I have the following box checked in Firefox and Thunderbird but spellcheck does not work.

"Check your spelling as you type"

I have tried everything that I can think of. It used to work but and update apparently disabled it even though it is checked.

I think this is a bug, but thought I'd ask here first.

On FireFox 76.0.1, Windows 10, 64 bit

This is not resolving (names changed for privacy)

none

The URL resolves correctly when used alone. Clicking View Image on the browser right mouse menu on the alt ('none') link also resolves correctly. According to the dev console Network tab, it's not even trying to access the specified URL, and hovering over it on the Inspector tab reports "Cannot load image"

The page containing that image definition works correctly in Chrome, Edge beta, and Opera.

Thanks! Dan

When I switch my Firefox to fullscreen it overlaps onto the taskbar (as you see in the picture I attached below) Can someone help me fix this? Turning on the Titlebar fixes this but I don't want the Titlebar to be on. This is a seriously big and annoying issue. I have tried reinstalling and refreshing my browser and even disabling windows color from being applied to the taskbar but it doesn't help. Its as if Firefox has an extra piece to it in fullscreen. If I click on the taskbar it overlaps back onto Firefox but then if I open start (as you can see in the second picture) that extra piece of Firefox is still there.

My Folders Pane has entirely disappeared from Gmail. If I move my cursor to the left of the screen I DO NOT get a double arrow that allows me to retrieve the pane. I am NOT missing individual folders; I am missing the whole pane. I attach screenshot.

The folders pane is NOT missing from a different email app I sometimes use - Fastmail

My gmail account is working in Chrome on my android phone and android tablet. The problem is only in Mozilla on this computer.

I am running Linux Mint 19.2 Tina with Ubuntu 18.04 base bionic, Cinnamon 4.2.3. Restarting the computer and Firefox does not help.

Any help you can provide will be much appreciated. Maybe the answer is to uninstall and then reinstall Firefox and Thunderbird? Would prefer something easier.

Thanks!!!!

Hi, I've been notified that there was a data breach of my email and password - but the data breach was at a company where I do not have an account. I guess that is possible somehow, but how do I figure out which password they got, because all my passwords for different companies are different. If they got a password for some other company I should change it, but I don't know which one to change.

Suddenly every time I want to use Outlook, E-bay or Facebook, I have to put in a password even though with Outlook there is a 'save password' box which I have clicked. This is a recent problem. I am using Windows 10. People have suggested clearing cookies and re-starting the computer - both of which I have done without success. Any help welcome but I am a senior with limited computer skills so please make the suggestions simple! Thanks.

Hello all,

I run a bunch of web applets locally on my computer for personal use only (http://localhost/...), and until recently I could successfully launch FF using window.open(...) with the new window NOT showing the address bar (because it takes space and looks ugly within the applet, so I want to avoid it at all cost).

I believe this changed with FF 76 (I now run v. 76.0.1 64-bit on a Windows10 based computer), anyway at this point it seems impossible to NOT have the address bar show up in a FF window. :-/

To be clear : I have searched for a solution in this forum and elsewhere, found the solution to another new problem with FF ("megabar"), also seen the trick to hide the url in the address bar - but this is not what I'm looking for : I just want to *get rid of the address bar*, period.

Thanxx in advance for any help with this issue (surprised noone else seems to complain about this). :)
