Ever since the last update nothing has worked right. I get application crashes all the time, sometimes it freezes, sometimes it get popups for script errors, sometimes it just wont start. Then whilst typing in fields it will jump to a random spot. It's still taking between 250mb and 3 gigs of memory with one window open, it's just turned into a really bad browser, But I do want to congratulate you guys on successfully making it just like the old Internet Explorer.

Firefox (Quantum) is not printing everything on a particular page -- it only prints about half of the information.

But Chrome does print all of it.

We use Firefox here at work so I enter the data on Firefox and use Chrome to print it. I'm so confused as to why Firefox is only printing half of the data but Chrome prints all of it.

I have tried everything from the "printing issues" troubleshooting page including resetting the printer settings and also removing all lines in the prefs.js file that start with print_.

Please help. Thanks!

I am not ALLOWED to ever find the location of the firefox address or navigation bar. The "people" of firefox use these two names all over this site, and not once will anyone tell me the location, or how they may be accessed. If the most basic data is EXCLUDED, because EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT FIREFOX, how is the new user to find anything? I have spent 7 hours on your website, because this browser idles at almost a gig of RAM on the browser homepage, I researched and found out I'm supposed use the "navigation bar" unfortunately someone forgot include it's location. It's great that you include the data that the "minimize memory usage" button exists as a tool, BUT WHERE IN THE HELL WAS IT HIDDEN? I have never experienced a product that intentionally excludes instructions, and there is no way to get any help or service, and I'm left with this poor excuse for customer service with leaving questions that will never be answered. Thanking you in advance for NO HELP OR SERVICE, James Erb(email address).

I have disabled add-ons one at a time, and have seen some improvement but it is still happening. Is there another fix? I now only have one add-on and think this is not the solution. From a post an another website, I have heard from others about having this same issue.

I just installed Firefox 12 and memory usage on 40 open tabs spiked from a maximum of 900 MB-1 GB to 2.5 GB. Memory usage for firefox.exe would start at 4-500 MB, steadily increase to 2.5 GB in 10-20 min even if I did not touch the browser at all. Hard drive I/O went trough the roof as well. Laptop would become unresponsive and Firefox would eventually crash. Downloaded Firefox 11, installed it on top of Firefox 12 and everything is back to normal, memory usage is less than 900 MB with normal usage, it doesn't really grow past that. Guess will stick with 11 until they fix these issues in 12.

Helly, my problem started with FF 6. It keeps freezing the whole browser after a few minutes. I think every 15 minutes it's freezing. Now I went to the helpforum and somebody gave the advice to deinstall FF. Run CC Cleaner. And then reinstall FF. I did that, and seems to work. It wasn't hanging anymore. BUT it came back!!! I don't have a clue why. I changed nothing to my pc. Now I have upgraded to 7.0.1 and the problem of freezing is still here. When it freezes, my whole pc freezes. I can do nothing else. please fix it!

Yesterday I discovered a pop-up attached to my Mozilla Firefox, it was essentially a white box, with a grey bar inside, which I dangerously clicked as it would not allow me to close or access my Mozilla. Clicking the box revealed an ad for something call PC Keeper which now also shows in my remembered links as being in a second window. I was forced to shut down my computer to close the Mozilla, making all my links unavailable to me, and ultimately had to uninstall it from my computer. I attempted to reinstall a new version, but, again found this PC Keeper attached to it, it's white window firmly locking everything up, and forcing me again to uninstall the program. Please, find me a way to once more have my Mozilla without this PC Keeper.

I don't know how to redo my Firefox page. I don't even know the terms that are used for that page. FIrefox Page? The page I go to do a search to find a website or a video, etcetera. I just got my computer back from the shop and they changed all my settings, so now Google is the big cheese on the page. That is very, very bad. Google now is following me all over, so I can't even post to a video. I am supposed to sign in to Google? Not going to happen! I just want to see my Firefox logo in the search box like it used to be, not GOOGLE in big letters, beating their breast, like now they own me.

I already posted on this, and was getting some help, but it's not enough help. I was reading the directions on how to set up a Firefox page, and it's so complicated. I'm not a computer geek. I'm so frustrated that I can't have a computer that works anymore.

Giving directions on technical stuff is horrible. All those words are meaningless. How is anybody supposed to even know what those words mean? Why does Firefox have to be always changing all the time? Microsoft always changing. They think we're a bunch of nerds who all graduated from computer tech school or what! My computer repair guy tells me to go to the community college and take a class! Excuse me? I don't think so. I've been using a computer for 30 years. I just want to type with it and browse with it. I don't want to program it or build one or repair. Why is this Firefox program so damned complicated!

Don't you guys have an all-in-one version, an all around version? Let us answer questions to order our version we want? What's with all this technical descriptions of how to save this or move that or whatever.

