Firefox
An https site I have been using for years suddenly is no longer accessible "because the authenticity of the received data could no longer be verified."
It works on Furefox on Windows7 Pro and on Internet Explorer but not on Windows 7 Home Edition, and not on my Android phone. Any ideas how to work around thus?

I went to my add-ons tab, and I DO, in fact, have two versions of shockwave flash, an 11.9...version, and a 13.9..., which, if I'm not mistaken, is the latest version. There is a "ask to activate, always activate, never activate" button for EVERY add-on. I clicked never activate on the older version, and closed the tab. I then tried to play a video off of the Web. It would not play, I tried another site with the same result, so I went back to my add-on tab, and the button for the older version had changed back to "always activate" by itself. It continues to repeat this, and WILL NOT stay on "never activate". Every few times I return to the add-ons page, THE NEW VERSION IS DISABLED, AS WELL AS THE OLD ONE. I've tried to uninstall the old version, but when I go through control panel, and bring up the folder contents, the old version isn't even there! I've done start, find, and typed in "Adobe", and the old version is NOT FOUND! Both versions keep changing back and forth on the activate button, and they both will disable on their own, no matter how many times I fix it! smh!!

I'm unable to open Firefox after recent Windows updates. Unfortunately I cannot resolve this through a system restore as I did a system clean up before I realised the problem and lost the restore points. I tried upgrading to Windows 10 as that should resolve the problem but have come up against the issue of the system automatically reinstalling the previous operating system (ie Windows 7) at the end of the download/installation process. I tried removing the firewall and virus protection but Windows 10 still wouldn't install after 3 attempts. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem of Firefox not launching, while staying with Windows 7, would be very much appreciated.

He, I run Windows 8.1 on a Lenovo Y510P SLI laptop and after the upgrade to 38 launching firefox crashes the whole OS. The screen freezes, the mouse or keyboard are unresponsive, though any sound in the background will keep playing for some more minutes until it stops too and the only thing i can do is hold the power button to force a shutdown. I'm using the latest drivers from Nvidia geforce experiencr from a few days ago and firefox 38.0.5. I tried downloading the developer edition but the situation is similar - i see a very distored ui and if i press the menu button the system freezes. What should i do to fix the issue?

I've downloaded the latest Firefox almost ten times,but everytime it tries to install I get a notification that firefox.exe has been deleted because it has "Gen.Trojan.Heur.JP.xu2@aaS1JFfi". Even when I disable security during the download and manage to install, as soon as I switch on active protection ( set to Permissive/Low setting) the exe is deleted immediately. I don't have unlimited data and constantly opening the download stubs is proving cumbersome. Is there a workaround for this as well as a way to store my installation file on my hard drive?

On my old computer with the same operating system the email link button opens my outlook account so I can send the link. Cannot understand why it works on old computer but not new one.

Since installing Firefox 56.0.2 recently I have repeatedly experienced slowdowns or complete failure to load. Error message reads: "The intruction at 0x..... referenced memory at 0x00000000... The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program."
I appreciate that there is a long history of complaints about this problem, and suggestions offered to remedy it. None of them work for me.
I cannot avoid the problem by opening Firefox in Safe Mode. Several times I have uninstalled Firefox several times, made sure to download the appropriate version for my system (Win 7, 64-bit), deleted Mozilla files in the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders and then attempted a Clean Reinstall. I have run anti-virus and malware checks without identifying anything. Also did a Windows System Restore without success. Still the problem continues, regardless (but does not affect Firefox on my Apple Mac). Cannot find any fresh suggestions online so I would much appreciate some help with this.

Hi - I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this issue I've been having with Android Firefox?
Whenever I press the 'menu' key on my phone while running FF (tried with 16 and beta/17), the application crashes immediately. I briefly see my Android homescreen, then the FF page asking me to submit a crash report to Mozilla. I've done this, of course, and one of the links is attached.
I'm a bit surprised that I have not been able to find any mention on the interwebs about this issue. Perhaps someone can let me know what's going on?
