My employer has a certain setup, to login to the e-mail a password is needed, this is automatically filled in since we saved the password in firefox. This was setup this way to ensure employees don't need the password. In fact they're not allowed to know the password, however firefox has a show password option, which allows them to see the password anyway:S

Is there anyway for this setup to work? like hide the show saved password button orso? (employees use local accounts, aren't allowed to install anything etc, so just hiding that should be fine if I'm not mistaken) Obviously a master password won't work, since they'll need to fill in the master password when they want to login to the mail, if they can do that, then they can also access the show password option.

Any help would be very much appreciated, basicly we want our employees to login to the mail, without them knowing the password.

Lately (possibly since updating MacOS to Mojave, not sure), certain websites such as maps.google.com reliably cause a tab to hang indefinitely (with the grey rotating circle). This then causes other tabs to hang or not load properly until I restart Firefox, and I'm unable to quit Firefox normally, I have to force quit. I have no issues in Safe Mode, but I've tried refreshing Firefox, removing all add-ons and themes, disabling hardware acceleration, and the problem still occurs when not in safe mode. I'd really appreciate any help I can get with this, it's not only frustrating but is impairing my ability to do my job.

The Firefox online documentation suggests that the debugger "step into" shortcut is F11 https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Keyboard_shortcuts#Debugger

However, in Firefox Developer 64.0b7 on Linux, this is not true: the shortcut is Ctrl-F11

I would like the shortcut to be as listed in the documentation, F11.

How do I achieve this please?

Thanks

All of a sudden, I cannot save bookmarks. I'm running FF on a Retina MacBookPro, 15", Late 2013, 2 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, OS X 10.14. I did all the steps here <https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems#w_disable-all-extensions> and they did not fix the problem. I have downloaded a fresh copy of FF as well. That did not help either.

Is there a way to have an option to download common media files directly to the computer so the can be used with other programs, instead of opening them directly in the browser window?

For instance if I have a video link "http...something.../myvideo.mp4" and I click on it the video opens directly on the browser window without letting giving me an option do download it instead. I know that the "typical" way to do this is to right click and choose "Save Link As..." but sometimes this is not feasible or an actual link to click is not directly available.

I know that for PDF files there's a way to fix this in the Firefox options by choosing to download or ask instead but for files such as .mp3, .mpg, .avi, etc. I don't know how this can be done.

More and more websites / store fronts such as humblebundle.com or gog.com that offer direct links to media files for download and although normally it's easy to right click on a link to use the option "Save Link As..." sometimes a link is not directly available, or the link may be copied or sent to the browser from a different program.

There are of course workarounds to prevent these file types from opening directly in the browser window but I wish there was a less crude way of achieving this or that an external "Download Manager" wasn't necessary to get regular download links anymore.

With "browser.ctrlTab.recentlyUsedOrder" enabled (ie set to True) I see only 6 thumbnails and they are pretty huge, filling the width of my 1920 x 945 screen. Being able to preview just six thumbnails is really unhelpful. Is this expected Fx behaviour?

If this is "expected" does anyone know a way the user might controI this? Via userChrome (css) perhaps? Ideally this would entail a way to reduce the size of each image, show more than one row and Ctrl+Tab through *all* open tabs (or a user-defined number) instead of only six. Obviously (in the current one-row regime) when tab #7 is previewed, tab #1 would disappear.

Ok, it is a pretty simple question.

"How do I force FF to reload a page?"

Searching I find:

Windows/Linux:

   Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.
   Or, Hold down Ctrl and press F5.

Which is not right from what I see.

If I press CTL and the reload button (which I take as being the one which looks like a near complete circle with an arrow turning clockwise.

It doesn't mention that it also opens a new tab.

However!

Pressing <CTL> <F5> it refreshes the page. Can't confirm that it is a forced reload.

Can someone help me clarify (and maybe fix the discontinuity in what does what?

I'm using YouTube from a Mac with OS Mojave version 10.14, Firefox version 63.0.1. YouTube videos just aren't showing up for me, either on the YouTube site or embedded. This is true:

- for multiple videos;

- after deleting YouTube's cookies from my browser;

- whether I'm signed into YouTube or not;

- whether I disable AdBlock (and my other handful of extensions) or not;

- whether I started Firefox in Safe Mode or not.

I've attached a couple of screenshots of what YouTube looks like for me. Most of the time it loads correctly, but the video just doesn't appear. Sometimes (e.g. after disabling all add-ons and refreshing) it loads the other, whiter, even less interactive option. Oh! And it works fine in Safari on the same device.

Help would be much appreciated please!
