While using Ubuntu 18.04.03 LTS and FF 71 When I go to www.Pluto.tv a free TV site and leave it running for about 40 minutes or more the message " a script on this page may be busy" this always happens both on Ubuntu and another Linux system. this problem does not occur on my Mac OS. the problem when left alone the CPU goes very high on the Linux system preventing any usefull usage of FF until it is closed and reopened.
The message that pops up suggests FF is interuppting something incorrectly. Anyone with a suggestion to stop this problem? Keeping in mind FF plays with no flawas for more than 40 minutes

I have a trouble with font rendering on one specific website - https://www.checkpoint.com.
Text on this site looks quite ugly (see font01.png).
But if I open "Web Developer" -> "Inspector" -> "Fonts" -> "All fonts on page", then I can see the text renderred correctly in the preview field (see font02.png).
So text uses "DIN WXX Regular" font, but I do not understand, why Firefox cannot render it on the web page in the same manner as in the Developer tools?
Any clue how to fix it?

We are developing a new website for a client. The client is seeing a strange issue when viewing the site in Firefox, where a thick dashed border appears around an image and column in the footer of the website. It happens when she clicks in the footer somehow. It seems inconsistent, and the client sent us 2 different screenshots where the border line looks different. (Screenshots attached.)
We haven't been able to re-create the issue on our end, even after testing on several machines and browsers. The client is using a Windows computer and is running the newest version of Firefox. She only sees the issue when using Firefox (it looks fine for her in Microsoft Edge). She has seen the issue on several different dates, and after disabling all her Firefox extensions.
Here is the link to the site: http://82a.de4.myftpupload.com/
Anyone seen something like this before, and have any idea what it is or how to fix it?

I have a WordPress Classifieds website, and users are unable to access sub categories for listing or placing adverts? This has happened in the recent past and then it corrected itself, and now it is happening again. We have done all the checks on the site to make sure it isn't the site, and have used other browsers - Chrome and Edge, to do the post adverts and we have not had any problems with those browsers.
We have also uninstalled the Firefox Browser from my pc, shut it down rebooted, and reinstalled the Firefox browser from the website, and the same issue happens. We have tried on another pc, with the same browser already installed, and with three of the users for my site, all using Firefox browser, and each of them have the same issue - they cannot post ads in the category selected as the sub category will not display. Have also notice in the menu bar, that there is something about content blocking?? But I cannot figure out what that means or why it would cause the issue we are having.
Can anyone assist with getting this sorted out please.
We have also noticed another problem with the browser. When you go to "options' there is a message displayed on the top of the page next to a search box, that says - "your organisation has disabled the ability to change some options" Have redownloaded as suggested, but it is still showing.
Have included screenshot of what is happening from the site using Firefox browser and it shows just the main category, so maybe that might assist in explaining the issue we are having with this browser?
Thanks all, hoping to get this issue sorted pretty quickly if possible. Cheers bcdoorz

The option 'allow pages to choose their own fonts' is checked.
When I go to about:config and set the option gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled to False, I can read the sites but (of course) all fonts are replaced with my fonts.
Is there another way to fix this, please?

I've been having issues with Firefox on Ubuntu 18.10 for a while now. For whatever reason, whenever I try to access maps.google.com it states that the website is unavailable, whereas that maps.google.ca redirects to ww1.google.ca which, in turn, redirects to mediadiscovery.net - which is a website blocked by my router's adblocker. When I use Chromium or Vivaldi, I don't have that same issue, the website is completely accessible; also, if I instead use www.google.com/maps then I actually reach Google Maps from Firefox. I've already tried clearing cookies and cache, as well as restarting Firefox fresh. I only have one extension enabled (GNOME Shell Integration) and 3 plugins (OpenH264, Widevine and Shockwave Flash).
Any help is much appreciated. Also, I got the troubleshooting information while running in Safe Mode, which had no impact on the behavior I previously described.

I am experiencing some troubles with Firefox Add-on webpages since, as I can estimate, version 60 onwards.
- Firefox Add-on webpages (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/) look wrong and I cannot download or install any extension.
- Also the Firefox Add-on tab (about:addons) looks weird and updating extensions fails.
- Trying to download an extension directly (such, for instance, https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/1347/clippings-220.127.116.11-fx.xpi?filehash=sha256%3A07b13f5ecfb2e4c960980faa7c8e4ef4a2ac7f9c458bf083c7bcb72efb674edf) renders a "Unable to connect" error.
- I can see Firefox Add-on pages correctly in Chrome but not in Vivaldi and Safari.
I have unsuccessfully tried the following suggested solutions:
- Refresh the page.
- Clear cookies and cache.
- Re-start Firefox with add-ons disabled.
- Refresh (reset) Firefox.
- Create a new profile.
- Disable hardware (acceleration) performance.
- Disable anti-virus.
- Disable firewall.
I have also tried to follow the suggestions in the following links without any success:
When I load the Firefox Add-ons main page the console outputs:
Content Security Policy: Directive ‘child-src’ has been deprecated. Please use directive ‘worker-src’ to control workers, or directive ‘frame-src’ to control frames respectively.
Content Security Policy: Couldn't process unknown directive 'prefetch-src'

None of the "sha512" hashes in the integrity attribute match the content of the subresource.
So I think that there may be a problem with CSP or with CORS. I have managed to disable CORS but does not do the trick. I can find a way of disable CSP.
I am running:
Name: Firefox Version: 65.0.1 Build ID: 20190211233335 Update Channel: release User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0 OS: Darwin 17.7.0
Thanks a lot for your attention and time.

