As the subject indicates, I'm unable to get passwords to sync and can't import from csv. Password file was generated by desktop Firefox on a Windows PC, trying to load to Firefox on Mac. I've manually entered usernames/passwords in the login fields for a few sites and selected the Save Password option when prompted, but about:logins# still says 0 logins and nothing populates when I return to the login page for those sites or pops up if I click or start typing in the username/password fields. Also attempted to sync using same Mozilla account logged in on iOS device and Mac, and that fails on the Mac, too (all passwords are still in iOS version and sync on the device is up-to-date). Error log from attempted sync includes, "Skipping check of passwords - disabled via preferences" and repeats 'Skipping check of... disabled...' for tabs, bookmarks, addons, etc., despite all of the options being selected under about:preferences#sync. Tried unchecking all, disconnecting, reconnecting, and making sure all were checked again. Tried to connect using QR code, but keep getting the message, "Pairing unsuccessful. Try again." as soon as I click on "Connect another device" - a QR code is never actually generated/displayed (see image), and clicking on it to 'try again' does not refresh/generate a QR code. A Primary Password (Master Password) has never been set for this account/on any associated devices. If I try to enter a web address, username, and password manually in about:logins#, it throws an error message and says it couldn't save, and asks me to enter a primary password which, again, I've never created/had. All versions of Firefox are up-to-date.

Please help.

If the Master Password is enabled on one device, it needs to be enabled on all devices connected to a Sync account.

Type about:sync-log in the URL bar and hit Enter. Do you have any error reports on the devices where Logins sync isn't working?

The text of the log can be posted here: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/ Make sure you select "a month" for data retention; "a day" is the default.

Then provide the resultant URL (after posting) here so a Sync support person can review those logs - latest per device. Might take a few days to get a knowledgeable response here. '

Hello. I'm using Firefox 119 for MAC OS. However my device is labeled as Windows 10 Firefox. I don't have any Windows software labeled anywhere. I have signed out, restarted device and still no change. When I log into a website from Firefox, my "authorized device" is recognized as Windows Firefox.

My sign on for my webmail has not worked for the past couple of months. I have changed my password and this does not help. I have contacted Centurylink and tried everything they suggested and it still does not work. Have you changed something with the browser that it does not function anymore with my email? My email works using Microsoft Edge browser. It just sits on the sign in page and gives me no reason it does not work. I have cleared my cache and it does not help.

Every birthday I reset my pc too have a nice fresh start. well today I reset my pc and I went to login in and the password is wrong I don't know why it is but it is. I did sign in through google and that worked but it wont let me get back all my stuff without the password (even though im signed in through google?) please help

I'm trying to reset my Firefox account password. I know my password is correct, because I just signed into my Firefox account with it.

Every time I try to change the password however, it tells me my old password is incorrect. I know it's not incorrect because as stated, I just signed into my account with it.

Not sure exactly how to fix this one, any suggestions welcome.

Is it possible to recover information according Sync to the recorded date(For example, the possibility of choosing to selectively retrieve Sync information from : a day ago.or 1week ago or 1 month ago.....)?

Or is there only one date and that is the last backup date? I want to use a new computer and there is no data from the previous computer's hard drive

Hi, I use google chrome for work and firefox for personal use. I did not want firefox to import my bookmarks from Googe Chrome but somehow it did. Do I have to remove these bookmarks one at a time? And how do I prevent this from happening again?

I have 4 devices connected to Firefox Sync.

1. Mac deskop
2. Mac laptop
3. iPhone
4. iPad

It appears that the sync will sync extensions between the deskop and laptop ok, but not tabs. Both computers can see synced tabs from the mobile devices but not from each other.

I have logged out and in, turned on sync and off and on again, changed device names just to see if that refreshed things, removed them from the logged in list to kick them out and then logged in again, changed the tick boxes for sync items and yet tabs will not sync.

When I look under History > Synced Tabs I see the two mobile devices and their tabs but I don't even see the other Mac listed, let alone its tabs.

Help appreciated.

I switched laptops in August of 2023 roughly 60 days ago. I successfully synced and transferred all bookmarks and passwords at that time. Today I needed to switch laptops again and gave my old laptop to our tech to wipe Win11 off of and revert to Win10. I was not concerned with my synced data as I had just synced in August. Upon logging in to firefox.... there is almost no synced data. Is there anyways to access the August data?

CAn u help me pls ? Everytime I´m logging in to my account,Qwant ist in my searchbar. Everytime i deleted it came back. No Virus or Spyware or Hjack. Think its a problem caused by theSync. Can u delete everything with Qwant in my Firefox Account !? Oh yeah can u send me a pdf of my firefox with all my passwords ? In the case we have to clear my account or i forget anything. Please help me !!

So I reformatted my computer today, but the process allowed me to keep all my personal files. I had made a backup in my appdata for all my passwords and bookmarks like Firefox allows when you're in Manage Passwords or Manage Bookmarks. After the formatting, I sign into my Firefox account, and it Syncs almost immediately. When I go into my appdata, the profile has been overwritten by the new sync, meaning all my passwords and bookmarks are now no longer available. Is there legitimately anything I can do??

I had formatted my PC due to error and while re-login to my firefox account, I have lost all sync , can you please check this matter at the earliest, really facing difficulty in remembering id's and passwords

I originally setup my account under a business email address that I do not operate or have access to that email. When I log in it wants to send a code to the registered email but I don’t have anyway to get that code. How do I bypass this? I’m trying to sync everything to my iPad from my desktop.

So i was using firefox in Linux recently and now because of linux issues, i switch back to windows. I logged in with same id but sync is not working. I had a long history of passwords, extensions and bookmarks. Also opened tabs and all but the account sync is not working. I even verified if this is the same account i logged in with in linux as i have 2FA and in the app it says this is the email i used for it. Please help me ASAP

The original email address identifier I used to get into Firefox sync was discontinued by my provider and I could no longer get or send email from that account.

The new email account is a modification of the old one and now conforms with my provider’s new identifier.

Of course this change made it impossible to get into my Firefox account and to use Firefox Sync.

My old email address, which is no longer functional, is tied to the account and I can’t get into the account to change the settings and replace the email address. Nor can I delete the account.

I tried to get into the account by switching to my google email address but the same problem arose each time. I am denied entry because the Google Authentication Code which I get on my phone and enter on my browser is always flagged as INVALID. This has happened so often that I am seriously considering changing from Firefox to a different browser.

My old Firefox recovery keys no longer work either. Presumably they are tied to the old email address and password.

I support Mozilla and it’s philosophy of open source, but this is driving me to desperation.

All I want to do is sync my two computer browsers with each other so I can work better. To do that I need to get back into my account.

Tell me how to unblock an email account, that has been blocked by Firefox- I have tried to sync and it sends me an email to the blocked account with a verification number. So how can I get my email account unblocked?

I have an email account blocked (jgcaller129@gmail.com) and have tried the sync tab at the top corner of my computer. It sends a message with a number to this blocked email to unblock it- how am I supposed to get an email from you on a blocked account. How do I unblock this account. I have tried several times with the same result now the icon to sync isn't there anymore. PLEASE HELP This email is very important to me. You can send a reply to an alternate email account (also linked to Firefox -jgcaller15@gmail.com).

I am trying to recover passwords from an older profile into a new profile. I want to import the data to the new profile but Mozilla only wants it from another browser or a .csv file. Where is the file? I have created another new profile so I don't know which is which. Any7 help is appreciated.
