All of my bookmarks have been disappeared with a new automatic update (9/22) and now I'm left with no bookmarks at all. My other devices were not synced because my work computer needed different links saved. Any easy options for recovery? The bookmark management tool shows no options to import bookmarks and clicking any of the restore or import options does literally nothing. This is a huge issue for work flow and is putting me out of schedule. Why would an update remove ALL bookmarks? Seems like a serious over look in function.

As of a few days ago (mid-October 2025), when I'm on an eBay listing page, nothing I click on works. I can navigate to my watchlist, selling pages, etc, so it seems like it's just the listing pages. When I'm on a listing page, if I click on the heart to "watch" an item, nothing happens. If I click on thumbnails in the photos to try and view other images than the main one, nothing happens. The buttons on the right for "Add to Cart", "Buy it Now", etc also do not function. I think it's been about 3 or 4 days since this problem started. I opened a listing page in Chrome and it worked as usual, all the buttons seemed functional.

Hi, after latest update just now, the browsers uses up to 45gb of ram within a few minutes! Not sure what it is, I am on MACOS Sequia Version 15.6.1 (24G90) macbook pro M1

Firefox freezes when I try to sign into YouTube via Google. Becomes totally unresponsive and I have to close browser. It's the only site this happens on. I have cleared the cache and cookies, unchecked "Hardware Acceleration" and other recommendations from other posts. Please talk to me like I'm your Baby Boomer dad.

Password box is not live. Works fine on Safari. Works fine on the other (older) computer on Firefox. Only site I am having problems with today. (Know there was a big problem yesterday. Only started 10/21. Running an M1 Mac Mini Firefox 144.0 (aarch64). Mac is running Sequoia 15.6.1.

What do I have to do to get it back up and running? I would rather not have to change the password if i don't have to.

my desktop has changed i used to have buttons to access frequently used sites appear when i open firefox and now i don't, what happened and how do i get that back, in addition all my booklmarks have disapeared how can i get it back

Hi, I have the settings of 'General > Startup > [checked] Open previous windows and tabs' on. Most of the time it works as expected, but there are several occurrences when all of the sudden all of my pinned tabs are gone. When this happened, I usually tried the 'Command + Shift + T' to restore them. Sometimes they came back, some other times, they don't.

Can you fix it?

It's starting to get really irritating because I can have >12 tabs pinned and it's troublesome to have to remember them all in case this happens again in the future.

Is anyone else having problems with the latest version of Firefox not rendering Google Calender, Amazon.com and other websites?

I am subscribint to TheHybridLayer.com and the video requires access to player.vimeo.com. Unfortunately, the pop up message is saying that "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue." Please help me address the issue since I overwhelmed with this.

Current situation : I am using Macbook Air 11" 2015, MacOS Catalina, Firefox 145

My bookmarks have all disappeared, and while I have tried to follow the instructions on the help page to restore them, nothing is working as it has been indicated that it should in the help instructions. I do still have my Bookmarks tab on my tool bar. When I click on it I get a pull down menu, which does have a Manage BookMarks bar. However it is not at the bottom of my pull down menu, but at the top. When I click on the Manage BookMarks bar, instead of getting an Import and Backup Button, my pull down menu disappears, so I can not select Restore to use to get dated backups.

In the same way, I can not create new Bookmarks. When I click on Bookmark Current Tab, instead of getting the white box to enter instructions, the pull down menu disappears, just as it does when I click on Manage Bookmarks. I have never had this problem with Firefox before in all the years I have used it. I have no idea what has happened.

I have been trying to clear out the cache under settings (cookies & site data) (everything is checked under clear data) everything clears out except for 440 now 454 KB of disk space. I cannot get it to clear out. I even uninstalled fire fox and it was clear for a couple of uses and now it is back and instead of 440 it is now 454. ••• Cookies and Site Data Your stored cookies, site data, and cache are currently using 454 KB of disk space. I have rebooted my computer and when Firefox is restarted all the bookmarks in the bookmark toolbar are gone. I have Firefox set to sync these bookmarks on all devices and am concerned if I just initiate a new sync then the bookmarks will be deleted from all other devices instead of reloading them all from the Mozilla server. How can I force a reload of all sync'd bookmarks from the Mozilla server to my Firefox on this computer?

How can I block Google and other sites from knowing everything I do on Foxfire? Every time I visit anything that has membership Google is there asking to sign me in. I thought Foxfire was supposed to be somewhat private. Thanks!, Mark

I have lots of bookmarks saved and when I start typing the name of one I'd like it to appear first not after a lot of suggestions that I may or may not find useful.

Why is this not a simple option?

I am using Firefox on my MacOS Tahoe. There is a persistent annoying issue where whenever I close (physically fold) my laptop screen and reopen it, Firefox will be frozen. It will be frozen in the sense that I am unable to interact with any tabs or anything until I manually quit Firefox and reopen it (which automatically reopens all my tabs), making it usable again. This doesn't happen every time I close and reopen my Mac, but it definitely happens the majority of the time and makes the browser hard to use.

I've attached a screenshot of what a new window looks like when Firefox is frozen. It looks just like a Firefox window when unfocused.

Notes:

• It doesn't entirely freeze Firefox. In fact, I can "switch" to a different tab by clicking on the tab and then shutting and reopening my laptop again. The new tab will show on reopening but Firefox will still be frozen. This process can be repeated.
• I can pretty consistently replicate the bug by shutting my laptop, waiting 10 seconds, and reopening it. This will almost always result in the freeze.
• The bug still happens if I'm not focused on the Firefox window but on a different app.
• The bug doesn't seem to happen if I just lock my screen but don't shut it closed.

Things I've tried that haven't fixed it:

• Updating my OS.
• Restarting my laptop.
• Disabling hardware acceleration.
• Disabling themes and extensions.
• Deleting and reinstalling Firefox, including deleting the user data in the "Library/Application Support" folder.

Let me know if there's any more information I can provide or fixes I can try. Also let me know if I should go ahead and file a Firefox bug report for this. Thank you.

My browser often directs the shibboleth authentication to the sign-in page of my previous university, not to my current ones. An example is provided below: the first link gets automatically changed to the send one. How can I stop the browser from doing this, so that I can log in through my current university account?
