Since the latest Firefox update I am no longer able to use a particular website that I use quite frequently. Having tried it in another browser (Chrome), which directs to http (not https), there is no problem. Firefox will not work and I use Firefox as my default browser and would prefer to keep it that way.

thank you

I am using a video conferencing site called "whereby.com". It works as expected for everything but screen sharing.

When attempting to share my screen, Firefox asks me if I'd like to allow "whereby.com" to see my screen (see attached screenshot). When clicking "Allow", I see the message in the second attached screenshot.

Firefox version - 73.0.1 Mac OS version - 10.15.3

The same error message appears regardless which of the options I select in the window where Firefox asks which window or screen to share.

Whereby doesn't have any info on this, and no search I've run has turned up anything that might give more info on the cause of, or possible solution to, the error saying screensharing could not start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Let me know if there's anything more I need to share to help troubleshoot this.

Thanks, Dan

I just installed a fresh windows xp on my pc and I'm using the latest FF 26.0,but from the start i cant get to some pages, like in youtube, some pages doesnt come up and i get the "This connection is untrusted" page,in the technical details it says "youtube.com uses an invalid security certificate, the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain is provided.(Error code:sec_error_unknown_issuer). also when i open FF add-ons manager tab Extensions,Appearance,Plugins and Services are ok but the Get Add-ons tab is not working,i get the same page as i stated above with the same technical details (instead of youtube.com it's services.addons.mozilla.org) and same error. I've tried all solutions on the web and on this forum like reset FF, adjust time & date, using the "Skip cert error" add-on, deleting the cert8.db file, and so on - none of them helped me with this problem. If it helps i use Avast! antivirus and window firewall,no other software on that pc. I'm pretty clueless about what else i can do,any suggestion that might help? Thanks!

Firefox will display a lock icon with red strike-through red strikethrough icon in the address bar when a login page you’re viewing does not have a secure connection. This is to inform you that if you enter your password it could be stolen by eavesdroppers and attackers. Firefox then blocks access to the site. I don't care that Firefox has a problem. I want to go to the site no matter what Firefox thinks aboutthe site. That is why I typed in the address. Will Firefox demand I download Internet Explorer and that I delete Firefox?

I want to use my web cam on a certain website. I click on the little information button in the browser window and get sent to Permissions. I click the drop down for camera and get to the "Settings - Camera Permissions" page, where I cannot specify the website to grant permission for the cam to work on the site. I tried to upload a screen shot of that page, but it was unable to upload.

I created a self-signed CA cert using openssl, and imported it into Firefox, but when I select it in the Certificate Manager under “Your Certificates” and click “View…”, I see the message “Could not verify this certificate because the issuer is not trusted.”

https://www.dropbox.com/s/i38v78802ym9fug/Screenshot%202014-04-15%2010.49.14.png

When I visit the site that I set up with an SSL cert signed by that same self-signed CA cert, I get an untrusted connection warning with the following technical details: “staging.cakemade.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is not trusted. (Error code: sec_error_untrusted_issuer)”

https://www.dropbox.com/s/rvq00r0pdn99rd6/Screenshot%202014-04-15%2010.57.54.png

When I view the site certificate, it correctly identifies the issuer as the CA cert that I imported, but also displays the message “Could not verify this certificate because the issuer is not trusted.”

I am using Firefox Aurora, and apply updates daily. I am using the default settings for OCSP.

My bank's site continually indicates that it does not recognize my computer and forces me through 2- and 3-step authentication before it allows me to log in. I complained and was told to add their site to my browser's Trusted Site List. I could not find such a list in Firefox version 70.0 (64 bit). Where do I enter the bank's URL so that I can simply log in? Thanks.

For the last few days, every time I click on a Google Image I get the message:

Redirect Notice

The previous page is sending you to <the page I wanted to go to>
If you do not want to visit that page, you can return to the previous page.

This is fantastically annoying and appears to be limited to Firefox. Chrome doesn't do it, and I run both with a similar set of add-ons. I've seen suggestions to set accessibility.blockautorefresh to false in about:config. It is already set to false.

Why is Firefox suddenly not remembering any of my logins or passwords? When I go into Preferences > Security, the box to "remember logins and passwords for websites" is checked. However, when I click on saved passwords there are zero. The boxes are still popping up asking if I want to save a password and I click yes, but it doesn't save. I am not in private browsing mode. However, I recently had an issue with firefox running slowly and was prompted to perform a function to make it run faster, which I did. I don't remember what that was, but it seems to have triggered this.
