Firefox just updated a few days ago to version 149.0. Prior to, no issues. Now every time I enter a search term and hit enter. A new tab opens and the page is blank. It only happened after the update. Closing the tab and doing the same thing again opens a new page correctly.

When I want to search something I usually open a new tab (Ctr+T) then quickly hit Tab so my typing indicator goes from the Address Bar to the Search Bar, but with a recent update there is now a "Search Selection" part that is in the way so I have to hit Tab twice.

I know this seems petty but I have been the simplest happiest minimalist user for the past 25 years and I've never had issues with Ctr+T followed by Tab to search something. Why did you implement a change that I am sure nobody has ever asked? Please revert it back or explain to my fatigued mind how to do it if it is possible.

Each time I open Firefox and type in a search I get a message like something went wrong and I need to verify that I am human. Then I have to go through the pictures and identify the ones with bicycles or motorcycles or Buses. Aggravation which I've never experienced before . I've made Firefox my default browser and I'd like to get rid of the problem. Thank you, any suggestions.

How can you claim privacy and security while using Google search engine??? That is why I use Mozilla Foxfire! I will continue to use duck duck go on phone and laptop!

I do not want to search from the address bar. The search bar is what I want to go to but invariably goes to the address bar. Is there an about:config setting to change this?

First, please explain the relationship among Firefox, Mozilla and DuckDuckGo. Second, how to make Firefox open when compuetr starts. Third, how to make DDGo the search engine. Finally, how to delete email contacts. I have been doing some, but others show a red triangle and say "cannot delete this". for about 8 years now, on and off, on hundreds of OS-es, clean installs of firefox etc. sometimes - not always - typing into the firefox search bar and pressing enter does nothing

i have bit-warden, u-block-origin and stylus installed (but they shouldn't be running on the 'new-tab-page' - is my firefox sync-profile containing some firefox-breaking-errors? (latest Win-11)
