After last night's (6/22) update, my bookmarks have disappeared. Also, will not allow me to add bookmark. What's up? Can bookmarks be recovered?

Actually, i don't know when it happened. My browser automatically updated itself and now my bookmarks (very important) are gone and can't get them.

Okay, we had a power outage while my computer was on. When I rebooted, everything worked but Firefox. The sites would come up, but the keyboard would not work. (It worked on every other program.) So, I "reset Firefox." In that process, it made me add the Webroot extension. Now, my new tabs folder is all wrong. It is full of ads. It does not have my regular new tabs. And when I click on facebook or amazon, it does not take me where I want to go.
How can I sync my laptop new tabs to my desktop?
Or, how can I restore my old new tabs on my desktop?

My laptop's motherboard is being replaced. While that process is ongoing, I'm using a spare laptop from my employer. I didn’t realize that resetting my password would delete all of my saved passwords, bookmarks, etc. Will they still be available on the laptop that’s being repaired, since it wasn’t synced with the Firefox servers?
Where is my bookmark file most likely located after uninstalling Firefox. I've reinstalled ff and was to use it.

No dates show up under under restore. All the other options the articles mention seem to be missing from my version of FF.
