image of problem Some, but not all, pages browsed throw up a "hamburger" menu, top left of the window. (the link above should link you to a screenshot taken this morning in Firefox 142.0.1 (64) running on Win11.)
The menu button floats eternally over the text in that top-left corner. This irritates me because I read text, and am frustrated by the browser covering readable text.
I can't remember ever (20+ years) needing the Table Of Contents of a web page. I use Mozilla Firefox's excellent Edit, Find if I want to jump directly to a key word.
Anyone who can suggest a perpetual dismissal of this menu button will earn my lifelong admiration!
I can deal with Settings, About:Config, and even RegEdit. Thanks, Chris

I maintain an open tab on my Blogger account, but that SEEMS to cause freeze-up on all other tabs. Hello everyone, I manage a website, which focuses on mobile phone prices and SIM package information in Bangladesh. I’ve noticed that the site loads noticeably slower in Firefox than in Chrome, especially on pages with large images (like smartphone price lists). I’ve already optimized the images using WebP and enabled LiteSpeed caching on my server. Are there any Firefox-specific performance recommendations I should try (for example, about image lazy loading or compression settings)? Any advice from developers who’ve optimized for Firefox performance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Websites like Medicare.gov give message like "We can't process your request at this time." This happens with increasing frequency on pages I know are valid and secure. MS Edge opens them with no problem.
Another example - my bank web site. Firefox triggers a whole series of confirmation tests from them but Edge gets in with just ID and password.
I am using a VPN from Malwarebytes. Windows 11 is the OS. Latest version of Firefox is installed (144.0.2 (64-bit))
I have been a long time Firefox user, but am starting to drift away to Edge because it connects to more web sites with less hassle.
What are my options?

As per the title...
If I access "mail.yahoo.com" (specifically the site in the screenshot) at all in a Firefox session, that session is no longer able to play videos, i.e. Youtube, Tiktok, or any other streaming videos.
The videos "break" in that the player loads, but the content does not load, and the player is stuck endlessly with the loading circle animation.
Video previews also don't play when mousing over the thumbnails.
This is solved only by restarting Firefox, i.e. in a totally new session. It cannot be circumvented by opening a Private Browsing session, or new window, or closing the Yahoo Mail tab.
This bug is reproducible in a new profile: i.e. I went to about:profiles, loaded a new profile and opened browser in that new profile, went to mail.yahoo.com in one tab, opened youtube.com in another tab, and none of the videos (or ads) played in that youtube tab.
This bug is reproducible in troubleshoot mode.
This bug does not occur in a different browser, e.g. Brave.
This bug only seems to have happened recently, possibly with one of the recent updates. Edit: I rolled back to 143.0.4 and it still occurs.

I am a pensioner in te UK. Due to restricted mobility I spend a lot of time using Firefox to access many web sites. This normally works perfectly. Today I tried to access the web site of national chain store specialising in outdoor clothing and equipment because I need a new showerproof jacket. I have never used that site before, yet Firefox reported Error 403 : Forbidden. Have you people never been told tat error messages are supposed to be useful? What is Forbidden. Why when it has not happemed before?
The web site is https://www.millets.co.uk/
I have a web site so I have other browsers just for checking for layout problems.
I tried Chromium, same error but the message said You are not authorised to access this site. Presumably that is what your incompetent message should have said. But why should a pensioner trying to buy something from a chain store ever need any sort of authorisation?
I tried Opera. Connected me no problem!
I tried Edge. Connected me no problem.
Clearly somebody somewhere is an incompetent idiot, but it isn't me. So who is it? If it is yourselves then please do something to fix this.

I installed Firefox yesterday, and everything was fine for a day. Today, when I play a YouTube video, the entire page freezes - I can't pause it, select text, or do anything. The page starts responding after about 10 seconds from last interaction.
Compared to Chrome, I can play 20 YouTube videos at once and everything works fine.
The problem only occurs on YouTube. Sites like CDA and Jellyfin work fine.

On my other Laptop I experience weird behavior since 1st of October. Only on FF Desktop I couldn´t zoom on Google Maps. The mousepad gesture moving your fingers apart and closer together to zoom in and out only increased the zoom of the page with the searchfield, all the buttons and so on. I could repeat the behavior with FF Nightly. On other browsers it worked.
When trying to report it, I was send into an endless loop while trying to post a question.

I have contacted Microsoft. After testing the link/page loads in Edge, Chome (with and without addins same in ff) and Brave. But does not load in FF (with addon's disabled) nor in Private browsing FF (no addins obviously) they said to reach out to FireFox for support. See below for email exchange: FROM MS (most recent reply):
Thank you for your response. We hope you are doing well. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this issue has caused, especially with the unexpected autoplay of music and the inability to exit the slideshow in Firefox. We completely understand how disruptive this can be, particularly in quiet environments or when you're on the go. Based on your detailed testing across browsers, it does appear that this issue is isolated to Firefox. Since the same content works as expected in Chrome (even with ad blockers enabled), the problem may be related to a recent Firefox. As the issue appears to be specific to Firefox, while the same functionality works as expected in other browsers like Chrome (even with ad blockers enabled). We genuinely want to help resolve this, but since the issue is browser-specific and not reproducible outside of Firefox, we kindly recommend reaching out to the Firefox Support Team for further assistance. They may be able to identify any recent updates, settings, or compatibility concerns that could be affecting the page behavior. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and are grateful for your understanding.
MY EMAIL TO THEM (in response to them saying try in edge private etc): Apparently this is a FIREFOX only issue?
I tried in edge (regular, not private) and it plays the stupid slideshow with music just fine, and I can get out of it and view the regular memory page that I want (Music really!? Hi
Up to a few days ago I was able to see "View all memories" from One Drive in Firefox. Not anymore.
I am subscribed to One Drive. Every few days I get an email from One Drive with the past memories from the day of the email. I will open the emails and click on "View all memories" then it would take me to the One Drive and I would be able to see those pictures individually. For a few days now I have not been able to do this on Firefox anymore. The website goes to gray like it is trying to download the pictures but it gets stuck there.
This is happening both on my desktop with Windows 7 and my laptop with Window 11. Everything works in the Microsoft Edge browser. I can see all the images individually from that day.
I have communicated this problem to Microsoft One Drive and it seems to be a browser problem. Is there any way that this problem can be solved in the Firefox browser?
I would appreciate your help, Amy
