I spent almost an entire day setting up my firefox browser shortcuts, themes and extensions on my laptop. It was exactly how I wanted it. Now it is all gone! I had not written all the web addresses down. how do I get them all back?

I use Firefox for Linux on a Lenovo ideacentre desk top and on an Android mobile (Google Pixel). I live in the UK. I've saved my debit card details on both devices and autofill works perfectly on my phone but won't work on the PC. I've checked settings multiple times and everything seems to be properly set. I've just checked (via about:config) that my regions supports autofill and it does. When I try to use autofill, my card details appear in a box but when I click on the card number to fill the details, nothing happens! I've tried disabling the extensions I normally use on the desk top (Privacy Badger and ClearURLs) but that didn't resolve the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried restoring my bookmarks using these steps but it doesn't work. Specifically, when I try to select "Choose File" in Step 3 nothing happens. The option will highlight, but when I click on it no window to choose a file pops up. Is there any other way to restore bookmarks using a json backup?

Firefox won't load any webpages. Every website I try to open fails to load, even though my internet connection is working. I have restarted Firefox and my laptop, but the problem till exists. I am using a Lenovo laptop. Please help me fix this issue

Hello! I'm on Debian, and there Firefox ESR is the default browser, it is now basically unusable as it is so out of date that Cloudflare Turnstile no longer works.

This is a major problem.

I was using the weather, clock and image of the day widgets. Yesterday they were on my start and now they are missing. When I look under settings and home, widgets are not listed. How can I get them back?

How do I get to - "Usernames and passwords are not saved" ? ? - it does Not say - Passwords in settings - so how do I get there ? I need to SAVE my gmail log in password so I don't have to keep typing it in to OPEN gmail and to subscribe to videos  ! BandOfLife@gmail.com July 19 2026

It is very annoying to not be able to have acces to my scholarship, my accommodation, or just my whole student services in general even if they are websites from the french government. I cannot bypass the mozilla security risk warning so I'm asking for some help here. the website is https://messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/

it would be a great update to be able to go past the warnings in the future, being unable to do so forces users to switch of browser, especially when you cannot have acces to such websites which are essential for students

Despite implementing ad blocker extensions, the browser remains saturated with cookies and persistent advertisements. Regularly clearing browsing data and cookies is necessary; however, navigating to the settings menu is time-consuming. I recommend developing a browser widget that facilitates rapid data clearing directly from the toolbar or frame. Additionally, implementing a session-saving feature to preserve a set of pinned tabs upon closing and reopening the browser would enhance workflow efficiency, allowing for a quick start with a predefined workspace.

This is all happening while using it for simple tasks like search or copying a text.

Furthermore, the browser experiences severe performance degradation when utilizing certain web applications, such as Kapwing for video editing. Since uninstalling Vivaldi, I am considering migrating to an alternative browser due to these issues. Tasks that typically require one minute are now prolonged to hours, as the browser intermittently becomes unresponsive, effectively limiting usability. This sluggishness persists even after system restarts, with CPU utilization reaching approximately 50%, as detailed in the attached performance report. Notably, I encountered a significant delay—up to an hour—to correct a single spelling error or open a new tab, indicative of underlying performance bottlenecks.

Please address these issues to improve browser stability and usability.

Firefox recently had an update, and now when I am uploading files, I can't double click to upload selected files. I have to first select the file, and then click the open button.

Before the latest Firefox update, I could simply double click on files to upload. This workflow was much faster.

If I go to about:config, and search for: widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal.file-picker, I can change the value from 0 to 2, and then I can upload files by double clicking. However, then Firefox forgets my last upload location, and always opens in the home folder.

If I set it back to 0, it remembers my last upload location, but I can't double click to open files.

My current Firefox version is 152.0.1. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
