Hello Techies...! Newly (sunday) installed with a zero errors Lubuntu 16.04.2 LTS Live session. It often crashes. First I guessed it crashed starting a video, e.g. in YouTube, but tonight it crashed while reading a Facebook profile. I always use Private Windows, I installed HTTPS Everywhere and the only other extension installed is Ubuntu Modifications, as you are aware. Firefox health report is enabled and backlogged crash report are allowed to be sent so I guess you can read this data, too. Do yoh need to know more to help me? Many thanks, Alberto

Following the upgrade of Firefox to version 67 running on Ubuntu 16.04, no site can be displayed. All of those sites can be displayed via Chrome. Disabling plugins and addons has no effect on this. Rebooting the computer has no effect. There were no error messages during the upgrade.
Is this a problem with my configuration? With my installation? A bug in Firefox?

Some specific websites or parts of website make the tab crash in Firefox 61.0.1 on Ubuntu 16.04. I found that maps.google.ca and tvanouvelles.ca systematically make their tab crash before they are even displayed. facebook.com is fine as long as I don't use the chat. As soon as I open a chat tab or I go in full screen messenger, the tab crashes. messenger.com crashes after I log in.
In safe mode, everything works fine. However, when I disable every add-on in normal mode, the sites specified above still make their tabs crash. Is there any custom setting that could make them crash? Or is it that an add-on still has an effect on the browser even when it is disabled? Thank you for your help!

doing the Help -> restart with addons disabled -> Refresh Nightly does not help still getting a crash when attempting to do anything including attempting to goto Help -> submit feedback yet even that crashes firefox nightly using above version
getting crashes even after doing Help -> restart with addons disabled -> Start in Safe Mode
I've been away for a few months yet firefox nightly was working fine this morning. After doing the normal update it was brought to firefox nightly 55 and was still OK then it did another update to version 56 then these crashes started
needless to say I submitted this report using a different browser than ff

Since upgrading to FF55, source files (.java in particular) no longer display as text in browser. An 'open/save' dialogue pops up. Perhaps a setting has been flipped in the upgrade process or something? I'm not knowledgeable enough to just bang 'about:config' into the address bar and solve this problem, but do find it useful for school to be able to browse files shared by my peers at a glance in browser. Any suggestions?

Before, configuring a kiosk-style print from within firefox was trivial. It seems that recently (perhaps with quantum?) the about:config adding of "print.always_print_silent" = true causes either firefox to crash, or to have a print-error pop up. Not sure why this feature was removed, but it was certainly helpful. All addons that achieve similar functionality do not seem to be available on quantum (possibly because they were just setting this flag?).
Anyway, not sure what else to do at this point besides switch over to chrome.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 and after the latest update I ran on Firefox, loading a webpage left me with a white screen/page in the browser. I removed Firefox, reinstalled, started it up and had the same results. After that, I removed the ~/.firefox folder, supposedly containing user and browser settings that are kept. This fixed the browser, but I noticed my laptop fan working at full speed. I opened the System Monitor and saw that a core is running @ 100%. I'm attaching two screen shots of this, opening 2 tabs (facebook and soundcloud) and keeping them open. After closing the browser the processor goes back to idle. I'm wondering whether someone could help guide me.

Hi, it's been a long time since the last time I manually backed up my Firefox. I am using Firefox Sync now. However, I see that Firefox won't sync my Containers. When I use a different PC and sign in, my Containers are missing.. I love this feature and I really depend on it now. It keeps my private and work life neatly organized.
I want to backup all my Firefox settings together with all my Containers and migrate to another PC. I wonder if a manual backup will also include those Containers?
