The Menu Bar is missing, but not because it is in "full screen" or it is turned off. When I click it, it opens a whole different desktop-ish thing.

It is like it opens another desktop, and I have to slide my desktop to the right to get to mozilla. Although, it is solely for mozilla and is not a true other desktop. I can not find how to open it normally like it used too. I do not have any access to the menu bar for it. When it is in the mode, it does not show anything but the tabs and address bar. It does not even show the dock unless I scroll to the left to my main desktop. I am clueless and can not find anything anywhere on the web. Does anyone have a clue?

When I start up firefox, the original window displays my bookmark toolbar. But when I click a link where firefox opens a new window, not a new tab, the new window doesn't display my bookmark toolbar. I made sure that it was toggled to be on, and the original window has it, but the new one does not. I don't know how to fix it and it's really irritating because I use the toolbar a lot.

I just upgraded my Mozilla Firefox. My yahoo mail loads but opening an email takes forever and I cannot reply, forward, or delete any mail items.

My yahoo account works without a problem on my iphone so I know it is a problem with the computer/mail interface.

What can I do to fix this or go back to the old version of Firefox where I had no problems?

Keyboard Control FAIL: Using TAB key on websites directs cursor to nowhere!!! Why?

(using 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 MAC MINI, OS X Lion 10.7.5) I have always felt safer using the keyboard rather than mouse-clicking on search fields etc. (Open Firefox, hit command+L to the URL I want to go to, then hop to next field with TAB key).

Most notably frustrating example is with using Google, this has not worked right for some time. Say that you to start to search for something on google "main page" and then it goes to the search results page... You go to edit your search or type your next search and the cursor is flashing inside (but off center) of the search field and inputting text is not an option. Also you may instictively hit ESC (while in search field) when you are being given suggestions you don't want, and then the cursor moves again to this no-man's land in between fields.

The other KEYBOARD control issue that I have found is this: Sometimes you cannot Close Window or even Quit Firefox with the usual keyboard shortcut. Usually when a few windows or tabs are open, or when there is some pop-up survey etc. on page. You can usually ALT+TAB to another open program and then back, and then you can close window or application. But that seems really sketchy to me! This happens all the time on major websites. You can go File-> Close Window or File->Quit, but when you use the same keyboard command the file menu just flashes with an "error tone."

Firefox restore goes back to very old sessions, not most recent one

What used to happen: When Firefox crashes or I stop Firefox from the Mac Activity Monitor, it restores all the old tabs exactly as I had them last time.

What happens now: It keeps going back to one specific session. If I make any changes and then restore again (crash and restart for example) it goes back to this same old version.

I went to ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile folder> and took out all the sessionstore files (I moved them to another folder).

But STILL it is hung p on this version - and behind that it sees another older session.

So I figure it must be keeping some sessions stored somewhere else. But I can't find any other Firefox Profiles folder.

I'm really getting quite frustrated by this.

How do I get Firefox OUT of Groundhog Day mode and back in to remembering sessions as they were at the time of last closing / crashing Firefox?

Thanks!

I recently upgraded to Lion and I can't remember how I set this feature-- or is it just not available anymore?

How can one turn off the notifications in FF 22 (e.g. when you get an email on gmail) so that it doesn't override things like Growl?

Hi,

I'd like to find a way to disable the notifications on Firefox 22.0 (I'm running it on a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.7.5), especially when receiving emails on my gmail account. I used to use Growl (1.2.2; as far as I understood, newer releases have significant issues) for that kind of stuff and it was way better: it looked better and, most importantly, it could be seen from any desktop, i.e. not only on the Firefox window itself. But now it's overridden by Firefox and I found no way to avoid it...

Cheers

Hi,

I am using the newest version of FireFox on Mac and most days when I use Twitch.tv, the site will stop functioning and requires a Force Quit. It happens whenever I browse through the pages and the site must load videos. I have attempted uninstalling & reinstalling. Other OS' works fine.

Anyone know how to solve this?

moderator edited the title of this thread to get rid of the word "crashing" as Firefox is being forced to close by the user - it's not crashing

I wanted to enter the forum to ask about accessibility features for dyslexia with Firefox. The default webpage setting for firefox on my 17" macbook pro is tiny and takes up only the very central part of the screen. I can read a normal average well presented and spaced webpage font perfectly well, but to read something squashed down in size into the centre of a widescreen display is impossible. None of the firefox or mac menus appear to give any options to change the default size of the web page display. Pages can be zoomed in on, but that has to be done for every page every time and takes quite a number of "Apple key" +'s to get it to just a normal full screen size to show the font it the normal size it should be in and nut shrunk. Accessibility questions advise to increase font size, but that makes no difference at all. If there is a problem with firefox not displaying accessibly on a mac please can it be fixed by firefox or apple or an option built in to go to real full screen instead of the full screen setting leaving the page in its pretend squashed up "fullscreen". also if there is a solution, please could the help menus on the mac and in firefox and in the interactive questions before reaching this stage on this site advise the solution. saying just to zoom in is exhausting for every page every time and saying to increase font size for accessibility is just upsetting when the page stays so small, so even the largest fonts appear less than font size 10. please can there be a built in way and a built in guidance route to change the default page display size. thank you. not just for me but in the interests of accessibility for everyone using firefox on a mac. since starting this i did find something that led me to a downloadable firefox zoom add on, but I have continued with my question because I ask that other could be guided to this as standard please through accessibilty and display questions. Could there please perhaps be as standard an option in the view menu under "zoom" to increase default zoom setting. thank you.

When I am on Facebook in the new version of Firefox, my messages page comes up as a blank screen. Chat won't work either and the Edit drop-downs never load. It just keeps showing the loading symbol. Youtube videos won't play on Facebook either, which isn't as big of a deal. The videos play fine actually on Youtube though.

I've updated my computer, Firefox, and all of my add-ons, but the problem won't go away. Everything works fine in Safari; however, Safari isn't as secure as Firefox so I'd really rather not have to use it all the time.

If you have any idea what the problem might be and/or possible solutions, please let me know. Thank you.
