My Bookmarks and History are completely gone. I tried the recommended procedure to restore them from a back-up, but the supposedly automatic back-up files are completely empty. I have no idea how this might have happened. I have tried disabling some of my anti-virus apps to no avail. The only thing I can think of is that I may inadvertantly erased them when I ran a CCleaner scan. I could really use some help here!

I had bookmarks and backgrounds and everything saved on my browser. My mac book died and now when i open it everything reset. I didn't have any profiles or sync on but why did everything reset. And am i able to get what I had back.

bold text'I am so fed up with these updates loosing my passwords and data, why ? All my settings are messed up and last time it took two weeks to get everything back, why? I give up total idiots for releasing updates that are sub par!

Please tell me what to do to get the bookmarks back. Up to date Firefox: 147.01. Mac OS Sequoia: 15.5.

I had the Toolbar and Bookmarks Library yesterday. All are gone today. I have already spent much time reading on Mozilla site and Reddit. I will have to go to Safari and work from there.

I will check back periodically to see if I get any help.

I have enabled the option to open the previous windows and tabs. I had one window that I always closed last as it had a lot of groups that are important for my work, so it used to open every time I started Firefox. Sometimes, even if I closed the window by mistake without closing other windows, I was able to get it back by pressing ctrl+shift+n.

But yesterday, I might have closed it by mistake and when I pressed ctrl+shift+n , it didn't come back. I wasn't able to access my window and now it's all gone. I don't see anything in recently closed windows in history.

I need those tabs back as they are very important for my work. they were a lot of tabs. I had many groups but now all are gone. I tried by using the previous.jsonlz4 in the sessionstore-backup by renaming it in the default-release profile as sesstionstore.jsonlz4 but still wasn't able to access my window.

I didn't clear my history as the tabs opened in the window still show up in the history.

Kindly help as soon as possible

lost all bookmarks and can not add them back. tried the restarting, importing from Google, etc. Sadly I am off of Firefox after more than 20 years using it. Fortunately Google works fine for me, but I miss Firfox.

After running cc cleaner and even that i de select the book mark and side setting the Firefox Bookmars and history is non functional . i did create a new profile yesterday biut today i have the same Issue. I uninstalled CC CLeaner but i want to restore my Bookmarks system i need help with that. the explanation here are not really helpful

I started my computer bookmarks and password were gone. I can't find them in profiles or I don't know where to find them in profiles. I need this stuff obviously. It takes me forever to reset everything. What if anything can I do?

Firefox installed a new version and my stuff has disappeared. I don't recognize the window at all. I have tried the "restore sessions" but I'm told it can't happen. I need my stuff back.

I restarted my computer, Windows 11, and everything was gone, no passwords nothing. I'm not a computer person but can follow instructions. I'm lost without this,please help. Can I retrieve yesterday's Firefox?

I had around 3000 tabs open I closed the browser completely today. Normally when I reopen firefox all those tabs were appearing still. This time none of the tabs restored I can see tabs in history part namede 19.01.2026 although not all my tabs are there. When ever I try to reload them from the restore history part; firefox doesnt reply and doesnt take the command.
