I am making a page with react and when I run it locally on Firefox specifically my page renders too many times. This results in unexpected behavior that is inconsistent across browsers. Is there a known issue with Firefox auto-rerendering or is there something I can do on my end to prevent this?

Apple Mac Pro (early 2009). Firmware 4.1 -> 5.1 macOS 10.13.5 Firefox 60.0.1

Hello, I have been using Firefox Quantum 60 and it has been working fine. I've just rebooted my machine and started Firefox. It gave me a message about how some process was acting strangely and might possibly be trying to start a ransomware attack. It listed 7 suspicious cache filenames and gave me the choice of blocking or trusting. I panicked slightly and clicked Trust. didn't think to grab a screenshot of this activity. Now when I try to launch Firefox, nothing happens whatsoever. I still have other copies of Firefox, namely the old Firefox, the Developer Edition, and the FirefoxNightly build, but I wanted to check with you before doing anything else and possibly making matters worse.

I hope you can help! I don't like being without Firefox for too long!

Thanks in advance, Carl

Firefox 59 (Beta) crashed with when running python selenium script which set preference ('media.navigator.permission.disabled', True) on Firefox. Firefox 58 works fine. Firefox 59 crashed when our scripting is trying to use the camera and mic on browser. It seems to be a Firefox bug.

Here are the code:

def setUpClass(cls):

if browser == 'firefox': d1 = DesiredCapabilities.FIREFOX d1['loggingPrefs'] = { 'browser':'ALL' }

fp1 = webdriver.FirefoxProfile() fp1.set_preference ('media.navigator.permission.disabled', True) fp1.update_preferences() cls.driver = webdriver.Firefox(firefox_profile=fp1, capabilities=d1)

Firefox has also disappeared from the Launchpad on my MacBookPro, and I could not anywhere obtain a sign in page until I persisted in asking the same question four times on what appeared to be a Firefox support window. None of the standard statements of Firefox problems appear to address my inability to sign in to Firefox and use it as I did during the month of March 2018.

We have a series of audio files associated with our Members section of our web site and which members can select by typing in a number. Up until I the other day these audio files all worked when using Firefox browser, then suddenly for no apparent reason, they stopped working and all we get is the error message: No video with supported format and MIME type found I have looked through all the support answers, but cannot find anything for this problem when running Firefox on an iOS based system. Our web site is: yourhiddenmind.com But to access the audios you have to be a subscribing member. All the audio files are stored with FlyWheel and they can be access and played with other browsers such as Safari, etc.

When trying out an upload implementation with different browsers, we noticed that firefox where slower than other browsers. We tried other services to see if it was only our implementation that where faulting, but saw the similar lock to 10mbit/s upload speed to youtube, google drive etc.

Googling the issue didn't show any solutions or anyone having the same issue, but we had 3 computers with the issue, 2 Mac and one with Windows 10, latest versions of FF.

We managed to find a setting in about:config called "network.http.spdy.send-buffer-size" and bumped it to 12582912 (same as network.http.spdy.pull-allowance, dont ask me why), default 131072, and this increased the upload speed to approximately 40mbit/s.

Why is there a limit? Old firefox versions does not seem to have this limit.

An odd issue that is happening only when using my Wacom tablet (which I do use a lot instead of a mouse - helps with RSI) with macos FF: whenever clicking with tablet on a select element, it closes right away, usually also selecting some random item in process. Which is annoying. Reinstalling Wacom drivers didn't help either. Other browsers or native OS controls seem to be unaffected...

Something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vwaepoak5jpxcxo/clicks.mov?dl=0

Looking at the generated clicks events log (see attached image), it looks like there is some extra click events happening at random locations on the screen after the main click, which causes the <select> to close down again.

What's the best way of troubleshooting and/or reporting this?
