Hello,
I've literally had this problem for years. Periodically I will be redirected to a page which says a critical Firefox update is needed. I believe the URL changes but the current one is...
https://yaiphstepanida.org/9081136529040/c44ce05f2d85b8c58bc81a3a3bbfeec9/58067108aca988eb7bd3de77f84d4144.html At one point I even stopped using Firefox because of it. I had assumed it was caused by loadeding an addon with a hidden virus since refreshing Mozilla seemed to make it go away. I recently refreshed Firefox and haven't loaded any addons and it still appeared so clearly that is not it. Obviously I did not load the fake update. How do I get rid of it? TempusFugit

Almost every time I am on Facebook and click on Farmville to play that game, the first time I click on to go to my farm, I've been getting the "official-looking" red firefox screen and logo pop up with a gray colored pop up box that says it's an urgent firefox update. I've never clicked on the save button, I alwasy click cancel, close the pop up box, go back to Facebook and click on Farmville again, and everything runs fine, The latest one I encountered says it was a Java script coming from the following link, again it popped up after I logged into Facebook, and clicked on Farmville. Here's the link and file info: Urgent firefox update firefox-patch.js JavaScript File (2.6 KB) from https://podaimt2.net https://podaimt2.net/4761283090238/bea2ae3697608b4f8ce3a682c30d7e46.html

I was on Snagajob.com just now, searching for jobs. All of a sudden my screen just changed to what I assumed was the Mozilla update site, where it was a reddish orange colored screen, saying urgent update, please update now. So I clicked the update link, and a 2nd screen popped up. (Screenshot below) Then I looked at the address bar and this was the web address:
Can anyone please help? I don't know if I should continue to stay online, exit then reopen my browser, or what!! What will this do to my laptop? If this was fake how can I remove it? I have antivirus/malware installed and nothing popped up!

Firefox is crashing so frequently that I can't use it anymore. The days without crash reports are the days I did not use it. It crashes with flashplayer, at Facebook news feed, at a brazilian ebay website (mercadolivre.com.br) and it has been impossible to use it. It crashes always when I close it.

We have difficulty trying to connect to our server using a browser. Google Chrome can connect, but Mozilla Firefox cannot. This problem is related to the "Weak Diffie-Hellman and the Logjam Attack" (https://weakdh.org/)
- Activity log, sequence of actions we have conducted to try and fix the problem, and things we already know: #
1. Everything was fine 2. Firefox complained about the Weak Diffie-Hellman ephemeral key 3. Firefox can no longer access our server 4. But, Google Chrome CAN STILL access 5. Found out about "Weak Diffie-Hellman and the Logjam Attack" (https://weakdh.org/) 6. Tested Firefox using their website, and responded "Good News! Your browser is safe against the Logjam attack." 7. Tested Chrome using their website, and it responded that Chrome was vulnerable. 8. This explained why we could still access our server using Chrome 9. Updated Chrome to the latest version. 10. Tested Chrome using weakdh.org, and responded "Good News! Your browser is safe against the Logjam attack." 11. Tried accessing our site using Chrome, and it has the same error with Firefox. 12. Both Chrome and Firefox can no longer access the site at this point. 13. We followed the instruction located at https://weakdh.org/sysadmin.html for Apache Tomcat servers.
`ciphers="TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384,TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384,TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256,TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_SHA384,TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_SHA384,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_SHA,TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_SHA256,TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_SHA,TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_SHA256,TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_SHA256,TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_256_SHA,TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_SHA"`
14. Fix did not work both for Chrome and Firefox, still the same error. 15. We followed the instruction at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30931692/diffie-hellman-public-key-error-with-tomcat-7
`ciphers="TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA256,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA"`
16. Fix WORKED for Chrome BUT NOT for Firefox. 17. Firefox has error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_alert 18. We experimented on lesser number of ciphers but none worked 19. `ciphers="TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA"` 20. Same error for Firefox, still OK for Chrome.

i have ghostery and other protection so thankfully it seems no damage was done. but i dont know if this was phishing or what - perhaps more aggressive in fact??
posted to phishing reporting site just now - but thought i'd post here too in case other people have this problem, and to maybe learn more. going to install ublock addin after reading an earlier post.
wasn't doing anything remotely sketchy when this hit but investigating keyboard layouts at kbd-intl.narod.ru/english/layouts - which SEEMED innocent and useful enough.... but clearly that was the trigger - hibids10.com/ is also implicated - maybe i clicked on an image or something.

I uninstalled ver 57.x and 58.0 Now the corrupted version appears to be ver 58.0 the newer version that I just reinstalled is ver 58.0.1. McAfee virus protection quarantined the uninstall file in 58.0 thinking it was suspicious. I restored the file from quarantine but still can not delete version 58.0. It is taking up space, I tried running a search in file explorer and deleting all the Mozilla files. I am thinking maybe a registry issue. Any thoughts? Thanks
