Firefox PDF reader is not showing watermarks.

People can see (and print?) my free samples minus the watermarks that are in them.

eg at lauriewilliamsmusic.com/composers/laurie-williams/auld-lang-syne/

Watermarks were put in by PDFill Free PDF Tools and always show up in Adobe Reader.

I never imagined that such a failure could happen until I was checking things today and saw it. Not good.

Just realised that this thing is asking about my browser. I'm writing this in Chrome but I have the latest version of Firefox.

I am trying to get active Tab Title as well as URL from Mozilla Firefox. I have started to build up a Firefox add on and installed it using registry entry. My own developed Firefox add on is installed perfectly and it is showing the current machine time. This Firefox add on contains file like chrome.manifest, install.rdf, sample.xul, overlay.xul, clock.xul, clock.js etc. Below is my code.

chrome.manifest ---- content helloworld jar:chrome/helloworld.jar!/content/ overlay chrome://browser/content/browser.xul chrome://helloworld/content/overlay.xul locale helloworld en-US jar:chrome/helloworld.jar!/locale/en-US/ locale helloworld fr-FR jar:chrome/helloworld.jar!/locale/fr-FR/ skin helloworld classic/1.0 jar:chrome/helloworld.jar!/skin/classic/ style chrome://browser/content/browser.xul chrome://helloworld/skin/overlay.css style chrome://global/content/customizeToolbar.xul chrome://helloworld/skin/overlay.css

clock.xul---- <dialog id="clockDialog" xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"

   title="&helloworld.clock;" buttons="accept"
   onload="initClock();">
 <script type="application/javascript" src="chrome://helloworld/content/clock.js" />
 <hbox align="center">
   <label value="&helloworld.currentTime;:" />
   <textbox id="currentTime" />
 </hbox>

</dialog>

clock.js----- function initClock() {

 showCurrentTime();
 window.setInterval(showCurrentTime, 1000);

}

function showCurrentTime() {

 var textbox = document.getElementById("currentTime");
 textbox.value = new Date().toLocaleTimeString();
 textbox.select();

}

I want to convert this code to fetch current tab title and URL from Firefox browser. At first, I am concentrating on the browser extension part and not the native for now and I just want to have a listener inside the js files such that whenever I switch to a different firefox tab or firefox window, an alert should show up from the browser itself (not from native at this moment) displaying the active tab's title and URL.

I want to get the solutions it code . It would be great help if any one can help me to get the exact solutions.

I am not against gay marriage any more than I am against Unicorns! Neither ONE EXISTS! Marriage is between one man and one woman. There may be gay unions, or gay couples, but there is NO such thing as gay marriage. That said, you chose to discriminate against a man who simply exercised his Constitutional 1st Amendment right. I am exercising my right to boycott Mozilla and firefox.

Do you remember when Americans were free to have an opinion, and we would accept those with different opinions than our own? I'm in my mid-20s, but I remember that time. It seems to be gone now.

You have forced your CEO to "resign" from his position because of a witch hunt that was launched against him because of a donation he made 6 years ago. Really?

Is this really the kind of world you want to live in? Where everyone needs to think exactly the same, and anyone on the other side of the fence is labeled a bigot and gets fired from their job? In this case, Brendan Eich didn't even do anything or say anything stupid. He was just hired onto a position and the militant left jumped on it because of a donation he made in 2008. A time, I'm sure you realize, when people were much less accepting of the gay lifestyle than they are today. The big lunges that they have made come in the past couple years with people like George Takei winning over their acceptance.

My views on gay marriage and other related issues are not the problem here, and therefore I will not get into them. The problem is that a man who reached the top of your company was kicked off because of an opinion he held 6 years ago when it was not even controversial. If he were making the contributions today instead it would hold more merit, but it still should not dictate his job performance. As long as he's not going around holding a "God hates fags" sign, his political views do not have anything to do with his job performance and it does not affect your company.

However, that takes us into the real underlying problem here: you were attacked by these groups like GLAAD who make you fear for your own business because of your association with this man, and you gave in. You aren't the first company to do it, and you surely won't be the last. Yet, are you satisfied in doing this? By giving in to a group of people who attacked you because of who you hired, you have bowed to a bully. You were bullied into this decision and now you are reeling in hoping it doesn't hurt you too bad. Will the people who jumped on you suddenly become customers again? Will this decision alienate other customers?

