I found the tab groups more annoying than useful, so I went into about:studies and removed it, but doing so just makes a study entirely disappear with no way to bring it back if you misclicked, so that made me wonder, is removing studies permanent? Is it impossible to opt back in once you've opted out of a particular study?

I'm not particularly regretting my choice in this case, but it made me nervous how easy it would be to lose access to a feature just by accidentally clicking the wrong thing.

I would like to use a custom provider for the integrated AI sidebar.

My provider is Azure and I do have an endpoint for chat and it requires authentication with API key.

Is it possible to set the API endpoint as provider and provide somehow the API key to Firefox to use it for authentication?

P.S. the API key needs to be provided with the `api-key` header or the `Bearer` token if using OAuth.

After I upgraded to v137 and now on v138 I do not have the new search enhancements made to the address bar. Only a new profile will get me the enhancements. I'd rather not have to create a new profile and add all my changes and add-ons all over again. It's a real PITA. Is there any 'trick' I can try to get the new enhancements?

the tab groups feature doesn't work. WHen i drag one tab onto another, nothing happens, other than the tabs go back and forth. Can't put one tab over another and no group is created.

Just installed Firefox. It does no look like it supports confirmation codes sent to my apple messages app from various web sites. If true, that is a non-starter. I will not use your product. Is there a setting I am missing ?

I've switched to vertical tabs as soon as they became available, and although I prefer using them, at the moment there is an annoying issue with them. If you have one or several pinned tabs, clicking one of them does show the corresponding page, but you can't interact with it until you click into it. To reproduce, have at least one pinned tab and a normal one. If you click on a normal tab and then press "Tab", the focus will start jumping between elements that are focusable. But if you click on a pinned tab, pressing "Tab" will first jump through the tab bar a few times before finally getting to the page: First, the tab itself will get the focus, then the "New tab" button, then the "Customize sidebar" gear icon, and only then does the focus move to the page itself.

What's annoying about it in practice is that one of my pinned tabs is a site that uses keyboard shortcuts for interaction, and whenever I click on it and start pressing keys, nothing happens. Then I have to click into the page once to move the focus to it, and only then does it become usable again.

So, it would be great if pinned tabs would behave the same way as normal ones, immediately focusing the page when clicked.

I have noticed that Firefox has been getting too many updates recently...even as much as 2 updates this week alone. Frankly i'm sick of getting the green icons and pop-ups in the upper right corner. Is there a way in about:blank codes to turn off these stealth downloading behaviour and prompt pop-ups to restart the browser and let me just manually do it in settings when i want to but without notifications ?

I would like to be able to view the names of tabs and the address bar. I am able to adjust the page views and all is well there. I do not want to use stronger glasses just to view the tabs and address bar and then switch to another strength of reading glasses.

Please create a new version of the browser app that supports the ability to use FileSystemAPI on directories, this is essential for working with a BeatBuddy project and SD cards that are saved on my computer using the online editor.

I dislike the Group Tabs feature. So many times I've accidentally created a Group Tab and then had to figure out how to un-group them.

I've tried to change the value of the "browser.tabs.groups.enabled" preference to false, but it doesn't stick; after restarting, the value is always back to "true".

What’s up with this?

I have notice for some time the Firefox start have updates almost daily it is not too bad whats that bug me is the matter the updates only start show up the information the availability after you log in any account or web site , never in your Firefox Home. you can stay 1 hour with Firefox open with home screen and no alert of updated show 10 second after you login in on email account or enter in any web site the pop up the availability updated what start became annoying .

I you can say love Mozilla Firefox and have been using it for a quite long time now ,but the issue i have with her it is a pure fact that every new version that gets pushed out is worse that previous one by many things like this 138.0.4 that after installing better say updating to it was has it done it has removed all my addressees from URL address bar ,furthermore ,the ones i do not want in previous versions i was like all of us able to delete simply and effectively by pressing shift+ delete which has not been so to say debunked or non working for quite a long time and only way to delete unwanted address from URL bar is to go to History and than find that site and push forget about this site which is annoying because like previous shift + delete which just did it's job of deleting the desired address ,method of deleting unwanted addresses from the URL bar is annoying,frustrating and a glitch in code i guess because without any reason what so ever do you want it or not the deleted address space will be populated by another even more annoying and non needed site and like that in circle ,i just want my URL ADDRESS BAR to be populated with shortcuts to the site which i want and need and that is all nothing more not Firefox to be populating my address bar with everything it get his hands on which frustrates to the point of madness cause in setting Firefox has been customized to populate address bar just with the shortcuts ,but i want them to be shortcuts i want ,i will need, i will use, and i will utilize not populated by some site i visited once 1000 years ago ! Thank you very much on your guidance and listening to problems each new version brings and if someone has a suggestion on how can i stop that and get out of Firefox what i want and need it for thank you i'll will be more than grateful on your support! Since the most recent update a few days ago Firefox (on my desktop PC) has been looking and behaving differently. The bookmarks sidebar has disappeared and can't be brought back in its previous form. Selecting Bookmarks toolbar - always show' does nothing. There is no 'Back' arrow to return to a previous screen. I'm finding this new version almost impossible to use. Have I done something wrong? Can I go back to the previous version of Firefox? Regards, Peter

This is a suggestion on how to delete Bookmarks Unfortunately when backing up bookmarks, then restoring them, this results in many duplications. To be effective there should at least be an option whether or not to accept a duplication. Otherwise the result, in reality becomes unmanageable.

To overcome much of the effort just select what is superfluous and use the Delete key.

An organized Bookmarks menu (using folders) can really make the Internet a place to find anything later that has value in the moment.

I've been using Library techniques for over 40 years. Microsoft's Favorites were my first introduction. Hopefully FF will tend to be very similar. What now exists is difficult to use in a number of ways.

It's safe to say that Mozilla is not heading in the right direction, with each FF release things are gradually getting worse and worse (example: the removal of the search bar ENTER key function, and the recent change of terms that allows mozilla to harvest user data through FF). Optimally, the user would be allowed go back to an older release, but with downgrades come the loss of profile ... etc, which is why I chose to simply stop updating FF completely. Not an ideal situation, but there's no telling what else Mozilla is going to f up in the next hour, week or months.

I thought my troubles were over, except there's now the added nag message, it shows up every few minutes, every time i start the browser, even starting private browsing window will activate the update prompt message. it's tedious having to press "dismiss" 20 times a day, the message itself imposes on page content, and can't be disabled by clicking outside the message box. I've already went into configuration, and activated the silent update message option, but to my amazement, the message came back again in a few hours, and the option was flipped back off.

how do i get rid of this message once and for all? and before mozilla staff clarifies how stupid it is to turn off updates, i understand the risks of my own stupidity, i just don't want to put up with mozilla's.

Most other forums don't impose this type of limited categorization. What is the best way to proceed here when you topic here doesn't have an obvious fit? This is not uncommon. Should I be concerned that my question won't get to the right eyes/assistance needed?

Some venues offer the ability to add tags. Why not give us the ability to add "tags" if you believe some sort of pre-designation is necessary? Does that qualify for my choosing this topic?
