A long time ago I think I changed my Firefox settings so that when I print a web page, all the links on that that page get printed with their often l-o-n-g URLs. Some pages are really hard to read with about 8 long URLs all over the page.
I've googled around on how to change it, but haven't had any luck.
Can anybody help?
Thanks :-)

Someone else asked this question recently and a user replied "Yes, go to about:config and set privacy.resistFingerprinting = true. " But, this doesn't make sense, where is about:config? Where is privacy.resistfingerprinting? I can't find those options.
Thank you
I need to see when I first accessed several websites. The history does not show it, but maybe I'm missing something. I appreciate any help.

When I'm browsing and open a new page, I hear an annoying sound like someone is firing a Star Wars blaster. How do I get rid of it? It's driving me crazy.

Thanks.

I will click on the URL for a specific website (often a Tumblr blog) and the browser will automatically redirect me to a Yahoo! search for terms related to that phrase. In some cases I can click the back button and it will take me to the website I originally wanted to go to, but sometimes it doesn't even do that. It's very annoying. The most common example of this is when I attempt to visit the blog gaslightgallows.tumblr.com, which redirects me to the search screenshotted in the attached image.

My Firefox has been freezing up on my MacBook for a couple of days and today I got this message when I tried to open an email account:
Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on.
Since I did not turn it off, I am at a loss as to how to turn it on.
Thank you Peggy Nesheim

I have many bookmark folders. Sometimes I want to go to the folder where a bookmark is to to organize the folders.
When I cannot remember where I put a bookmark, I am forced to sift through all my folder because when I do a search and I click on my bookmark, it does not show which folder its in.
Can you add the functionality of highlighting the containing folder in the left column or at least adding the containing folder name in the bookmark description on the bottom.
Thanks.

Two Related Questions to fav icons:
1 Where are the fav icon stored in my Firefox Profile?
2 Is there any savvy way to drag an icon onto a bookmark item on my bookmark toolbar (without an icon) and it be updated with the icon? (I right clicked on the bookmark and I could not see any field for fav icon.)
Thankyou

I have read the other solutions to this and have implemented all of them. I disabled hardware acceleration, and updated all media drivers. This slowed down the crashes, but Firefox is still sluggish. I'm running Firefox 36.0.1 on a OSX 10.10.2 multiple addons.

Why do I find Firefox forzen and a rectangular white box on the screen of my MacPro after the computer goes into into screen saver mode and I come back to type again? I have to Force-Quit Firefox and restart my tabs from scratch.
It got so annoying that I switched to Chrome for a while, but Chrome is a power grabber that would not let me upload to Amazon the cover images for print books I write. I want to switch back to Firefox, but the only way to keep it from dying on me is to keep the screen saver and the eco-saver sleep modes completely off. This only started happening after I installed the new Yosemite OS, so maybe there's an incompatibility of some sort.
Here is a screen shot of how the white box looks on the frozen Firefox screen. Well, hmm. Looks like this image won't upload either! Oh well!
Anybody know what's wrong or how to fix it?

I have just reinstalled my operating system and ALL of my bookmark's favicons are empty (small box with a dotted border). Not just in the bookmarks bar, but in all my bookmarks folders. This is happening on both Firefox and Firefox Dev Ed. Not in other browsers. I've tried the Restore Empty Favicon extension; no joy.
Any answers?
Thanks.

Hi, Am using Firefox 40.0.2 on a Macbook Air and have the spinning ball of death all the time recently and only on Firefox... other browsers are ok. When I disabled all Add-ons, the spinning ball stops. When I painstakingly disabled and tested one at a time, the spinning ball never went away. How is this possible? Is there anything I'm not thinking of or anything else I can try? Here are screenshots of all my add-ons. Thanks!!
