Given that the turn off javascript option will be disabled - how do I close a page that does not allow me to leave by giving a "are you sure you want to leave" pop up question but then redirects to itself where it again asks that question perpetually?
The only way to kill a page like that sofar was to disable javascript and then close the tab. Now I will have to close the browser - and possibly loose all the tabs I have open.
I want a javascript quick switch - allowing me to easily disable javascript for any page at will. (esp for some of my older, slower netbooks)
Or at least a "FORCE CLOSE" option for malicious webpages.

I have firefox quantum v66.0 (64 bit). When I check for updates under help/about an update download begins but then my computer crashes with an APC Index Mismatch stop code. When I log into firefox I get a page offering a down load of firefox quantum which I already have. Sometimes when open firefox I get a dialog box asking permission to update firefox. Clicking yes results in a blue screen crash with the APC index mismatch stop code. My operating system is Windows 10 home 64 bit. I can use firefox if I don't attempt the update but would like to have the latest features. Should I perform the offered download? Is there another solution.\?
