Hello,

Starting Firefox and going to https://www.israelweather.co.il/week.asp - I get the "Insecure Connection" page. If, however, I go to a different site and then go to https://www.israelweather.co.il/week.asp - Firefox displays the page.

Any explanation or a way to solve the issue?

Thank you.

Dear Community,

I recently switched back to FF from chrome and I really love it. There is one thing I cannot get to work though: I would like to have google as default search engine but without country redirect. In Chrome this is done by using https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&pws=0&gl=us&gws_rd=cr as search engine. What is the equivalent in FF?

Thanks in advance!

I am using the current version of Firefox and when using a particular website (Microsoft CRM Online) I get frequent popup dialogs . The issue I have is Firefox will ask me (in a dialog) if I want to "prevent this website from creating additional dialogs". I understand the reasoning behind this, but I don't want it. I would prefer that the dialogs behave in the same way they do in other browsers.

Can I disable this feature either at the browser

On a Mozilla How-To page (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/block-autoplay), instructions are given for going to Permissions under Privacy and Security to easily select to allow or not allow autoplay of videos.

But on FF 64, that feature simply doesn't exist! (See uploaded image compared to image on the above linked Mozilla help page.)

I'm seeing a couple somewhat recent discussions about stopping autoplay in Yahoo, but it's a bit above my head, as there are configurations talked about that I don't know how to start doing.

Also, it's unclear to me in those discussions if Mozilla intentionally got rid of this easy-to-do setting, and if so why, and if it plans to bring it back or what.

In the meantime, what exactly do I do to stop autoplay of videos?

My 64 bit PC has just had a windows 10 feature update(dec 15 2018). While firefox will load and display what appears to be a normal screen showing my bookmark toolbar for example my default homepage is not shown. If I try to visit any website using the search bar or toolbar bookmarks nothing happens. Chrome is not affected at all and behaves as expected. The moving dot in the tab is black and just oscillates for ever. No error messages are displayed. Any help would be appreciated. I have on occasion disabled all plugins but this appears to make no difference.

I find a lot of sites that use text color from fairly light to medium gray, on white or light gray background which doesn't show up well. Some have so little contrast, it's like they're ashamed of the content.

The problem I expect from using a blanket statement in userContent.css, even if it mostly worked, is there will be some background colors that won't contrast well with black text; trading one problem for another.

If I try to set all backgrounds one color & all body or paragraph text to another, there will be other elements on pages that won't show up. One example - in Preferences / Colors, when "Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above - Always" is checked, it makes addon's UIs totally unreadable. Clearly, that won't work for pages with elements besides text. Elements on some sites just disappear. I'm not sure what type of sites today would work using override all colors with black & white or where any 2 fixed colors would work on most sites.

Is there a way to detect when sites use background / foreground colors with contrast below a certain value and only then change text to black? That would assume the background was a light color. If a dark background was detected, light text would be needed. It may be that sites have so many different types of elements / graphics, something like this would be impossible.

I first noticed this in Overwatch (OW) but also with Diablo 3. These are the only games I play online. OW has a inbuilt tool to look at it's network connection. It shows that about every 5 secs, ping spikes. There might be other stuff happening, like some loss, but I can't say for sure. This translates into choppy gameplay which is unbearable for online FPS. If you look at the attached image, you see that the spikes go to 128 ms. I normally run 44 ms.

This symptom does not start immediately and I haven't been able to check how long it takes to start. It does go away if I close firefox down.

I tried to: - remove all addons - close tabs until only home/empty tab was left - removing/reinstalling firefox.

Nothing really worked.

I am running the latest version of Windows 10 (1803) with the latest version of Firefox 63.0.3. All 64bit.

Flash Player 32.0.0.101 Firefox v64 (64-bit) Windows 10

With this configuration Flash content does not work.

On Windows 7 Enterprise, the same version of Flash Player and Firefox

It looks like it is trying to load under Windows 10 but ultimately what is displayed is a blank screen.

Is anyone else running Windows 10 with Firefox and Flash Player and getting it to work. I cannot post the URL because the application is a inhouse application and requires logging in.

Multiple clicks (up to 4 or more) are necessary on many links (such as "Your account") on BBC webpages to get a response. Sometimes the subsequent page loads with jumbled text or completely blank. iPlayer programmes frequently fail to start when clicked. NO OTHER WEBSITE behaves like this. I have COMPLETELY removed Firefox and freshly installed the latest version (64) 64bit. The same problem is occurring. Disabling Kaspersky Internet Security made no difference. These problems did not occur before Firefox Quantum.

The BBC deny there is a problem. I am using the latest version of Windows 10.

The subject pretty well describes the issue. I have to *quickly* force close, restart Firefox and restore windows, with the multiple blank windows unchecked.

I have viewed probably thousands of RSS links without issue before this version.

I only see the issue with RSS links but not all of them Maybe this sort of html is causing the problem: <atom:link href="https://www.easternherald.com/feed/" rel="self" type="application/rss+xml" /> I can see no other redirect code, and this type of code seems to be a common factor.

All dodgy links work fine with MSIE under Windows.

Hiya everyone, Well I got a virus today from a file that should of been safe? Anyways I have lost ALL my bookmarks and uninstalled-installed FF, Checked the APPDATA for them and the only file thats large in there is a file titled PROFILE which has a "Folder" and it has in it another file called CACHE2 and then when I go in there it has a Folder with just over a gig of files which must be my bookmarks but they are not in a JSON format or any readable file they are just "Files".

Can anyone help please as I have lost a lot of valuable bookmarks.

Many thanks.

So I want to archive/backup my bookmarks. I see that I can "Backup" and "Restore" to/from a json file, or I can "Export Bookmarks to HTML" and then "Import Bookmarks from HTML". Moz support suggests doing the former, though I know the latter works. Why would I do one instead of the other? FWIW, the html file I get is 8MB, while the json file is just 1MB. This seems positively screwy to have two completely separate ways of doing backups. What are these functions intended to be for? Maybe these are intended to allow porting bookmarks to/from different browsers?

After multiple efforts to get Firefox installed and running under Windows 10, I uninstalled it and tried a fresh install from the website. It appears to install successfully, but when I run it, Firefox can't get ANYWHERE. It can't even find about:config, about:preferences, or about:blank. In each case, the activity dots flash back and forth, but nothing comes up. Ditto for trying to visit a website.

Help/about tells me I am up to date, running version 64.0.

One of the articles I read here suggested it could be a proxy issue. Firefox was configured to use System Default for proxy, but changing it to No proxy didn't fix the problem.

Edge has no problem connecting using its default values.
