Hello everyone, i have Linux/Ubuntu software with Firefox browser and for 5 months it has not asked me to update, with it's pop up message. Now it is urgently asking me to update, i have followed the directions given in order to download the latest Firefox version as instructed but with no success. I am downloading it, but it doesn't have an instruction to "run" it. As a consequence, my system is getting slower and slower and i am afraid it will crush! Any ideas? Sooooos!!!

Hi,

For the past few weeks (or more) Firefox will not start up in one of my Mac user profiles. Please find attached a screenshot of the dialog it shows when I try to start it up.

I forget what happened, but I think it has to do with an update to macOS and (perhaps) not agreeing to all security measures that Firefox asked for…

For now, I’m working in DuckDuckGo in this user profile, but I thought I’d ask in case anybody can save me the research time to figure this out on my own.

Thanks for reading.

I am seeing on a Windows 7 unit that I can update to version 115.19.0esr, but I tried to use the Google search tool to check what that version is all about, and nothing. I have tried various ways on pages of what I think is Mozilla and nothing. Where can I find information about version 115.19.0esr? Or has your browser in my unit been taken over by a malware type situation and I am in danger?

BTW, when I clicked on the "What's New" link I saw nothing about that "New" version I am being asked to update to. Oh yes, I am constantly seeing that 'Please Update' window, too.

So if this is a true version from your company/orghanization, where is the information about it?

Just in case you wish to know, I do have about ten screenshots of all that I have been running into as I have tried to find information about 115.19.0esr. And if you are going to inform me that you don't support Windows 7 so you aren't showing any information about an update your browser keeps asking me to update to, I am going to send a letter to some regulator and explain that somebody is not doing there job properly. If you keep nagging me to update, then you should be informing as to why!

I've been using Firefox for a while now, and I heard there's a new update available. I'm curious about what new features or improvements have been added in this latest version. Is there a summary of the key changes? Also, are there any significant performance enhancements or security updates that I should be aware of? I want to make sure I'm taking full advantage of the latest capabilities. Any insights would be appreciated! Let's discuss more about this!

As title. Installed the latest update as soon as i came out. I get the "Welcome to Firefox" tab and the 2nd tab "Firefox Privacy Notice" opened.

The 1st "Welcome" tab, has the box and buttons asking me to import old setting and all that jazz. I have down in quiet a few times and nothing is taken root. I have went through the process of installing all my old addons and extensions, I am not sure how many times, as I use them every time I open my browser to watch Twitch or Youtube, Beyond 20, and what have you. And of course it keeps resetting my toolbar and the bookmarks and settings on my homepage.

I thought at first, it might be buggy and after a day or two it would get fixed an updated. But alas, nothing thus far and this is forcing me to use other craptastic browsers I rather not even have installed on my system.

I have refreshed Firefox a time or two, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but I am afraid to completely wipe it out, as I do not want to lose my bookmarks, passwords, and other saved information, that I probably should not have saved but I do because my memory is "teh suck".

I would appreciate any insight on how tor resolve this issue.

Thanks!

I've been getting warning messages telling me to update Firefox or security certificates will expire on 14th January. I clicked on Help -> About, but it doesn't check for updates. I also tried going to Preferences, but I still can't see a way to install updates.

I downloaded a version from here https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/download/thanks/ I unpacked it into my home directory, but I'm not sure how to install this version.

I'd like to be able to import my current session into the new version of firefox.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm putting off upgrading Linux as I have many hundreds of undocumented addons which will be lost and would take forever to attempt to remember how to re-install.

(in fact I might just switch to macos and try using homebrew).

It seems very harsh that upgrading Firefox has been prevented by linux mint for years now.

Yes Homebrew is perhaps the way forward! Life would be easier with just one O/S as I need Macos anyway for adobe lightroom.

I was informed that I need to update Firefox. (Currently running Version 120.0.1 (64-bit) Linux (Fedora). I downloaded firefox-136.0.tar.xz but it is not auto installing. I checked the Settings -> General -> Firefox Updates section, but it is grayed out. I do not have the ability to Check for Updates, or change the auto update options.

How do I install the update?

Hi, Somehow I managed to turn off automatic updates or something, because I am have been way out of date. I just checked and it my laptop or mozilla support is telling me I just updated to 113 two weeks ago. Well, that seemed to be the latest update I could get. Now I have just seen that there is mozilla up to something like 123 or 132 or some such. I got the 113 from google store, and I am still getting messages that my laptop is out of date and I need to update it. Can someone please tell me where to get the latest updates and how to go about installing them safely, or how I can turn on automatic updates...I am using Linux mint and that is probably also out of date, but seems to work.
