Can't enter text into body of post, ghosted (title allows me to type) on select sites (Kodi.tv). Changed to Chrome no issue. win10/64/FF 148

Strangeness... seem to be able to type post title, but not message body in all the forum threads. trying to post gives me an error and I am loggged in. Just re-installed Firefox.. no issues on other sites, the text body is ghosted... but not the title bar. At this point;  I'm locked out of messaging in the forum. (edited)

Installed Chrome and I'm back alive! Guess the new FFox is the issue? (edited)

I'm away at another location for a few months out of the year. The computer in the other location is almost identical to this one, done in a very simple manner, by using a backup and then reinstalling everything from previous computer to current, most of which is data.

The Firefox profile is copied over and then the version of the program from that other computer is copied, so the profile and program match. The last step is to disable each add-on individually, then to immediately enable them again. (Otherwise, the browser won't connect to the internet.)

I followed the same procedure today as every single time. But then I noticed the blank new tab add-on isn't working. And upon looking at the add-ons...none of the enabled ones are listed (or working). Only the disabled and recommended ones. I don't even know which were installed, and would have a hell of a time figuring out which ones are supposed to be there, and how they're set up.

Where did they go, and how can they be reinstated?

This has never happened before, and I've been doing this same thing for at least 3 years.

I am unable to recover the original profile files, and this is not me trying to recover that; they are just gone completely so, I can't bring that original profile back to fix this. I have refreshed, uninstalled, signed out, closed the tabs from my sync list, etc, but I can't get this to go away. I don't know what to do.

All of the sudden can't use Hotmail through Firefox I have tried clearing cache, making sure clocks are correct etc.

As mentioned, When google email account is open, opening another operative window, firefox automatically closes the email account. Why is this ? This looks to me as a possible bug or IE security program intervening to avoid cross connectivity and security violations between other opened windows. Correct ? This is annoying as an R&D engineer it is common to work with several opened windows. Any solutions or fixes ? rJ

If I am on a website that is still loading in Firefox and want to change to another URL, then Firefox does not stop loading the old page. Once I click the "X", then it loads the new URL webpage. Shouldn't it stop getting data from the old URL the instant I load a new URL?

I downloaded firefox 148.0 x64 (from your webpage) on my new windows 11 PC. After setting up for a barebone firefox. I set "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.search.useHandoffComponent" to FALSE to have searches NOT USE address line and that is when I get "Oops..." error. My setup always worked on my Win10 system, can you help?

My bookmarks changed on the URL's in over 30 different bookmarks, but the names of the bookmarks stayed the same. I lost a lot of very personal information. What did Firefox do? Not sure when this happened, since I've not used bookmarks for a while.