My computer is running terrible, and I can't even do basic things I want to do because Google is running my life, and I just want to get them to leave me alone. I'm not interested in their bossing me around and standing at the door everytime I want to do anything. I am not signing in with Google to do anything! Not as long as I don't have to , and then I might just take the computer and trash it if Google doesn't butt out.

Hey all.

As some of you may know from some older questions, I have two machines. One a Windows XP desktop running Firefox 28, as it was the last version I knew that supported Windows XP, and the other a Windows 10 Laptop that is on the current version of Firefox.

Sadly, my post is about the XP version of Firefox tonight. Please don't judge. The computer still runs, so I haven't seen a reason to get rid of it, and I split my time between the two machines.

I'll get right to the point. Up till tonight, Version 28 on Windows XP had worked perfectly with Youtube— Or at least as near to it as the old machine could get— as it typically played every video more or less with no issues via the HTML5 video player that Youtube supposedly uses. However tonight, I have been getting very hit or miss responses on youtube, as the HTML5 player does not always come up, and when it does not, I get an image of static with text saying that my browser is not recognizing any of the available formats. When I check youtube.com/html5, it is showing that it recognizes some of the formats— apparently only two so far, and HTML5 itself isn't even listed among them, though there is a checked box saying that the HTML5 player is used when possible— so I'm just wondering, what the hell happened here? As I said, Up till basically last night, everything worked more or less fine on Youtube, with there being only a handful of times the issue of a video format not being recognized came up. In fact Firefox 28 is still somehow pulling up the classic version of youtube, rather than the new version, which I have no explanation for.

Did Youtube stop supporting HTML5 in favor of a new video format, or is something else going on here?

If there is a later version of Firefox that still worked for Windows XP ( I think I remember someone suggesting that 43 would work, but half of the extensions no longer seem to exist for it that I use, including classic theme restorer— though I think someone at waterfox said they may have archived that extension, however I have no idea how to access or use archived extensions— but any port in a storm at this stage) that supports whatever Youtube is using, that would be welcome information, despite my attachment to version 28. Hell, if I could make sense out of how to set up multiple profiles for Firefox, I'd run the classic 28 and whatever later version might run with whatever Youtube is doing so I wouldn't have to give up my preferred version on this old machine. Again though, sometimes the HTML5 player works, and sometimes it doesn't. So I dunno what the issue is here and if there's a fix I can find for Firefox 28, as it is the last version I knew worked for the older machine.

Thankfully, this issue doesn't come up on the Windows 10 laptop, so this is not repeating itself there, Thankfully. But is there a way to fix this, or am I just stuck with considering Youtube a partial, if not complete loss on the XP machine? It's one of only three sites I even still use the browser for. The other two being fanfiction.net and wikipedia.org

And if there IS a later version of Firefox that still actually works with XP, does anyone have a basic 'here's how even an idiot can fix it so you can run two versions on the same machine' explanation of how to set that up? I am NOT a technical person, and going into excessive detail does me no favors. I just need simple, point by point instructions that are, in effect such that a three year old could read and understand them if there is a way to have two versions of the program running.

Though this does also make me wonder if I can install the browser in my second internal hard drive rather than the primary C drive and still have it work properly.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling. If anyone could help me address these issues, that would be much appreciated. :)

Our security group frowns on enabling TLS 1.1 / TLS 1.0. Please advise on how to get TLS 1.2 (exclusive) working with latest Firefox for Windows 10.

Hi everyone!

Hope someone can help. I'm going insane!

I know my userChrome.css is in the correct place, and Firefox 50 is responding to this

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */

/* Hide bookmark icons in the Personal Toolbar */ toolbarbutton.bookmark-item > .toolbarbutton-icon { display: none; }

/* Don't show tab icons */ .tab-icon { display: none !important; }

but for some reason, Firefox 50 is ignoring this:

/* Hide "normal" bookmark icons in the bookmarks menu */ menuitem.bookmark-item > .menu-iconic-left { display: none; }

/* Hide icons for bookmark folders in Bookmarks menu */ menu.bookmark-item > .menu-iconic-left { display: none; }

/* Hide icons for bookmark groups in Bookmarks menu */ menuitem.bookmark-group > .menu-iconic-left { display: none; }

I have tried many times in Safe Mode, switching/creating new Profiles, Refreshing/Restarting Firefox, even using the about:config, but the Favicons still persist in the Bookmark Menu. I suspect perhaps the CSS syntax has changed for the Bookmark Menu/Favicons for Firefox 50? Why else would every command be ignored, every time? Unless I'm am missing something really obvious. I've spent days researching pages from 2005 up to more recent times, nothing newer in terms of syntax. I wouldn't feel a need for this but the Favicons in my Bookmark Menu slow it down so much its unusable. Although I know if I can successfully toggle off the Favicons, the Bookmark Menu will very quickly load as it should.

Your help is much appreciated.

I'm getting a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR when trying to visit a site I've gone to scads of times and strongly believe to be valid today.
