Why do searches default my home location to Northern Utah, when I live in Central Utah? How can I get Firefox to use my actual home location as my default location for queries.

Why is there a search term bar in the body of the web page but it jumps to the address bar when a search term is entered. Why would firefox design a place in the body of the web page that does not work. How is this corrected?

Hello, Just updated to the latest FF on Windows and I want the old search engines option.

Now there's a dropdown menu to choose from, which is nice but makes a redundant click (click the dropdown and click again to chose).

Before the update, after typing a string, I would have at the bottom of the the search bar a list of the available engines, clicking one of the icons, would start the search, thus only 1 click.

Is there a way to get this back?

I can't figure out how to add a custom search shortcut, is this no longer possible in Firefox (without installing addons/extensions)?

I recall 'custom search' being more or less ubiquitous, and feel like there was an "Add" button below the Search Shortcuts UI not that long ago.

Bookmarks with keywords would be a reasonable workaround if it weren't for having to prefix the keyword to the search terms.

Is there a method to make searches here more precise?

I just did a search here for "inaccurate location detection". I got 3 results. One with the word inaccurate, one for location and one for detection.

I use google account No.1 for log in Mozilla Also I use google account No.2 When I open new tab / type request / google search give me results using google account No.2 I can`t change it. If it`s possible - please advise how

how do you get your search typing on the main firefox address/search bar in the middle of the page, as well as the small google search bar at the top of the page please?

When I type my info request in the Google search box below the Firefox logo on the home page, I would like to have my search start there and not shift to the URL bar above. I have tried everything to stop this process ( that I know of ) and nothing works.

Hello: FF 140.b9 64b w11p. Are there ANY search engines (not nec browsers, just want to do a search in the address bar or search field) that do NOT go to an AI site to search? I want to minimize my use of AI technology, which uses extremely environmentally costly data farms. Thank you.

An irritated FF user in Ephrata PA.

The very first time I opened Firefox and tried to do a search I got a hijacker:

Why?

I did a scan with both Malwarebytes and with TotalAV, no detections.

I stopped using Chrome and Brave because I had another hijacker (Yohoo!). I used Malwarebytes to quarantine and delete that because my paid subscription to TotalAV didn't find it. Now I'm stuck with an all new different hijacker upon installation of Firefox.
