i recently disabled 2fa and installed a new authentication app: Ente Auth. i keep getting invalid code each time i enter the generated code. i tried both options, scanned the QR code and entered the secret key manually. i used authy with success as my auth. app with firefox but can't use authy anymore. keep having issues setting up 2fa with other auth apps. thanks for any help you can offer. peace, Adrian

I am trying to setup 2-Factor Verification for my Mozilla account however every time I enter in the 6 digit code it shows up with "Invalid or expired code. Check your authenticator app and try again."

And I am positive I am doing it right. As I would normally do it; scan the QR code, enter in the 6 digit code.

If anyone has the same issue or solved it, please let me know.

When setting up 2fa. I scan the QR code. Enter the 6 digit pin generated by google authenticator. Download my backup codes and enter 1 when prompted then firefox says sync time and try again. I am running Ubuntu and have an android phone. Ubutu is set to automatic date. time and timezone. My phone is also set to automatic date&time. I have enabled seconds display on Ubuntu and phone the are synchronized to the second. I have tried this on multiple computers. Google authenticator works with all 9 other 2fa logins I use it for. I have tried many times and asked AI what I'm doing wrong Grok said I am not doing anything wrong after walking through the entire process. I have tried clearing cache and deleting cookies, signing out and back in without success. Please help I use firefox as my password manager and love it but want it to be as secure as possible.

I have Mozilla Firefox as my browser on my i phone. I noticed an exclamation symbol saying" enter your PW to connect". I go to firefox.com/pair on my desktop. I navigate to the QR code and take a picture. I confirm the desktop with the i phone. Then it asks for 2 step verification code from an authenticator. I don't get one. So I download an Authenticator app. And nothing shows up there either. The problem is getting a code from an authenticator to complete the process. What should I do?

I'm attempting to sync my account between a Windows host and a Linux host. Logging into my account on Linux brings up a "Authorize this sign-in" window that demands entry of a 7-char "Authorization Code" (not the same as a six-digit authentication code) which is emailed to me. After entering the authorization code, a window appears stating "Bad request - Something went wrong. Please close this tab and try again." This happens consistently, and only on the Linux host. Firefox 134.0.2 mint-001 1.0. Linux Mint 22.1. Any ideas about what went wrong?

I keep getting messages from Firefox to confirm account with the code. Looks like somebody keeps trying create an account with my e-mail address. I never hit confirm and I just delete the message. I keep changing my password.

I never received a confirmation code to sync with my other computer. I've tried to followed all the instruction per request, still no avi.

I've followed below instruciton from your team:

   Search your inbox for emails from accounts@firefox.com with the subject line "Confirm your account". Be sure to also check Spam/Junk folders.
   Add accounts@firefox.com to your whitelist/address book. After that you, will need to trigger another confirmation email by trying to sign into your account again.
   Check that you’re using the correct email address. Very often the email you’re trying to sign in with is not the email the account was created with.
   If you're using an email application to check your inbox, try using your email provider's website instead, or vice-versa.
   Disable any VPN or special DNS configuration when attempting to sign into your account

Please help me change my email address. I lost access to the old email i am using as primary. Problem is i cannot make any change to my account without changing my primary email

When I enter the verification code I received over email, it says "Bad request: Something went wrong. Please close this tab and try again."

There's no bad requests in the Network tab under web developer tools.

Yes Im on the right timezone, updated on auto sync and have tried multiple 2FA apps.

I'm unable to setup my Two-step authentication on my account. Everytime i do it i do the following steps:

Click to add Two-step authentication Scan the QR code with Ente Enter the code that is generated Download and copy the backup code Enter the copy code

Then i get the following message: "There was a problem enabling two-step authentication. Check that your device’s clock is set to update automatically and start over."

Must have done this like 5 times now and it's always the same. I have checked that the clock it set to automatic. I have tried 3 different computers and 1 phone, it's always the same.

What can i do about this?

I received an email at an email account I don't use for my Mozilla Firefox, thus why seems suspicious and strange to me. So I researched it here and saw the answer to another persons same question. I did go and check, I am logged in. Firefox is my primary and I use it constantly. Also on my phone and tablet, same account. As I write this, I have about 15 tabs open and active. The email associated to my account is not the same as the one I got this email at. The email I got it in, I use for solicitation, signing up for things and things I don't trust. This is what the email stated (same info as what was posted by the other person that got this same post) I copied and paste vs. Screen shot... so the Mozilla logo didn't show up. I was trying to setup 2FA on my Mozilla account on Firefox pc browser (140 version). The process completes without issues with Aegis authenticator app, I download the backup codes and I even get the email confirming the recovery phone number was added. On the Mozilla accounts page 2FA turns to enabled. (I'm on Windows11 with latest Firefox browser version)

However after a simple refresh, it turns back to disabled. I repeated the process and same thing happens. Same even on Firefox Android. What could be the issue here?
