Hi,

The "Take a Screenshot" function is excellent.

When I take a screenshot and click "Copy" to copy it to the clipboard, a pop-up above the taskbar is shown: "Shot Copied Your shot has been copied to the clipboard. Press CTRL-V to paste."

It is displayed for approx. 10 seconds unless the X in the top-right corner of the pop-up is clicked. Is there a way to perform this function but suppress the pop-up (e.g. in about:config)?

Thank you.

I have two problems with my browser. 1) On Windows 10 I get the push notifications if the browser not in full-screen mode but if you do full-screen you get no push notifications so that leads me to my other problem, I wanted to put the firefox app in the priority list for Windows 10 notifications but the Firefox symbol will not show up on their list of apps, why not?

Open some special PDF-Files in FF with a non-standard program

My FF is set so that PDF files are downloaded automatically. In principle, this should remain that way. Now, however, I would like a few PDF files from my own disk to be opened directly instead. I have thought up a workaround for this - which unfortunately (STILL?) doesn't work properly:

1) The files in question (so far only one, as a test) are renamed *.PXX. 2) In Win I have defined that these *.PXX files should NOT be opened with my generally used PDF programme, but with Adobe Acrobat. This WORKS. 3) Now I had to define in FF that PXX should be treated differently from PDF. I haven't managed to do that yet - the files are still written to the download folder - RENAMED *.PDF 4) Meanwhile I found some (as far as I know) "unused" extensions in FF, amog them *.IRC. So, I renamed my *.PXX-file *.IRC and defined in FF that *.IRC-files should be opend by Adobe Acrobat. 5) NEVERTHELESS - disregarding this definition - the *.IRC-files are NOT opened but "downloaded" to the download-folder AND renamed *.PDF

Does anyone haven an idea?

I just started using Firefox again about a week ago after not using it for months because websites kept insisting I use Chrome. So I now see a lot of changes in FF, and one that is VERY annoying is that whenever I paste something I've copied (usually just a word or several words), FF also pastes a URL. So I constantly have to waste time deleting the URLs. I don't see any setting I can use to stop that. Can someone help me, please? TIA. LNelson1941

I am studying web development and need to be able to enter localhost and a port number into the address bar and have the browser use it. Instead I get search results. This is SOOOOO annoying. I tried putting the search bar separate in the options, but that just gets you 2 search bars, which makes zero sense. Is there a way to change this behavior? I am completely frustrated. I don't want to have to go back to Chrome, the horrible resource hog, to complete my classes because I can't even run an emulator if I'm using it.

Firefox, Windows 10 64-bit.

I find one infuriating problem with Firefox. When on a tab with sound, the 'silence' icon (the little loudspeaker) is right next to the 'kill' icon (the stylized 'X'). They are no more than a millimeter apart. For those of us with any shake this means it is far too easy to hit the wrong one. I have lost count of the number of times I have tried to silence a page for a bit and completely wiped it out instead and had to re-start the page and hunt through the video to find where I was up to. It is bad or me, it must be terrible for people with severe parkinsons disease or any other shake problems. Would it not be possible to create a customising option to separate these, or even just remove the kill X when the sound is on, as it is rare anybody would want to kill a page in mid-speech. Then if you've had enough, just silence it, then kill it.

Does Firefox have a 'suggestions box' I could stick this in? - thanks, John

I know this is going to push the boundaries on the "stupid question" meter, but I've looked everywhere I know to look. I have a website that I completely trust (inasmuch as one can), and they've recently made some changes to their site that requires the site to reload for an animation. The problem is that FF interrupts with the banner (see image) about reloading and my only l option is the "Allow" or "Dismiss". One requires me to just keep pressing the "Allow" button, while the other stops me from seeing the reload. Is there a way I can stop this?

Thanks in advance, Dan
