Hi there, my name is Alvimutmex. Every time a webpage loads with the Mozilla browser, a "not supported" message appears. Upon examining the settings, I found that Mozilla has to be updated. Would you kindly assist me with updating Mozilla? For example, I receive an error notification when I try to open (https://pdfmedicalbooks.com/).

I am very surprised and somewhat disappointed that the Password manager protection does not sync across devices. I refer to thread:"Firefox Primary Password is different on my 2 PC's" in the archived Q&A section.

I love the Password manager and this is my main source to keep track of the 1000's of passwords we have to have to operate nowadays and they are easily accessible. It was always my issue that I felt they were very vulnerable as I had not turned on the Password protection due to bad past experience with not properly understanding the feature at first and being locked out of all my passwords or so it felt. I have now re-established this option and feel more secure(maybe foolishly). But, I believe there is a serious security flaw in Mozilla. I can understand that you offer the option to have different password on a per device basis. However I feel the implementation of this is very dangerous and can inadvertently expose all my passwords without my consent.

When I opened my new computer, I did set-up Firefox as my primary browser and enabled Syncing data. I made the foolish assumption that Syncing my password would offer me the same protection as the one I have on my main PC. I was surprised not to be asked for my main password when opening the browser nor do I recall been asked to set-up one new one for the new machine.

If my profile says that I want my passwords to be protected, I would at minima force the same default on any new browser install and require either authorization and / or verification from the original or another previously registered device before sharing the passwords. Passwords should be protected by default as defined i my profile. Otherwise, if my Firefox account is compromised, I will automatically expose all my passwords to anyone.

I do not recall, because I do not install Firefox everyday, but on my Android device, I was not asked whether I wanted to protect my passwords or not. They were by default or so it felt. Yes, they do not use my main password, they rely on my bio-metric info. So, there is a basic layer of protection. Why not in Windows?

Your thoughts?

Accidentally closed browser with many multiple tabs open. Tried to restore history but option was grayed out. Tried several times but was not able to get back to the original browsing window with the multiple open tabs.

Would really appreciate help on this, if possible, as the many multiple tabs contained family history research that will be difficult to impossible to duplicate.

Thank you.

Why am I losing my open tabs. I have it set to open where left off.

This has happened about 3 times recently. It is a huge inconvenience as I have multiple windows with a lot of tabs open in each. It is too active and difficult to save them all as bookmarks. I thought if you were signed into your account, that would automatically remember what your open tabs were.

I think it has something to do with clearing history. A couple times that function seemed to stall. Like this time. This doesn't happen all the time though. I can clear data & history, have all my tabs sitting there, and they are restored when I go back in, as usual.

I am going to have to change browsers if this continues because I need all my working tabs, many which I will not even remember, to get back to manually.

I just turned sync on (was reluctant to do that as I don't know all the specifics how it works). My mobile phone open tabs did not wipe out as I feared probably because looks like I'm not signed in there. Might have lost everything there also. But does having sync turned on keep things stored in your account so it can't get wiped out?

I have about 99 entries saved at the present time in the Firefox Passwords Manager.

I would love to store these in different folders if possible--bill pay, medical, social networking, for instance.

Is such as feature available?

Thanks.

A related question.

I thought of getting a free password manager such as proton and move most of the password entries into it, leaving the most important ones under the Firefox Passwords Manager.

Proton asks for permission to access all my websites. I understand that this may be necessary in order to save passwords. However, this makes me nervous. If I give this permission, will they be able to access my financial data when I access my brokerage? Will ad blockers be able to access my financial data?

Thanks.

How to block the full screen function permanently at the same time that all menus are hidden, invisible, when you press the full screen button so that the video one gives a larger image without giving full screen. I have previously found a firefox program that could do that, but unfortunately I got it deleted.

Want to use the solution on a Win 10 PC, desktop PC and a screen of 1.5 m, i.e. 2 screens in one.

response to jonzn4SUSE, because on my desk top, it won't install, because my computer chip is too old, when I get to the point of clicking on finish, when clicking on finish, it disappears, supposedly this chip is a better chip than the one I need to install it, but it's older than the one which is the minimum needed to do the install, even took it to the repair shop, I had read that sometimes if an older version of waterfox is on a computer it won't install, by the time I got it back from the shop everything with waterfox was gone, including bookmarks etc., none it was saved, some of the things I could import from my other browsers, one thing I don't like about waterfox is there isn't any way to export those things to other browsers, even when going to firefox or any other browsers, when clicking on import from other browsers, waterfox isn't on the list, also on my laptop, has an intel chip, maybe older than the one on desk top, when 1st installed it, it worked, the next time I tried to use it it wouldn't open, don't use lap top very often, usually only when desk top is in the shop on desk top, even tried to install it in safe mode, after I got it back from the repair shop, is when I found out about the chip being too old Operating System       Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU       AMD Phenom II X4 955          Deneb 45nm Technology RAM       16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz (11-11-11-28) Motherboard       Gigabyte Technology Co. This is actually the second time I've had issues with Firefox with hardware acceleration enabled it's normally enabled by default when you install it I believe I've never checked it before but when I was playing the game listening to music it blue screened on me and I got a error code involving bit one memory and I did do a check with the Microsoft Windows diagnosis tool that's for checking memory problems and nothing actually came up I even did a command prompt sfc scannow now command to check and see if there's any problems and nothing came up either and I checked the dump file and apparently the dump file told me that it was Firefox that caused the blue screen of death to occur I think you guys may have maybe a corrupt file when it comes to your guys's hardware acceleration function being enabled it could have some issues with AMD I have a complete AMD system with a 5500 XT as well as a ryzen 3600 and 16 gigs of RAM and dual channel I'm not exactly sure what actually caused it but I just wanted to address it and give you guys some information if you if any users have encountered this issue too.
