I can't figure out which topic to use for this but I can't submit it without one.

When I click on the star icon in the address bar the star icon is filled in, and existing bookmarks do show with the filled-in star icon and they work. But I no longer get a dropdown where I can assign a folder, edit, tag, or delete an existing bookmark, and the pages I've tried to bookmark don't show up in Recently Bookmarked so they haven't been added. I don't know if it has something to do with the toolbar?

Nothing I can find online helps. The places.sqlite file in my profile is not read-only, and I refreshed Firefox (stupidly, before I took a screenshot of the pinned shortcuts on my New Tabs page) and that made no difference. The only extension I use is UBlock Origin. Changing profiles did not help. This is on my personal laptop and no organization controls my settings.

I stay up to date on Windows 11 and Firefox updates. I do use a VPN but it never interfered with bookmarking functionality before. (I see Firefox offers a free one now but I've got a couple of years left on my paid subscription).

I asked the community but got no replies. (I did "reply" to add more information which no longer applies, and I can't seem to delete the "reply".)

I am trying to comprehend the VPN button on the toolbar. It clearly has an "x" to close the vpn icon, but instead it brings it up. What is the "x" close icon intending to close?

Also, while I understand it is a useful tool, I do not understand why VPN is auto-added to the toolbar. That should be an option for the user. For most people it is just adding noise, or a few extra clicks to hide. I like the way Brave does it, handling it similarly to private browsing. Is there a way to use it this way?

I was invited to get the free built-in Mozilla VPN. (This is actually the second time it popped up when I opened Firefox. The first time, I was busy, so I didn't have time to read about it.) This time I signed in to Mozilla and selected Version 149 (because the article said that's what was being rolled out now). In the toolbar, I don't see the prompt inviting me to set it up. Does that mean I'm not eligible? Also, I'm not even sure I can SEE the Firefox toolbar. I've been thinking about getting a VPN, so this time I jumped on the free offer for the built-in VPN. I also get hundred of spam emails and ads, so I thought it might help with that problem, too. Thanks.

Hi everytime I use the translate option it seems to flip my previous choice and selection...I live in Austria but speak only english...but i even get russian options and sometimes im on a german site and it asks to translate english to german....it makes no sense

Since new update the firefox logo is appearing on my home page and new tab pages, how do I remove it? I changed the setting to false and it still does not go away.

you offer since some days an integrated VPN. I tried several times to install it. I miss the VPN Icon in the toolbar. I also looked for the mentioned icon in the additional tools for the toolbar, icon not found. Do I have the wrong version of firefox? Whats wrong?

Thank you for the upgrades to Firefox which I apply. After doing so I seem to lose access to FaceBook and other applications and then have to go through the whole processs of verifying motor bikes, buses etc from pictures before I can access again. It also happens with other applications. This happens EVERY time after I do an upgrade - is there a setting that will not force this change every time please?

Now that this update is in place, my 80% screen size now has a scroll bar on the right.

My second row of shortcuts is partially cut off. 67% screen size shows all shortcuts, but they are tiny.

Why is there so much empty space appearing on the home page (above "Firefox" branding)? I found no option to minimize this space.

I have a Dell laptop (Inspiron 16), with the scale of the screen set at 125%.
