Hello. How on earth I disable updates? I tried in about:config, but there - the updates come back. So how I disable uploads completely? The second question is: Why do you have so many updates? I don't wanna be the slave to your updates, I don't wanna be the slave to your updates so badly that I will risk all security and everything in my life just to get rid of them! Why? Why? How can I disable updates? I don't want you to touch my computer digitally ever again! Please advise. Otherwise, I am completely leaving Mozilla after 30+ years of usage. And turning to some completely other browser that is not based on google engine and doesn't need more than one update monthly, and if, that I am aiming that for long. I received a Mozilla Firefox (64) update notice going for version 132. When it didn't complete, I checked that my version is Firefox ESR115 (115.17.0), which operates with Windows 7-8.1. I have Windows 10, which matches with your version 132. So my question is how do I change/update my Firefox over to match up with Windows 10 and the Version 132 update?

Receiving the following error message:

Error: Platform version '129.0' is not compatible with minVersion >= 128.0.3 maxVersion <= 128.0.3

How do I resolve this?

I use Using Video Download Ultimate add on in Firefox. It works great on most websites, but it will not connect and download from "https://yeahmovies.to/home" or "https://ww5.cmovies.co/movies/". Will you rectify this, or teach a work around to me?

How do I stop these recurring update notices? Every 3 seconds. I'll update when I am ready as this current one does not affect me at all. For a while I fell for it, stopped what I was doing and did the ridiculous update, it still continues! I can move on to a different non-Mozilla browser if I have too. Return the option to not update and/or do it manually. FF127.0.2

My computer was on during the week-end and when I came back home I noticed we had a couple of power outages. Computer restarted automatically (Win 10 22h2) and when I launched Firefox, it started as brand new with all my addons gone and none of the previous session restored (I had 4 Firefox browsers opened with each 20+ tabs opened).

I have tried looking at C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles but found nothing of interest. Where is everything and how can I restore everything I had ?

I even tried Troubleshooting mode and downgrading to a former version of Firefox (126.0.1 64 bits).

Both the above have recently appeared on my old Dell Optiplex Desktop and are causing glitches and other problems (slowing down and sluggich performance). For instance, on my Google Search page, my contact list is being blocked by a panel connected with this new installation, and is losing me access to my Contacts. A new version of the "List All Tabs" appeared on my toolbar today, shown on the left and hovered over in the attached screenshot (ignore the Malwarebytes extension icon). The old icon for this button was a chevron with approximately the same functionality. I was able to remove the old icon, but I'm unable to find a way to remove this one. Here is what I've tried so far:

• Like the old one, the Customize Toolbar feature is unable to remove it since it is grayed out.
• For a while, I was able to remove the old icon by going to about:config and setting browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled to false. This solution does not work for the current and some recent versions of the button.
• I attempted to create a userChrome.css file (following all the steps according to this this website) and added the following string: #alltabs-button { display: none !important; }

None of these attempted fixes have removed the button following a browser restart. Is there a way to remove it? I have no need of a button that shows me what tabs I have open when I can simply look at my toolbar.

Since the last update (was executed today in my case 16-07-2024), firefox has been very slow and freezing and crashing. Also, somehow it is the only browser that can't handle yahoo finance new charts and keeps freezing....so many issues in a short span of time, please check. I have tried other browsers and things seem to work fine there, so, it is not my computer or OS.

Dunno if this is by design, but a lot of installers don't play well when installed from standard user account with elevated privieleges. Firefox installer on Windows 10, when ran from GUI or admin PowerShell, accesses AppData fodler under standard user account that started the elevated process. Thus, it's not possible to install it if admin account doesn't have access to user folder, as on my system it doesn't for security reasons.

It's a minor inconvenience to need to explicitly log into admin account and do it there. But as this is a disease among installers I'd rather have them play well with normal security.

You may disagree here, and I understand if you do. Just pointing it out.

You guys keep hijacking my browser and stopping all my work on a near weekly basis. Shutting down my ability to work on projects and stopping my browser from functioning in the middle of use. I can't even pay bills without you guys interrupting my browser with your bullcrap.

This is unacceptable. I've gone through great lengths trying to stop you from hijacking my browser. I installed a policy generator and followed the instructions to put a policy in. I uninstalled Firefox's background updater tool. I disabled automatic updates in the settings to the best of my ability.

I've gone through everything I can think of trying to stop your forced updates. Its unethical what Mozilla is doing to its users. I even tried to lock policies with admin only authorizations but firefox couldn't read the file anymore when I did that. I did confirm today that the policy file was still working, when Firefox ignored it and shut down my browser till I restarted it. I confirmed that Firefox is blatently ignoring policies.

I just checked and Background Maintnence was installed again when I didn't want it. You're now installing software against my will too? What the hell is going on.

I recently updated to v130. I'm having the same problem that so many others have, "Firefox already running, close Firefox". After updating to v130 I had to go to Task Manager and delete 19 Firefox running. It's only been a few days ago and I checked Task Manager today and deleted another 13. After updating to v130 many of my add-ons are showing up in the Menu Bar. I have used Add-ons Manager to drag and drop, but it doesn't work. I have specific bookmarks that should be in the "Bookmarks" section" but they are also showing up in the Menu Bar. I had to re-select my screen choice because it had disappeared. I use DuckDuckGo for my search engine and in the past I was able to choose a separate search bar, but that too has disappeared and I cannot seem to fix it in settings. So many problems after updates, but this one seems very bad. I use Windows 10 on my desktop PC
