ver: 134.0.1 Windows 10 Pro I have Firefox set to open filetype PDF in Browser. Normally I use IDM which automatically download PDFs, unless I press ALT key while clicking DOWNLOAD button, then it does not, in order to allow Firefox to handle the PDF.

Firefox presently does nothing. With filetype setting set to Open in Browser, Firefox Does nothing. If settings are set to Ask, it does not ask. The PDF filename appears at bottom of screen momentarily.

ver: 115.19.0esr Windows 7 Utl 7601 The exact same behaviour was also seen on a Windows 7 system running Firefox 115.19.0esr. PDF is also set there to "Open in Firefox". Again, when ALT pressed when clicking Download button, Firefox does nothing.

Firefox screws up showing .pdfs. The first view is fine but scrolling seems to overprint the first view without erasing it, if that makes sense, sorta like a double exposure. I can't get a screen cap either, which might just mean it's not a firefox issue at all, but I can view and screen cap .pdfs from any other application. I'm running Debian 12 up to date. When I need to view a .pdf I use Chromium, but I do prefer Firefox.

There is an issue with PDFs downloaded using the Firefox PDF viewer. The PDF contains a valid digital signature. When I set the parameter pdfjs.disabled = true, everything works as expected, the PDF is downloaded correctly, and when I open it with Adobe Reader, the signature is valid. However, when I set this parameter to false (default value) and download the PDF using the built-in Firefox PDF viewer, the signature becomes invalid. I compared both PDF files using a text editor and a diff tool, and the only difference I found was a specific change in the content. 1)pdf- signature is valid Ψα Exif II* μ Ducky d α http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/ <x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.6-c138 79.159824, 2016/09/14-01:09:01 "> <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"> <rdf:Description rdf:about="" xmlns:xmpMM="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/mm/" xmlns:stRef="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/sType/ResourceRef#" xmlns:xmp="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/" xmpMM:DocumentID="xmp.did:FF61BC20787811E896E6E83BD502C18A" xmpMM:InstanceID="xmp.iid:FF61BC1F787811E896E6E83BD502C18A" xmp:CreatorTool="paint.net 4.0.16"> <xmpMM:DerivedFrom stRef:instanceID="452A56456B1E68A148301EBAD51349D5" stRef:documentID="452A56456B1E68A148301EBAD51349D5"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF> </x:xmpmeta> ξ Adobe dΐ Ϋ „ ΐ F F Δ • 2)invalid pdf Ψα Exif μ Ducky d α http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/ <x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.6-c138 79.159824, 2016/09/14-01:09:01 "> <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"> <rdf:Description rdf:about="" xmlns:xmpMM="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/mm/" xmlns:stRef="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/sType/ResourceRef#" xmlns:xmp="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/" xmpMM:DocumentID="xmp.did:FF61BC20787811E896E6E83BD502C18A" xmpMM:InstanceID="xmp.iid:FF61BC1F787811E896E6E83BD502C18A" xmp:CreatorTool="paint.net 4.0.16"> <xmpMM:DerivedFrom stRef:instanceID="452A56456B1E68A148301EBAD51349D5" stRef:documentID="452A56456B1E68A148301EBAD51349D5"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF> </x:xmpmeta> ξ Adobe dΐ Ϋ „ ΐ F F Δ • I cannot understand why the Firefox PDF viewer modifies the PDF content. Firefox 137.0.2 64 bit

I've recently set up on a new desktop running windows 11.

My previous setup had windows 10, but the same version of Firefox.

In the past, when building web pages in php, I'd always used Firefox to preview the html elements of pages offline. I've not used a testing server on Windows as I'd rather test the PHP elements on the live server. Firefox was just for testing the html / css design elements, which it worked very well for.

Now, on my new computer and windows 11, when I try to open a php page offline with Firefox I get a window asking me what to do with the file - "open with" or "save file". When I choose "open with" and choose Firefox, Firefox opens up another tab with the address of the file in the address bar, but no content below, and then another window pops up asking me what I want to do with the file. This goes on indeffinately if I keep clicking "open with". There's no issue with the files I'm trying to open as I can open the exact same files on my win 10 computer with the same Firefox version and the display just fine. What's going on?

I get bills in PDF form from my water and gas provider. When I pay the bills I use Adobe to add a "PAID" sticker and a comment indicating when the bill was paid, and then I save the PDF (from Adobe) with the newly added comment. Previously I was able to open these PDFs in Firefox and the contents of the comment (added via Adobe) was visible; however, recently when I used Adobe to add a comment to a PDF and then opened it in Firefox the contents of the comment were not displayed (NOTE: I opened the PDF in Edge and it displays the contents of the comment, but it doesn't display with the same wrapping as used when the comment was created in Adobe). Interestingly, older PDFs that I added comments to still open correctly in Firefox i.e. they display the contents of the comment. I am assuming there has been some sort of update to Adobe, and was wondering if there needs to be an update to Firefox to continue to allow the contents of comments in the PDF to be displayed.

When printing a PDF with custom page ranges, the footer text in the print preview (see image) does not match the actual page. As shown in the example image, if I want to print pages 2-16, the preview indicating page 4 is actually page 5.

So, if I want to print with a very custom range, such as 2-4, 6-10, 12-14, 16, it will be very confusing and will take longer to adjust.

And I also print custom ranges like this very often for daily tasks. I’m not sure if this is a bug or just a minor adjustment needed in Firefox’s coding. Thank you in advance for your help.

Your browser needs immediate attention! I have windows 11. When I visit websites via Firefox and click on a link that takes me to a document, a large pop-up on the lower right side of the screen appears blocking half the page and preventing me from downloading or printing it. The pop-up depicts a cartoon-letter with a highlighter pen traversing its cartoon-text, below which is an enthusiastic missive stating (and I quote): "Now you can highlight your PDFs! With our new highlighter tool, you can read and edit PDFs in one place." Because of this infernal nuisance, I cannot print or download web pages. This has been going on for WEEKS! (That pop-up is USEFUL?! Who thinx up this stuff??!!) Apparently you're having trouble fixing this problem ... I understand--I'll just use Edge or Chrome from now on. Sorry if I woke you.

Every time I try to view a pdf file on Firefox I can view the file but in the lower right 1/4 of the screen I get a graphic of a page with shaded areas representing lines with writing on them. There is a type of pen cursor moving along the line.

This happens with different pdfs - from the internet and from my saved files. This doesn't happen on another computer with Firefox.

I've deleted and redownloaded Firefox an number of times, also tried troubleshoot mode - no improvement. Virus scanned, restarted a number of times.

Pdfs work on edge and chrome and reader with no problem.

I have a screenshot.

Any Ideas? Thanks
