My linux system no longer has pulseaudio installed (for reasons unrelated to firefox).
The --enable-alsa option is not rejected by firefox but doesn't work either.
The only way to get audio from firefox in this install is through the apulse wrapper:
apulse firefox ...
Note that chrome browsers have no problem with audio when pulseaudio is not installed.
Is the --enable-alsa in firefox supposed to work?
