Hello, I received an email from you asking me to change my Firefox password for account security reasons. When I changed it, all the data synced in Firefox with my email was deleted. This upset me greatly because I lost important data and saved websites. Please restore the deleted data. Thank you.

i recently disabled 2fa and installed a new authentication app: Ente Auth. i keep getting invalid code each time i enter the generated code. i tried both options, scanned the QR code and entered the secret key manually. i used authy with success as my auth. app with firefox but can't use authy anymore. keep having issues setting up 2fa with other auth apps. thanks for any help you can offer. peace, Adrian

Hi Folks, I can't seem to setup MFA via my Mozilla profile. I'm using the Google Auth App on my mobile. Have checked that time is synced correctly. Have tried setting up on my mobile and PC. Shall I try a different Authenticator App?

I was trying to setup 2FA on my Mozilla account on Firefox pc browser (140 version). The process completes without issues with Aegis authenticator app, I download the backup codes and I even get the email confirming the recovery phone number was added. On the Mozilla accounts page 2FA turns to enabled. (I'm on Windows11 with latest Firefox browser version)

However after a simple refresh, it turns back to disabled. I repeated the process and same thing happens. Same even on Firefox Android. What could be the issue here?

I am having trouble signing into my account ******@gmail.com. I no longer have an authenticator app account and I used all of my backup codes. I do have a recovery key though. I hope this helps in recovering access to my account.

I received an email at an email account I don't use for my Mozilla Firefox, thus why seems suspicious and strange to me. So I researched it here and saw the answer to another persons same question. I did go and check, I am logged in. Firefox is my primary and I use it constantly. Also on my phone and tablet, same account. As I write this, I have about 15 tabs open and active. The email associated to my account is not the same as the one I got this email at. The email I got it in, I use for solicitation, signing up for things and things I don't trust. This is what the email stated (same info as what was posted by the other person that got this same post) I copied and paste vs. Screen shot... so the Mozilla logo didn't show up. I'm attempting to sync my account between a Windows host and a Linux host. Logging into my account on Linux brings up a "Authorize this sign-in" window that demands entry of a 7-char "Authorization Code" (not the same as a six-digit authentication code) which is emailed to me. After entering the authorization code, a window appears stating "Bad request - Something went wrong. Please close this tab and try again." This happens consistently, and only on the Linux host. Firefox 134.0.2 mint-001 1.0. Linux Mint 22.1. Any ideas about what went wrong?

I received an email saying that I had to sign in in order to keep my account. I did not click on the link provided since I thought it might be a scam. Was this a valid email? If so, is signing in now meet the requirement to keep my account?

I have been stuck for 3 days now and tried everything to get pass the authentication process.

I want to submit an Add on. On my profile page, 2 step authentication is enabled.

When i click submit new add-on, i am directed to the Enable two-step authentication page anyway. So ok i'll do that:

"Scan authentication code to continue to Add-ons"

So i use google authenticator. And im able to continue.

Then im presented with "Save backup authentication codes", so i download them and store them.

PROBLEM:

On the next page, in need to "Confirm backup authentication code". ANY code i try, that was given to me in the previous step, doesn't work.

Error: There was a problem confirming your backup authentication code.

• not using caps or whatever
• no spaces in there
• tried all the codes
• tried different browsers
• The time and date are correct on both phone and windows 10

I have NO clue what to do anymore. I can't get passed it. Can someone please advice. (see screenshots)

When I enter the verification code I received over email, it says "Bad request: Something went wrong. Please close this tab and try again."

There's no bad requests in the Network tab under web developer tools.

Hi, i am trying to upload a Firefox extension, it is my first one and i am trying to upload it. I however cannot get it to work as the code my authentication app does not work. I have tried several authentication apps but i am always returned with the same error message whenever i enter in my code. "Invalid two-step authentication code". Is their a fix to this, so far i tried using google authenticator and DuoMoblile. Thanks

I've been trying to set up 2fA on my firefox account, the whole process seems to work, I downloaded the backup codes and entered one to confirm and then got confirmation that 2FA was enabled (see screenshot). However, after reloading the page 2fA is shown as being disabled and indeed if I try to log out then in again I'm not asked for a code. I've tried this a couple of times now and it does the same every time. The auth app I'm using is Aegis.

Does anyone knows why this is happening ? Thanks.

[Edit: I just saw that after each time I tried to set it up, in "recent account activity" I add an error saying "Two-step authentication failed" which doesn't really makes sense...]
