I successfully deleted the new weather widget that appears at the top right of my Firefox homepage but the horizontal space at the top of my homepage remains. I followed all of the steps (3) to delete the weather widget but none of them also deleted the horizontal space. As a result, there is a wide white top "margin" that appears on my homepage, below which the customary Firefox graphic logo appears.

On my Firefox homepage, I have three rows of shortcuts that now appear lower on the homepage and a vertical scroll bar now appears on the right side of the homepage. Before the new weather widget appeared on my homepage, the three rows of shortcuts were vertically centered on the homepage, without the need for a vertical scroll bar to appear.

Either there is a way that the horizontal space at the top of my homepage can be deleted, or I will have to resort to creating a custom HTML webpage containing my shortcuts.

Please advise which solution will resolve this problem. Thank you very much for your time and feedback.

Hi - Recently when I was on either my desktop or laptop I saw a notification that the sidebar would be going away. I can't seem to find any information on that now though. Will the sidebar still be going away soon? I for one would like to say that I enjoy that feature and would like to see it stay an option on desktops/laptops. If it does go away, how do we access bookmarks and synced tabs? Is there anything I need to do ahead of it possibly going away? Thanks in advance for your help!

However, do you plan to keep the “Windows 98-style” stamp-like format of the dialog box that opens for much longer? In 2026, on 27-inch screens, it’s honestly very annoying—even if you can zoom in just a tiny bit, it’s a pointless step and not ergonomic at all! The recent update 149.0 introduced a new look to the error pages. Every single time the requested URL does not exist, a page's servers are down, or your internet is turned off, it shows an image of a fox biting a power plug. The image is no-connection.svg located in omni.ja (chrome://global/skin/illustrations/no-connection.svg). Such a location rooted in the files cannot be zapped by uBlock Origin. I tried to replace the image inside omni.ja using 7-zip, but it can't do so because the Mozilla Firefox folder is Read-Only, and keeps turning so despite me unchecking the Read-Only checkbox in properties. I tried looking for a variable in about:config, toggled svg.disabled from false to true, it didn't help. My goal is so that only text appears on error pages, and no images, like it was in the previous update. Ideally I would like to have the option to completely eliminate corporate artwork from my copy of Firefox. Help would be very much appreciated, because Firefox is my favourite browser by far

Since updating to version 150 (and 150.0.01) my title bar is missing. Sure, I CAN get it back with F11 (2 times) but it is annoying to have to do that every single time I start FF.

There is no longe an option (to checkmark or remove checkmark) in the right-click menu to show the title bar. (it used to be an option) I want the option to have it there permanently, or not. It should be up to me, not some dev somewhere that does not like it.

I use the Firefox Search bar a lot (the one that has a magnifying glass). The latest version of Firefox's Search bar seems different and the magnifying glass has been replaced by an icon of my default search engine. Although the old and new Search bar are very similar, the newer one has a larger font, and the search options on the drop down menu have a magnifying glass next to it. It also takes up more space on the browser (not as packed) which I don't like as much. Is there a way to revert to the previous version of the search bar? The first pic is the new search bar and the second is the older version.

The Firefox main screen has about 2" of space on 3 ides. The icons are so far down (the 4th side) that I cannot read the second line without moving the page up. Many of the web sites I load are off kilter, mostly NYT and Facebook games which always have to be adjusted to a place where they are on the screen correctly. I have spent several hours searching through forums, resetting , refreshing , changing zoom, you name it. I then repeated the process with Gemini, at which point it seemed I only Made the Google search bar smaller but by now I m not even sure.

I found on a browser search that setting icon means there are customizable features available. I updated to latest version of Firefox but have no idea what other features are available to customize. Too many setting options to go through every one. How do I find out what I need to do to get the settings icon to go away.

The firefox screen has shifted so that only two of my four lines of shortcuts appear on the screen. There is a larger than previous space between the ribbons at the top and the search bar that has appeared since I downloaded the newest firefox version. Before that, everything fit well on the screen.
