Using Firefox 117.0.1 on Windows 10, whenever I try to download a file (eg right-clicking an image, 'Save image as...') or upload a file (eg a photo to Facebook or a PDF to Cloudconvert), Firefox completely freezes (greys out) and no matter how long I wait this doesn't resolve. In the end I have to click the red X icon at top right, completely shut down the programme, then re-open it. And it continues to be impossible to upload or download.

When Firefox is in fullscreen mode and Windows taskbar is set to autohide the taskbar cannot be accessed unless I press the windows key to bring up the entire start menu. Once the start menu has been accessed and the same window is in focus, it works as intended by moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen. Switching windows breaks the function again.

I am trying to access a site for a public utility in Israel, with the country-level domain .il. Firefox continually reports this as '403 forbidden'. I've cleared the cache, which did not solve the problem, but am reluctant to take other measures since I don't know their side effects.

Is this an anti-Israel setting created within Firefox as part of a BDS campaign? Or has the system been hacked by BDS supporters or similar.

EDIT: I've solved it by installing Kaspersky's extension. I have been troubled by an issue that every time I perform a search on some websites, the page will first freeze for ~10s, during which I can't click on anything on the page. However firefox itself is not totally freezed, like I can switch tabs without any issues, but if I click on the icons of extensions (such as my adblocker) it won't give me any response. After the freeze the page started to load normally. I have tried disabling all extensions, reinstalling firefox, updating to beta, and disabling security.tls.enable_0rtt_data, but none of these works. Other browsers on my device work normally, including Edge and Chrome. Websites that freeze during a search: Google, Bing, Musescore, Duckduckgo Websites that DO NOT freeze during a search: Github, Youtube, Twitter I have encountered this issue both on 117.0.1 and 118.0.

Recently, about one out of four webpages that I try to visit seem to fail to load on FireFox. This is FF for Windows, and is the most updated version. This issue even occurred just now when typing in MOZILLA.COM. Everytime one of these pages fails I attempt it with Chrome or Brave, and it works just fine. It does not matter whether they're ventured to through Google links or other links, or whether I type the address in manually. It only happens sometimes, as other times the same page loads just fine.

My Firefox browser automatically updated a few days ago. Since the update, the browser now crashes repeatedly during basic browsing, making Firefox essentially unusable. For instance, retrieving Yahoo mail, reading articles, accessing login pages -- the page will enter some type of refresh/reload cycle and crash the browser.

I opened the browser in troubleshoot mode and the problem did not occur. Following the Mozilla instructions, I disabled extensions and reopened the browser normally, and the crashes continued. I have not taken any additional actions.

This problem began immediately after the latest browser update on 9/13.

Hi,

I'm not sure I'm asking in the right place, but I couldn't find anywhere else that would match my question better.

I recently submitted a new add-on, which has just been accepted and added to the store. I'd like to submit an alternate version of the same add-on as another extension, but I haven't been able to. The first add-on provides two features, but one of them requires access to web requests; the second add-on removes that feature entirely and therefore does not need to access anything (other than a button press), hence why I'd like to add it as another, separate extension.

The first submission went smoothly, no issues at all; however, today after making the necessary changes to the add-on to make the alternate version, I tried submitting it and have been unable to because Multiple submissions violating our policies have been sent from your location. The IP address has been blocked.. I'm forced to use a VPN, and I assume this the reason why I'm getting this error message.

I've tried restarting my router, changing my location on my VPN, or briefly turning off my VPN, even using another computer, but it always results in the same error message after doing the captcha, preventing me from submitting the other add-on. What can I do?

I assure you I'm not a bot -- although that's probably what a bot would say in this situation...

Thank you.

Like in the title, anything that has boxes on them have a weird white box or just not the right colored and flicker when hovering over them. The corners of the boxes also become not rounded. Happens on other websites like youtube too, not just the settings. Started happening when I updated to version 116.0.1. I downgraded to version 113.0 and everything was fine. Both are on fresh install so I don't think it is related to any extensions that I downloaded. I am using a device with arm windows so the platform is ARM64/AArch64.

Currently on macOS Firefox 117.0.1 and in the last week I noticed I can't authenticate with my Yubikey anymore. The browser will prompt for the key ("touch your security key", etc.). I have used Firefox on a 27" MAC for many many years. In fact I have used Firefox on many macs since Firefox was first offered. As of the last update or browser upgrade offered by Mozilla for Firefox for Apple desktops, most all streaming video service no longer work. YouTube, Amazon Prime, and Netflix all stall after a minute or less of selecting a video from the above vendors. I get the little spinning arrow, and then a screen message that states that my ISP is not providing me with enough bandwidth to stream video. Absolute nonsense. Using Safari I have absolutely no issues, problems, stalls, buffering, error messages etc., and the experience is what I used to get from Firefox. I have lots of bandwidth available, and have had a professional network engineering service provider check my internet connection. Even if I make sure no other tabs, applications or other iterations are running, ONLY Firefox, it stalls and will not play video. Then I get another screen message that states that "maybe if you restart your device you may be able to play video". While I realize that Firefox is free, I still think I should have a reasonable expectation that it will continue to provide buffer, stall, and hang free performance when I want to watch YouTube, Amazon Prime and or Netflix.