America became the greatest country in the world because it was built by people who believed in themselves. I won't even get into anything political here. It was just about hard work, believing you can achieve things, and not letting anyone tell you otherwise. It was the belief that we could build a country where anyone could become anything if they put their mind to it and they didn't let anyone bully them into thinking otherwise. It was that determination that led us to invent the lightbulb, the automobile, and the airplane. It was that kind of ingenuity that allowed us to take charge of the internet and for companies like Mozilla to innovate the web as much as it has in 10 short years.

Tell me, how do you think any of that will be able to happen if everyone is watching their backs? How will we make more progress if people are afraid to say an opinion just in case they might be bullied because of it and lose their jobs?

When I was checking out Plug-ins and updating them, I was not prepared for the Adobe DC with Cloud and the other things it has to offer. The Adobe XI that I had contained my PDF files. When my Vista OS fell apart, I lost quite a few things. The only thing I do not like is that you cannot get the older version of Adobe back on the desktop unless you are an IT person, which I am not. I know it has to be on the hard drive. I have tried to download it, but it comes up this an error stating that Adobe DC is the version I want. I have a Dell Windows 7 Professional Inspiron 3847 2013. I just wish I could have my Adobe XI.

My Second Life avatar was grief-ed by being flung into mid air by either a script, a push or a repluser. I personally am convinced that is was a script of some sort. Another avatar di try to aid me by sending a teleport request yet every time my avatar landed in the same area I bounced back to both mid air and the land boundaries of where I was at the time.

Hi folks, Pale Moon developer here. Sorry about posting this in the support forum but I'd like to get this out to the people who actually frequent this place to provide support.

I've seen several occurrences on the Firefox support forum mentioning Pale Moon by users and responses by you volunteers (greatly appreciated that you try to assist people with an alternative browser), but please, if you say things about Pale Moon, can you get your information correct, so people know what they can expect with Pale Moon?

  • Pale Moon is both x86 and x64, and is available for Windows and Linux.
  • And most notably, I've seen people saying the following (which is probably taken from misinformed people at Mozillazine) about x64 Pale Moon:

"Note that those so called 64-bit builds are not based on Official source from Mozilla as there are no Win64 releases of Firefox yet and the only place to get Win64 at moment from Mozilla is on the unstable Nightly development channel and these are mainly built for breakage/regressions purposes."

That is absolutely incorrect! The fact that Mozilla only builds 64-bit binaries from its Nightly code doesn't automatically mean that Pale Moon is following suit there. Pale Moon builds both architectures from a single release-channel source tree. It's not experimental, it's stable release code. Also, technically speaking, none of the Pale Moon builds are based on "official source" since it's a separate product (an actual fork off of the ESR branch), and the source code has been altered to provide the feature set and UI it does. It seems people have assumed Pale Moon is a simple re-build of the existing Firefox source tree; it is not.

In the future, would you kindly not state any other facts that you haven't verified? it causes confusion among would-be Pale Moon users. Also, feel free to forward people to the Pale Moon forum http://forum.palemoon.org/ if they have questions you don't have a direct answer to; the community over there is happy to assist you in your task of providing support.

More details also: http://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4564

Thanks in advance for working with me to get supply of information aligned about Pale Moon.

While back, firefox users got outraged due to bookmakrs comment section was removed. Users were no longer able to write comments for their bookmarks. Firefox said that websites accessing bookmarks, could also read comments which could contain personal information such as logins and passwords etc.

For that reason FIrefox team decided to force users ditch comment section.

The problem here is not the comments but the fact that bookmarks are accessible to other websites. Firefox is not just allowing but had implemented an API for websites to access bookmarks. This was done so that websites can crawl your bookmarks and push ads based on what they find. It may also be a government imposed function. Either one.

So now that thousands of users personal information was exposed to unknown websites accessing their bookmakrs, firefox resolved this with "taking feature away" ? instead of "remove bookmakrs reading by websites" ?

WTF ? I have no words to describe this moral corruption. They purposly created a function that allows websites to access your bookmarks comments. After enough information was shared they decided to pull the plug to make them selves look good as "we care about your privacy" ? What the hell are you talking about ? YOu care about my privacy ? STOP websites from reading my bookmarks !!!!!!!!!!! Websites should have NO access to ANYTHING. They should not know what browser i have, they should not know what bookmarks i have.
