I wanted to check a Hertz reservation. I typed Hertz into the Firefox bar at the top and selected the first entry that had the Hertz logo followed by https:\\www.Hertz.com. I clicked that entry and only a white page came up. I tried reloading and nothing happened. Eventually, I opened a new window and again typed Hertz in the bar. This time i scrolled way down and found a google symbol next to the word Hertz. I clicked that and it worked. How can I automatically search with Google so that I don't have trouble accessing sites?

Running Firefox 82.0.3 on MacOS 11.0.1 (Big Sur) -

If I go to full screen mode with Firefox, and then let my cursor get to close to the top of the window, it activates the dop-down of the menu bar. That's supposed to happen. But the bar is blank (the menu bar items appear above it), and hides tabs. And sliding my cursor away, the bar does not go away. Stuck. And can't resize Facebook to regular view to get rid of it. Need to close it and start over.

Thoughts?

I need to view a cached webpage as it was on a particular date without Firefox automatically refreshing the page once I retrieve it from History. Example: I attempted to login to an employer's website and received an error message that I would need to reapply. I went back to said website yesterday and was able to login to my employee profile. How can I pull up the page from my History showing the error message where I wasn't able to login and the error message was displayed?

There used to be header and footer settings in the older page setup option for date/time, page of page, etc.

Now you have to change where you want this in the about:config. Would be nice if this option was in the print settings dialogue.

This is more of a request than an issue. As I was able to change how I wanted the pages to print using the about:config method and setting up the header and footer there.

OK, sorry if I dont know all the technical jargon but here are a couple issues I have been having. Currently using FF88.0 on Windows 10 Home edition.

A few updates ago I noticed when I go to print a page from the internet (specifically eBay Order Details) it no longer prints the default auction picture as it appears on the screen but enlarges it up to the original download size. This make the shrink to fit option no longer work properly. So in order to get all of the information I need on one page of print I have to constantly change the size from 40-60% to make it work. Frustrating and time wasting.

Second issue: This one just started with the last update. I use a Rollo label printer and I had everything set up where it worked just fine. After the last update it prints half labels and I cant get it to adjust back properly. Huge issue and time waster.

On average I feel like this slows me down 15-30 minutes a day total.

Firefox Browser 89.0b6 (64-bit) Developer Edition Windows 10 Pro 20H2 Build 19042.804 Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

I currently have two displays connected, the 2nd display is positioned above my primary display, the two displays are arranged as such in the Display settings.

With Firefox open on my primary display; if the window is Maximized, it extends several pixels beyond the top of the screen and onto the second display above.

If I go into Display settings and rearrange the displays so that Windows behaves as though the 2nd display was actually to the right of the primary display, maximized Firefox windows to do not extend onto the 2nd display.

From what I have observed (a handful of various browsers, notepad++, office applications, adobe reader, explorer, cmd, and other miscellaneous software), this seems to be specific to Firefox.

It appears to be that Firefox is drawing itself slightly beyond the top of the desktop when maximized.

It is enough to cover approximately the lower two thirds of the information in the 'status bar' area of the windows on the 2nd display.

Is this a known issue? Is there some a way to fix this? Is this somehow not an issue with Firefox despite it only happening with Firefox?

Any help is appreciated.

I detected recently a change in behaviour that is annoying me quite a bit. I do not know where to change such behaviour. It concerns examples such as :

A link like "file://path_to_some_folder" used to open Windows Explorer and now opens a new tab.

A link like "thunderlink://blahblah" used to open the associated application just like that. Now it first opens a new tab before doing so. Leaves me with lots of unnecessary tabs (only having "thunderlink://..." in their titlebar).

I assume it is the one or the other default setting that changed, but I cannot figure out how to restore the original behaviour.

Hello,

I had this problem mostly on 1 site across multiple Windows installs. But now it happens on multiple sites. Text overlap each other. I Am using Windows 10 Pro 20H2, Firefox Last stable with only UBlock addon.

I tried: even troubleshoot mode didn't help!

- changing/flushing dns didn't help (heard dns could cause that)

Any idea why is this happening. It doesn't look like site issue, since recently it happened multiple times!

With Gmail open in Firefox browser, when I start typing the name of the addressee in the TO field, many addressees will not autocomplete, even though they are properly saved in my Gmail contacts list. I looked for common solution for this ... and found: use different browser. I did, and MS Edge works just fine. Is there a setting in Firefox that will fix this?

I am running Firefox 88.0 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) 20H2. I don't think the exact versions are the problem though, because this has been going on for months at least.

My system time zone is manually set to "Haiti (UTC+5:00)" for the Caribbean. My system time is set to automatically sync and my system time zone is set to manual.

The problem is if I open my Firefox browser history with Library > History > Manage History the visit time is an hour later than my system time. For example the history will show a page visit at 14:20 while my system time is still 13:20.

I suspect that Firefox is using the wrong time zone offset, but where can I change that?

Thanks.

Hi

When I try and login even though I enter the correct credentials I get the message "hmm the information you provided doesn't match our records. Try again?"

Works perfectly fine on Chrome

I'm in IT so know what I'm doing and have tried all your generic fixes-safemode, troubleshooting etc. Firefox needs to fix this is it fixed and if so please advise or should I just stop using Firefox?

Thanks
