I'm a Chinese firefox user, so the following descriptions are translated and may not be so accurate. I have only one default profile in my Firefox account, and I have stored a large number of passwords and bookmarks in this default profile. For certain reasons, I signed out of this profile while retaining the local data such as passwords—meaning that, apart from not being logged in, my browser state remains exactly the same as before. Now I wish to sign back in to enable synchronization. I can see a "Sync and Save Data" button prompting me to log in. After clicking this button, I am asked to enter my username and password, but then I receive a message stating that I have reached the account limit for this profile, and that this profile was previously synced to another account. This is absurd, as I do not have another account, nor have I ever synced this profile to any so-called other account. As a result, I am unable to sign in on this current profile.

it can be useful if u create a system of syncing which actually works, why my passwords dont sync when i log in and also i had to put my exact same passwords 6 times before the stupid system recognized it was correct, the fuck is happening i had changed devices before and this never happened i dont know why now but im very upset

My internet connection is with Comcast, whom has told their customers that they will no longer be allowing email addresses with their company’s name. To this end I have been trying to move my old email accounts over from them, and I'm facing a lot of problems. However, since I was able to change the email in the Mozilla account today, I may be able to do it now. Also, please update my computer info to windows 11. Educated guesses below are correct.

I am logged into the same Firefox account on both my phone and desktop.

Sync is enabled and bookmarks are ticked.

My desktop bookmarks do not show up in my phones bookmarks, and nothing I bookmark on my phone shows up in my desktop bookmarks.

I remember there used to be a mobile bookmarks folder where these were stored, but that has disappeared from both my phone and desktop bookmark manager.

I have a lot of open tabs on my phone which I need to bookmark and organise, so I can't reinstall to test if that fixes it without losing them all.

I can see my phones open tabs on desktop through synced open tabs, so I'm definitely connected to the right account and clearly some stuff is syncing, just not bookmarks.

I have many computers that I put Firefox on, and had no problem getting my bookmarks on them as long as I sign in to my account. However, I just had my desktop redone (that previously had Firefox) and now, after I have downloaded Firefox, I cant get my bookmarks when I attempt to do the syncing. Please help

I changed the password of my Firefox account recently, which logged me out of my Firefox iOS app. When I'm prompted to scan the QR code to re-establish the pairing, nothing happens. When I choose to use email instead, I get "unexpected error". This happens every time I try to re-pair. Please help me sign in to Firefox iOS.

Three times now this year, I have been automatically signed out of my Firefox account on desktop with no cause. No updates or data clearing to cause it. Every time when I log back in despite having my Firefox synced to my mobile app, my bookmarks & passwords all break. Passwords deleted, bookmarks dysfunctional. I try syncing to restore them. Doesn't work. If I restore from backup, it fixes my bookmarks, but not my passwords.

After the second event like this, I changed my Mozilla password, but seeing as this just occurred a third time this year, that didn't stop it. I reiterate: I DID NOT SIGN MYSELF OUT. I DIDN'T DO DEVICE MAINTENANCE THAT WOULD HAVE SIGNED ME OUT. Sync SHOULD restore these but isn't.

I have been trying to clear out my bookmarks fro several days now and every single time they are restored. I have tried unsyncing my phone and computer and saving backups to try to force restore it to the cleaned up version but it always restores every single bookmark even to the original folder after I moved them around.

I used to be synced across two laptops and my iphone but no longer. I am signed in to my Firefox account on my Windows 10 laptop and on my iphone. The windows 10 laptop indicates that I am also signed in on my Windows 11 laptop, but when I run Firefox on my Windows 11 laptop, it indicates that I am signed out. When I attempt to sign in (on the Windows 11 machine), I get an "unexpected error" flag and I cannot sign in.

How can I fix this?

After the most recent update, my desktop version of Firefox keeps disconnection Sync so my passwords disappear. I also have an iPhone Firefox app doing Sync. The passwords reappear when I reconnect Sync on the workstation, but I want the desktop workstation to be the master and the passwords to always be available. How do fix it?

Im trying to sync my android to existing account on PC. Phone says my firefox login incorrect yet when I go to firefox settings , it shows my name and password that I used to try to log in with phone. I then tried the scan option, but when I phone up to pc screen to QR code, it just sits there. SO I think ill just change my password. I go to password change section and it sends me the code via email. I input the code and brings me to change password screen yet when i try to change it, it states the prepopulated old password is incorrect. I am logged into PC with this info so how is it incorrect?

I have two computers that I use and I have them setup the same. Both have Windows 11, both are the same model, HP. One computer has 260 passwords and the other has 253 passwords. Why aren't they the same. Same sign in name Ronald Cogan, same email, same password. But when I bring up the one computer it shows 260 passwords and when I move over to the other computer it show 260

I've exported my bookmarks as an HTML file on my old computer (Win 11 Firefox ver 149.0.2) using a USB drive and tried to upload the file to my new computer (Win 11 Firefox Ver 149.0.2.). Only a few dozen of hundreds of bookmarks transferred. Repeated tries simply add the same bookmarks to the menu.

I've tried sync. Both computers are signed in and are correctly listed in the connected services box. Syncing is ON and when I select the Sync Now button on either computer screen, the Sync Now switches very briefly to Syncing and then back to Sync Now. Sync has transferred no data from my old computer to my new computer.