Hello, there is a https:// setting that is destroying my charity project and (since my project is about creating funds for many charities), it's affection many other charities as well.
I’ve got a website called Doelshop.nl which raises free donations for charities. This is done through affiliate marketing, someone buys something through my website (I’m just linking through) and 75% of the commission goes to the charity that the buyer chooses. The buyer doesn’t pay anything extra.
PROBLEM with Firefox/Google Chrome
Many charities have applied (because they can get free donations through their users who are already shopping online), recently we have implemented in our system a function where each project can make their own subdomain.
This means, if you have a charity called ABC, you can create ABC.doelshop.nl and automatically you have selected the ABC charity. Very handy for charities, because it’s easy promotion.
Now here’s the problem, we have bought a SSL wildcard certificate to establish https:// connection for all these subdomains.
BUT, some are typing into their URL boxes: www.abc.doelshop.nl and this CANNOT be certified. Technically it can if we manually insert every subdomain into multiple certificates, which would cost us thousands of dollars. Also our subdomains are not set, new ones are being created all the time.
Both Firefox and Google Chrome now always give an error message when people type in their URL address with ‘www.’. People cannot even reach the website, it gives un unsafe warning and shoppers won’t donate for free to their charity.
We have redirected the ‘www.’ to ‘without www.’ but this doesn’t help.
Is there any way where you could help, for example by listing these sub-subdomains as safe? I can give you any kind of openness to prove there is nothing scammy going on.
I’m willing to change these domain setups towards Doelshop.nl/abc instead of abc.doelshop.nl but it takes a while. If you could list it as a safe connection in the meantime that would also mean a lot!

I'm using Firefox 65.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Home (1809) OS build 17763.292. When I open Firefox on full-screen on my laptop screen, there's a strip at the bottom of the screen, hiding the bottom of the website page I'm on. The strip is like a screen shot from a previous website I might have visited. This doesn't happen if I'm not in full-screen mode, and strangely it doesn't happen if I drag the same Firefox window onto my external monitor (HDMI connected, 1080p, 24 inch). The phenomenon occurs in Private mode as well. Anyone knows anything about this bug? Is there a fix?

Since the beginning of January I have been unable to use - google maps:
-when searching a place, it doesn't show it with an arrow and warp to it, like it is supposed to -planning routes doesn't show a blue line towards the destination, like it is supposed to - using the menu button doesnt respond, it simply does nothing, no error, no refresh, nothing.
-When i was logged in (not anymore) the buttons on the site wouldn't show, just empty spaces with the backgrounds lighting up when hovering above the supposed location. I had to use the outdated html-only version, which worked. -The account buttons in the top-right corner didn't respond (like with maps)
-Some ads do not display correctly (the ads on the side of the page, above the recommended videos and the ads that are banners under videos, image included), merely showing the name and title of the ad with no background. (This made me suspect either the CSS doesnt work (maybe some ads use css?) or there is an error with the server, since firefox merely shows the title/head of the picture.
Google in general:
-I cannot log in to google, the button that says "Next" does not respond, like with maps and gmail.
Other sites: -Some show the "Please disable adblocker" message, which is weird since i have no adblocker active.
Things I have tried so far: -Booting windows in Safe mode -Booting Firefox in safe mode -Checking Pc for malware(using antivirus and checking task manager for abnormalities) -Checking Firewall for abnormalities -Refreshing and deleting Cache -Reinstalling Firefox -Trying other browsers (even steam ingame launcer) -making sure extensions are disabled
Pc specs (drivers are updated as far as i know)
-Windows 10 -Intel core i7 7700k -Nvidia geforce gtx 980 -2X8Gb DDR4 3000mhz corsair vengeace RAM -Asus Z270-a Prime
I havent had these issues before and windows was completely reinstalled in November 2018 (too clogged up with useless, onetime software and too many unnecessary games),
Please help, my pc has become almost useless without gmail and maps and I would hate it to have to reinstall windows again

I've been visiting "9gag" since it came out as a site. From yesterday I can't get to it from my Firefox browser. I thought it was an issue with the site, but the App was fine. So I asked a bunch of friends if they have this issue, none of them had the same problem. What happens is that when I want to go into the site, it starts loading, but the page that I'm on or if I search it out from Google just blinks once and stays the same. The page never changes and nothing happens (no error, no loading icon, no other messages). Even from a private window it doesn't load up.

Hello all, my name is Zack Lloyd. and I use a Macbook Pro laptop, using Firefox 64, and I am not allowed to visit any AutoZone websites for some reason.... Every time I click on any Google search results that are from AutoZone, or if I type autozone into the search bar, I am taken to the attached error page?? Has my IP been blocked by AutoZone, for some reason?? Am I never allowed to even visit one of their websites again, or is something wrong Please?? I have already gone into the browser setting menu, and disabled Proxy, but I am still banned from AutoZone websites, and am hoping someone can explain this to me.... Thanks in advance!!

Hi Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center site home page is secure (https://) but when I click on an inside page (resources) I get an invalid certificate warning "The site attempts to identify itself with invalid information". Doesn't matter whether I use Chrome or Firefox I still get the same message.
I tried to access this site a few weeks ago and got the same thing. At that time I changed my computer clock but it didn't make any difference. I viewed the certificate and the dates are valid, apart from that I can't tell much. I will try to upload a screenshot.
I just want to access the online resources for Spanish. I have no intention of giving away my bank account details so I wonder if I can make an exception and consult the site anyway.
If anyone can give any advice I would be really grateful as I don't want to get a virus etc.
