any issues with anything but Netflix. I've tried every solution that Netflix recommends for this error code, I tried changing the IndexedDB permissions in private browsing, I tried disabling DuckDuckGo and TotalAdBlocker extensions but so far the only thing I've found that fixes the problem is to open a non-private browsing window. Is there any way to get Netflix to work in a private browsing window so that my history won't be tracked??

I've attached a screenshot of the Netflix error screen if that helps.
