Win 11 stopped working on my Lenoovo Yoga due to bitlocker key requirement that does not exist I'm in the process of installing Ubuntu during the installation something went wrong "system program problem detected" which stopped the installation

Have an old computer and running Ubuntu

Want to keep Firefox but old man and don’t understand certain aspects

A problem with an x.0 version? I've been using FF from "source code" for years on Debian Linux, but this is the first time such an update is failing after the most recent update to v133.0, as illustrated in attached image. How can I now update to the fix for this problem, please?

I'm very much computer-ignorant. I'm getting messages on various sites that I need to update my current browser. Downloaded latest Firefox, but lost as to next step. I'm on LinuxMint.

Help/About Firefox tells me I have - ver 112.0.1 (64-bit)

There is no option to automatically update.

I have downloaded this zip file - firefox-130.0(1).tar.bz2

QUESTION - How do I instal the update  ? - or can I not with my system - as below

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. I'm trying to update to firefox version 133.0. My O.S. is Ubuntu 20.04. I've untarred the tarball to ~/firefox/firefox-133.0/.

If I startup the new firefox, I receive the following error message: "libxul.so, undefined symbol: gdk_window_show_menu".

I also tried firefox version 120.0, except the result was the same.

How can I fix this?
