Just updated my Firefox. I had a huge tab group saved, and tons of bookmarks. I've been using firefox for months, I didn't have an account signed in on the browser though. I updated it and it had to restart, and everything was gone when it reopened. I even clicked that it should reopen tabs after restarting, but it just opened to tell me to make a profile. It told me that they just introduced profiles, and it put me on profile 1, which looked brand new. No browsing history whatsoever, no bookmarks, my background that I set is gone, and I cannot find anythign at all. I had over 50 bookmarks, inclyding very imprtant links for a final paper, and I'm genuinely so upset. Multiple of those bookmarks were things for me to go back to read/watch later and I will literally not be able to find them. If anyone has any tips at all, I'd love them. I am so seriously upset right now and I'm just hoping its possible for that to come back.

Having seen 2 versions of Firefox on my computer,i tried to delete one version and unfortunately both have gone. is it possible to recover the old version with bookmarks and passwords?

Hi customer service, please help me to restore firefox data & tabs before today. my firefox update this evening crashed & unable to restore. Million thanks

I thought I was just upgrading my Mozilla/Firefox account account and now everything I had is gone. I had an automatic taskbar that went to most of my frequently used services like my bank, yahoo mail, etc. Now I have stupid stuff that I never use. Makes me want to switch to something else.

В том числе с подменой данных в папке sessionstore-backups: запускал браузер - находил эту папку - вставлял нужный файл .jsonlz4 - перезапускал браузер. В таком случае все мои вкладке были на месте НО после закрытия-открытия браузера сессия снова сбрасывается. При очистке браузера, появлялась кнопка "восстановить предыдущие вкладки", восстановление происходило, НО закрыл-открыл браузер - и снова пусто. Пробовал удалить браузер и установить снова - та же проблема. После запуска, если открыть журнал - в разделе недавно закрытые вкладки, недавняя история поиска - пусто, как будто предыдущей сессии вообще не было. Как исправить эту проблему? Примечание - мои закладки, введённые пароли и расширения на месте.

All of my bookmarks have been disappeared with a new automatic update (9/22) and now I'm left with no bookmarks at all. My other devices were not synced because my work computer needed different links saved. Any easy options for recovery? The bookmark management tool shows no options to import bookmarks and clicking any of the restore or import options does literally nothing. This is a huge issue for work flow and is putting me out of schedule. Why would an update remove ALL bookmarks? Seems like a serious over look in function.

My wife's old Windows 10 HP laptop quit working last week do to some Operating System failure while it was trying to do an update. It finally did a reboot and now it is useless, at least as it is! It will NOT complete the boot process after trying all of the options offered. All that I am able to is exit out of Windows to a "DOS prompt." I am able to get to the Mozilla Firefox folder and others contain within. The new Windows 11 laptop I bought her is working fine with a fresh Firefox browser installed about a week ago. What she wants is her web links, settings and saved passwords "copied" from the old laptop and installed on the new one! We have no idea how many there are to retrieve! I'm hoping that there might only be one folder that I can copy via "command line" prompt to a USB drive and move the file(s) to the new laptop the same way. Can anyone tell me what I need to know? I powered up my MacBook the other day, and Firefox updated. Then, suddenly, all my bookmarks and history were gone. I have tried the "about:Profiles" and nothing is there. I have read here that many with OS have encountered the same issue.

What is the fix?

Hey guys, My friend got on my pc and shut it off without me looking and somehow when i opened it back up all my tabs(couple hundred) distributed between 3 windows were lost. I've tried all the usual recovery options by doing previous or session restore, its not popping up in recently closed windows as well, where i usually recover my sessions from if it does go wrong. Is there any other way where this data may be stored, to recover a session from 31st Dec 2025.

Would greatly appreciate any help :D

Context: So, I needed to get into Pear Assessment for school (I use my personal computer for school too) And I couldn't get into my Practice Test, so my mom suggested that I delete my history in an attempt to get in. So then I deleted it also thinking it might have a chance at working. But it didn't, and now I deleted my personal history for nothing. Please help me. Thank you.
